Since moving to Niagara region, I started taking my two Bichon Frisee dogs to Fairview Animal Clinic in St. Catharines.
I wish to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Heather Combe, the daughter of the preeminent veterinarian Dr. William Combe, for taking care of my little doggies Maya and Chana.
Dr. Combe's expertise and knowledge are outstanding and she always goes above and beyond to do everything to make sure my little friends get the best treatment. My 15 years old Chana had acute pain and mobility issues which Dr. Combe successfully treated. My other dog, is 12 years old and was restored to health and vigor after two cancer surgeries. I can now enjoy long walks with my beloved Maya, thanks to Dr. Combe.
I would also like to recognize the efficient and compassionate staff. You can be confident your pets will receive the best care they deserve at Fairview Animal Clinic.

They use to be great but now I am thinking so poorly of them. They are too busy, understaffed, different vet every time. Why do the vets keep leaving? Don't understand the turnover of staff. Maybe it should be less about making more money and more about the animals lives.

PLEASE READ THIS My 3.5 yr old dog died Christmas day (2018) She was sweet, loving, healthy and active. She had her yearly vaccination shot Nov 22 of that yr.She was fine until Dec 22, then I noticed blood in her urine and she became lethargic. Rushed to the OVC in Guelph, Immune mediated hemolytic anemia, She went through a barrage of tests, there was no cancer, no tumors, no infections or toxins in her body. The only possible cause of this disease was her vaccination. The experts at OVC agreed. They did everything they could to try and save her, 3 blood transfusions and powerful drugs, nothing could save her.The reason I am telling you this is because her death should never of happened. If your pet has already had their puppy shots they may be already immune for life. Believe me I did the research on this. There is something called a titer test (pronounced tighter), a simple blood test that can tell you how much immunity your dog still has in their system. I knew nothing about this before. Holistic vets recommend no shots after the puppy shots or at the most every 3 yrs. My dog didn't need this booster because she was already immune, so this shot sent her immune system into hyper drive, started attacking her own red blood cells. She lasted a month before I could tell something was wrong.She was the most wonderful dog ever. It is heartbreaking. Please research IMHA or AIHA, because it is proven, vaccines can cause this. Sometimes money becomes more important to people than other things and vaccines are a huge money maker for vets. Titer tests don't cost as much as a vaccine. If your vet won't do a titer or says you don't need one, go somewhere else. I am not blaming my vet, I am blaming all vets who give yearly shots with no regard to what can happen.Please do the research. For your own peace of mind. You don't want to go through the agony and grief I have been going through.Her name was "Liberty" and she was the sweetest. Love you girl.

I checked price on a rabies booster and thought it was really expensive at $105. Will have to check around to find out if that's comparable.

I have had an awful time finding a vet I trusted since I moved to the area, Fairview Vet clinic put my mind at ease. Their prices are reasonable, their vets are compassionate and understanding, and they always make room for my animals in an emergency. I never feel as though they are pressuring me to get more money put of me, they always give me honest feedback, while still making sure my animals have the best care possible.

My review only reflects recent visits. I was a customer for 15 years and loved it until recent. Recently i booked an appointment for a regular checkup and shots. I came to find out i didn't have my usual vet i was with someone new and not informed about it. i didn't think much of it until now. This new inexperienced experience with my dog. My dog was misdiagnosed in my opinion which is causing lots of health problems now. When i called to complain i had no feeling of the owner caring. Over all the new vet has confirmed that my dog did NOT need the medication that they gave him. And this medication is what caused some health issues. It has been a nightmare!! i expected more after 15 years of loyalty. There is so much more but not enough space here for my disappointment. Very upset.

Extremely professional and friendly staff. This was my first time bringing a pet to a vet so i was nervous but they took the time to explain everything and even showed me my cats issue in some textbooks with greater detail. Very reasonable rates for a visit and medication and a great experience overall. Will be returning in the future for sure.

My bill was astounding.high..... I have dealt with vets for 20 yrs I had to pay them while I was spending a few minutes with my beloved dog before I had him put to sleep they actually put the visa machine in my hand.. I didnt look at the bill till the next month..I was heart broken.... one hour in the clinic cost me a thousand dollars..no surgery....just x-rays,,,,.always ask these people how much they are charging before you allow them to work on your animalvery greedy

I'm so happy we found this place years ago! They have a very caring staff, and they pay close attention to the needs of their patients/clients. We have never had any complaints. They try to keep the cost reasonable while taking excellent care of our pet. We've been with them over a lot of years with more than one dog and have always had confidence that our beloved pets were in good hands. I highly recommend them.

We were attending a previous vet for several years, who would poke and prod at my pets, say "hmmm" then turn and type into the computer. Never really explaining what was going on. I have a Puppy Mill Rescue Pug/ShihTzu mix who super stresses at the vets and with meeting new people and I didn't feel our Vet was telling us everything. So we decided to shop around try out Fairview. Destiny immediately got down to her knees and called over my little dog, who, shockingly for me, ran right into her arms! She was so loving with Felix! She was so patient with me and handled me with just as much care, while I questioned everything, and explained my distress about being left in the dark. Their prices are so reasonable! With the initial introductory once over, check up and his up-to-date vaccinations it was half the cost of our other Vet! I couldn't be happier! Thank you so much Destiny, for putting this pet parent, who's fur-baby is her life, at ease!

I recently brought my dog to this vet for her updated shots. I have always brought my dog here but my last visit they charged me for the basic health assessment which they never did. It was only a day later when checking her teeth that one was black and rotten. If the vet even looked they would have seen this. I took my dog to a vet in fort Erie, they charged much less and had to immediately pull the tooth. If the vet at fairview actually looked at my dogs teeth which they claim to check every time, we could of had it taken care of sooner.

Since moving to Niagara region, I started taking my two Bichon Frisee dogs to Fairview Animal Clinic in St. Catharines.
I wish to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Heather Combe, the daughter of the preeminent veterinarian Dr. William Combe, for taking care of my little doggies Maya and Chana.

I have had an awful time finding a vet I trusted since I moved to the area, Fairview Vet clinic put my mind at ease. Their prices are reasonable, their vets are compassionate and understanding, and they always make room for my animals in an emergency. My review only reflects recent visits. I was a customer for 15 years and loved it until recent. Recently i booked an appointment for a regular checkup and shots. I came to find out i didn't have my usual vet i was with someone new and not informed about it. i didn't think much of it until now. This new inexperienced experience with my dog. This was my first time bringing a pet to a vet so i was nervous but they took the time to explain everything and even showed me my cats issue in some textbooks with greater detail. Very reasonable rates for a visit and medication and a great experience overall. Will be returning in the future for sure.

I have dealt with vets for 20 yrs I had to pay them while I was spending a few minutes with my beloved dog before I had him put to sleep they actually put the visa machine in my hand.. I'm so happy we found this place years ago! They have a very caring staff, and they pay close attention to the needs of their patients/clients. We have never had any complaints. They try to keep the cost reasonable while taking excellent care of our pet. We've been with them over a lot of years with more than one dog and have always had confidence that our beloved pets were in good hands. I highly recommend them.
