I had a very horrible experience with this vet. long story short my dog was dying and we had to go to him because of an emergency since our vet was not available that day. he did a bunch of tests which some we already did so i do not know why he had to do again and he drugged my dog up so bad that he could not even sleep at night and just looked completely dazed for 24 hours. the guy gave us extra pain killers which i do not know why we would need when he was so drugged up already. the total visit ended up going from $400 to $1000 within seconds. we ended up having to put him down at our other vet after we did an xray and found out he had cancer. the guy had the audacity to call me the day we were putting my dog down and try and sell himself to put our dog down instead. i really do not recommend going to him he is clearly more focused on making money than caring for your pet. This animal hospital is the worst! We went here because our vet was too busy the day of and he was extremely sick so we looked up another place close by. They were trying to up charge everything and didnt even care about our dogs well being. DO NOT GO HERE, PURE MONEY GRABBERS! The one on Rutherford and keele is way better! Read Less

Out of the three other vets I have visited in Richmond Hill, this is the most expensive by a lot. Fortunately he is a very competent veterinarian, but if you have the money why not. Read Less

I would absolutely recommend them. My cats are always so comfortable around Dr. P and he makes them feel very comfortable. I adopted a cat that's been pretty shy around strangers but he felt at home the first time I brought him. I call them whenever I have concerns and they are so great about that. Dr. P stayed overnight with my kitten once because the Humane Society did some bad work when they fixed her so I immediately brought her here. He was very concerned and stayed overnight to make sure she was ok. Your pets will definitely be in great hands with this veterinarian! Read Less

Horrible and Traumatizing. I brought my new puppy the day after I took her home to see Dr. Pietrowski because she had diarrhea. He did several test, gave her an IV etc. etc and charged me over $350. A week later my puppy had diarrhea again and was vomiting and I was ready to take her to emergency but was adviced to just watch her and wait and see the vet first thing in the morning. She was much better the next morning, but because the vet called and said "it would be much safer to take her in cause she is very young", I brought her in and he again gave her several needles and an IV and I took home a more lethargic puppy than I had when I took her in. Also another $350 poorer. I found out later on that this was normal for puppies who just left their litter and that I could have remedied it with canned pumpkin and rice. Not only did my poor puppy have to endure so many useless and uncomfortable procedures, Dr. Pietrowski took advantage of the fact that I was a first time puppy owner and made me feel guilty about not giving her the treatment he recommended. I confirmed this when I met a new dog owner in my neighborhood that had a similar experience and was charged $800. Horrible, horrible, horrible. During one visit for her shots, I made it a point to ask the nurse how much I would be paying and true enough, after going, Dr. Pietrowski kept on "suggesting" what other shots she would need and kept adding to my bill. He took a swab of her ear and said she had an ear infection "again" and would prescribe her medicine (which of course you would have to buy from him). I declined all his suggestions and left. Never to come back. My puppy is a year old now and I am happy I found a better vet at King Road Animal Hospital who really wants to care for your pet and not empty your wallet. Read Less

I first brought my dog there for viral infection, long story short, multiple tests had to be conducted because the vet needs another test to validate his first test. In total, it costs me close to two thousands. I switched dog food as recommend by the vet. Few weeks later I had to bring my dog back because of skin irritation. Of course after ten minutes of examination and two hundred dollars later, the vet recommended another test. The next day the vet phoned me and told me that he needed to do one more text to be on the safe side. I listened and one day later, I was told I needed to do another test to confirm the initial suspicion. Finally I had enough with this vet, and I brought my dog to another animal hospital. He was so reluctant to release my dogs medical records claiming he needed to review it before releasing it. It took me at least eight phone calls from me and the new animal hospital that I finally received my dogs record. After the new vet at Elgin Mills animal hospital reviewed my dogs file and told me that my dog was healthy and the vet at tower hill put him on a medicated food and there is no need for any additional test. It was just a simple allergy. The vets name is dr Piotroski. There are plenty of animal hospitals, please do not go to this place! Read Less

Several years ago we were looking for a new vet clinic in the Richmond Hill area. We found Tower Hill-Bathurst Animal Hospital and we are extremely happy with their service. Dr P., Jenny and all of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. When we visit with one of our 6 cats, we are always seen on-time and provided with clear explanations. We enjoy Dr. Piotrowski's friendly personality and sense of humour. All of the staff & services at this animal hospital are amazing! My guinea pig was ill for a day and I brought her in the next morning without an appointment because she was hardly breathing. The staff dropped everything they were doing and started to tend to her immediately. She probably passed away before we even got there, but we were very impressed with the care and compassion they showed us. I definitely recommend Dr. Piotrowski's clinic to any pet owner who wants the best care for their pet. Read Less

I have taken two of my pets in to see Dr. Peter, my cat and my dog. He was really really nice and before even seeing my pets, took my parents and myself on a tour of his hospital to show us what great facilities he had; really clean and state of the art facilities. He also made us feel at ease, as we are nervous when we bring our pets to get check ups. He was very nice and handled my cat and dog with lots of care. Perhaps the greatest attribute of Dr. Peter is that he answers any and all questions in a sincere and concise manner. You can ask him anything and you do not need to be scared or worried that you are taking too much of his time. He really put us at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. Peter for anyone with a pet!!
