WARNING!! READ THIS BEFORE USING WELDRICK ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND/OR DR. DARIY!! I took my dog into this vet for a procedure, and got her back injured. After 2 weeks of return visits in an attempt of determining why she was limping so badly after her appointment, and upon my realization that there was a large, newly formed welt on her chest, I received no less than 4 completely different diagnosis's from him, which ranged anywhere from sudden "arthritis", to "cancer" via a "malignant tumour". Fed up with the vet's guesses as to why my dog was worse after her visit than before, I proceeded to have her thoroughly examined elsewhere by a different vet, and was advised, after an incision was made in her chest to investigate the welt, that she had likely been manhandled while in Weldrick's care. As it appeared that her limp was the result of a broken toe, the welt turned out to be a large, and oddly placed blood blister that formed after her chest had been badly pinched up-against something blunt (the example I was provided with was that her underside was hit against the side of his operating table, and she was then pulled up onto the table, thus pinching her flesh between her ribcage and the underside of the table), which occurred during the same time that her toe was injured. After filing a formal complaint with the College of Veterinarians (CVO), I devastatingly learned that Dr. Dariy had been suspended, fined, and shut-down only 2 months earlier, for a malpractice that occurred during another dog's surgery. While my complaint ended in a recommendation by the College that Dr. Dariy retain a mentor to further educate him on proper protocol as well as him being reprimanded for forwarding other animal's medical history's to me in as he attempted to convince me that my dog had cancer (which she didn't), the College, unlike the Food Inspection Agency who requires restaurants to advise patrons that they've been caught doing something unsafe, doesn't require a vet to post a notice to advise of his prior convictions & suspensions, which I can assure you that had that occurred, I clearly NEVER would have subjected by dog to this incapable person's barbaric practices. PLEASE THOUGH, don't take my word for it - go onto the CVO's website for yourself, and read all about Dr. Dariy's conviction & suspension, just so that you see for yourself, that this guy is hardly capable of caring for anything, let alone a beloved pet. With a growing number of vet's opening in plaza's on every street corner, why would you risk your pet's wellbeing, if you could take it to a vet who hasn't been suspended and shut-down after being found guilty of malpractice?
