I am absolutely amazed with the care we received for my dog Murphy. Most of Murphy's life he has had skin issues, ear issues and was always chewing on himself. But a couple months ago we saw he had eye issues. Our previous vet would give us a cream or drops to put in and that was the end of it. He told me to call a vet in the USA, which I did but they had no openings till February of 2019. I was worried for my dog. One day while I was on Facebook I read a review for a vet that helped a woman's dog with its eyes. So I called, we made an appointment. We were introduced to Dr. Aziz @ Dog & Cat Clinic of Niagara. He was so concerned with Murphy. So he made a plan with us, and we followed it. No people food whatsoever! And we left with food, antibiotics, prednisone and pain meds. Within a few days we noticed a difference. But after some of the medics were finished we had the bad eyes again and the chewing and licking. So a bit of med change. But we also did swabs of his eyes and an allergy test. Wow amazing news, some of the food we were feeding him actually he was allergic to. Including the hypoallergenic recommended by the vet. So we followed his plan and we have results. Now we know what he is allergic to so time to avoid those things! Dr. Aziz worked with us to get to the bottom of the issues. He is all for the animal, not lining his pocket. If you get no answers from your vet, maybe it's time for a change. So glad I did. I came to this clinic after hours in a panic because my pup had to have his stomach pumped, and this is now the only vet clinic i will ever go to. The staff are ALL lovely and kind. We have been taking our cats here for years. Recently our Siamese Mix Fries was diagnosed with Diabetes. The Doctors and staff were caring and compassionate with him and guiding us through his treatment. It had been difficult and challenging however the staff at the D & C clinic were always there on the phone and in the office. We took our dog in for the first time. Wonderful clinic. Staff is efficient and extremely friendly. I found them to be very thorough and greatly enjoyed dealing with them. I would like to thank all of the amazing wonderful staff at the Dog and Cat Clinic of Niagara. If it wasn't for them and the outstanding care that they provide, my wonderful rescue kitty would not be here today. The organization and staff go above and beyond to ensure that EACH animal receives the best quality of care possible. They look after both the animal and the owner. This week I had the absolute joy of going to the vet for a checkup, to find out that after months of having a cast on, we were able to remove his cast! With tears in my eyes the staff cheered and hugged me. It has been quite a journey and I could not imagine enduring this process without them. Between phone calls on holidays, long weekends and DAILY calls when he was staying there, they were always compassionate and willing to go the extra mile. They work hand in hand with providing information to the pet owner, to ensure that the individual understands and comprehends the medical needs the pet requires. Staff is wonderful and Dr Aziz is exceptional.. While our dog was sick, he suggested everything possible to try and keep him alive. Kept telling us not to give up. But finally a year ago tomorrow there was no more we or he could do. He and his assistant rushed to our house and we said our final good bye. Thank you for all your efforts. We have seen many changes , but the best change has occurred since Dr Aziz took over the practice. He and his staff are without doubt the most caring and considerate group of practitioners; they take the time to listen, they are genuinely empathetic, very knowledgeable and do not talk down to the pet parents.
