We have had extremely good service with the Village Veterinary Clinic. Our little dog was quite sick for the last 12 days and we cannot say enough about their kind approach. During that time, we had to go see a vet 4 times and they were wonderful. Thank you everyone. Special thanks to Dr. Mary-Lynn Lackie who was coming back from a sabbatical on the 30th September and accompanied us to saying goodby to our little one. Words cannot describe how this woman was good to us, caring. Thank you again to all of you.

I called the clinic to inquire about the food brand they carried, I was put on hold for several minutes, when someone picked up the line, they hung up.
I then persisted to go in person, I was looking for glucose weight management food, and it was behind the counter. I inquired to have a bag which was then refused by the lady working. She couldn’t sell me the food since she hadn’t seen my cat. I told her that I was in desperate need of cat for my diabetic feline that would be out of food by tomorrow morning. She completely refused.
Shame on you Village Veterinary Clinic. Is the well being of animals your priority? After my experience with your business, I can confirm that it isn’t, you’re after the money i’ll give you for a visit.

I have been looking (for quite some time) for a "country vet" and the Village Veterinary Clinic in Russell and specifically Dr. Mary Lynn Lackie came highly recommended. In all honesty the recommendations could not do it justice. I brought my new rescue puppy for two visits and attended a recent open house held at the clinic and have consistently been blown away. Firstly, Dr. Lackie what down to earth, professional, knowledgeable and genuine vet, humbly owning the practice and still taking the time to take on new clients, I can't say enough good things about her. The clinic it-self (as I saw in the recent open house) is fantastically/surprisingly well appointed to handle up to all but the most serious of pet afflictions. Clean, modern and staffed by a group of people who genuinely care about the client and their furry companions. I strongly recommend this vet for all the reasons above and for those I simply can't fit in here. I am confident in the care that can/has been thus far provided, pricing structure is reasonable and the facility to notch. I trust I echo the sentiment of every client who brings their pets here.

We normally don't use this vet clinic but our vet was out of town and we couldn't wait for his return. The receptionists were very friendly but Dr. Ruth Irving, the Veterinarian, was extremely condescending and intimidating. She made us feel like our questions were stupid and talked to us like we were children who didn't understand... A very unexpected experience to have with a veterinarian.
We will be sure to never bother her again as it seemed like we were wasting her time. We were also charged $73 for 10 minutes. Needless to say, we definitely do not recommend using this vet.

It is never easy saying good by to a furry family member, it was even more difficult when your puppy just turns one. The care and compassion shown to me and my family from everyone at the clinic was nothing less than spectacular and it made saying goodbye palatable during our most dark day. Many thanks to Mary Lyn for staying with us until our Ivy was peacefully asleep and offering us anything we needed to help get us through...well, words can't express how much that meant. We will continue to bring our other pets to the clinic, like we have been for 8 years now, because they treat us with kindness and respect and have always been there for us.
