I wanted to thank the vet team for their compassion and the love they showed my husband and I the morning we brought our sick Rottie in. I wished we had met the team that works at Abbeydale under happier circumstances but we met under the worst possible circumstances and my 11 year old Rottweiler was at the last of her life that morning. We were devastated but we knew it was time and we didn"t want her to suffer any further. I loved my dog and she was my support .my protect...or and my best friend for 11 years. My husband and I would like to thank Abbeydale for the card I received in the mail and for the help and the compassion your team showed us on that agonizing morning. Once the hurt has subsided and the longing for a new best friend begins I just want to let the Abbeydale staff know we will bring a new puppy in so to offset all the hurt with smile and joy for a new puppy life beginning. We have been going here since jack was born. Dr story has always made time for him when he has a issue. He always takes the time to talk to us and make sure we understand the dogs medical issues. Abbeydale Animal Hospital was both professional in their speed and attentiveness as well as friendly and comforting to myself and my pet. Everyone was smiling and checked to make sure I'd been seen and had what I needed, while acknowledging my cat without being silly or making me uncomfortable with their attention. Great service; friendly staff. They do a great job following up with you, even when you end up having to take your pet to the emergency vet in London after-hours. They are compassionate to your pet as they do vaccinations in a separate room from the check-up room to avoid negative associations with regular visits. Most ppl there are nice, but I saw them drag my dog to the back by the neck.. the dog clearly was scared to death and she just continued to drag her! If a dog owner were to be seen on the street doing this, the dog would have been taken away! Plus they charge you too much money, I had a health plan for my dog (that basically covers stupid little things anyways, nothing major) and when I wanted to upgrade the plan, they told me they would retro charge me the difference in plan fees!!! what a joke! The only considerate person there is the actual vet, which you rarely see.... They keep trying to sell you expensive food too... i found a different vet. Read Less

The Dr.'s and staff are fabulous at Abbeydale! Our 15 yr old dog, family member, furbaby, Gilligan was diagnosed with cancer at the end of May. We came home with him and did the best we could for him until Aug 7, 2015. I frantically called just before 5 p.m. in hopes someone was there. They were and asked us to bring him in as he needed the Dr. They were so kind and understanding even though we imposed ourselves on them with our precious boy.
