In 2016 I brought my cat to their facility. I was later transferred south (for my job). I was offered a permanent position and tried to sell my house here. The deal fell through. I returned in 2019. Shortly after the Covid I called to make an appointment. I was told they were not seeing anyone because of lockdown. I was asked repeatedly to call back, which I did with no relief. When their facility opened I was told they were busy and would try to squeeze me in. When I called back, I was told that the vet was on vacation and they would call me back after her return. No one returned my call. Today I call and was told to call the emergency services after 5:00. When I asked why I could not book an appointment they said because it has been too long since they last saw my cat????? Yet on their website it states that they are taking on new clients! Meanwhile I have been waiting and waiting for a return call and my cat may be suffering needlessly???? No excuse! She is my only family here. Very disappointed.

Brought my pup for spade and vaccinations last year. Really disappointed in the way the billing and customer service was handled. Upon picking up my girl, I was charged the fee that was mentioned to me when I dropped her off. I was then asked “would you like a shirt for her?”. There was no mention of a charge for the shirt, but I later learned it was around $50. The shirt was ineffective and had someone told me the cost of it, I would not have taken it.
Not only this, but they made a mistake with billing and left out over $100 worth of charges for vaccinations. I was billed for this in the mail. Nobody phoned me to let me know, and it was noted as a “mistake” on the bottom of the page. This was also when I found out the charge for the shirt.
Disappointed with the level of professionalism, especially when I have brought all three of my pets to this vet. Probably won’t happen again.
*Edit*. I just called in on March 26th, 2021 to unfortunately have my senior cat euthanized. Only to find out, that Ableson has closed my client file after years of bringing my animals to them. The reason being the previous two-star review that I put in about an error on their side. It’s always disappointing to realize the extend of unprofessionalism. Do not take your animals to this place, they have no compassion or willingness to take responsibility for their own mistakes.

I had to take my dog in to be put to rest in Sept 2016. The staff at Ablesons were extremely compassionate and professional. They handled everything for us with the utmost of caring and dignity. They even sent us a condolence card and when we picked up our dog the next day to bring her to camp and bury her, the staff once again expressed their sorrow and even gave us a hug. Where do you find that anymore. This was the first time they had treated my dog for anything yet the compassion was there when we needed it.If We are ever blessed again to own another dog... I will definitely use Ableson's as my vet.ps. The vet that took care of my dog for 13 years did not even call or send a card

Also made me spend more money than necessary.
Told me my dog had an infection because he had greenish discharge. I bought everything needed to take care of it $400. But it didn't clear up so I made another appointment the following week. At this appointment they tell me that it's normal for a male to have greenish discharge especially if he's not neutered. Another $100+.
Also other issues of staff being rude have occurred but not going to blow up the review page with an enormous list. At the beginning they were quite nice but after a few visits with my two dogs thry became very rude.
I would NOT recommend going here.
I previously have recommend this place but after so many bad experiences here I never plan on returning to Ableson Veterinary Service on Trunk Road.
In addition- they refused to take my boyfriends status card when he went in with one of our dogs.

The doctors and staff are very caring and very good at their job looking after our animals my dog went in very sick they took her in right away and with in a few hours she was released with medication and food what she needed to get back on her feet within a few days she was on her way to recovering. I can not thank the doctors and staff enough for the caring loving treatment they gave my dog I was a wreck bringing her in when I picked her up what a wonderful feeling these doctors and staff made me and my dog feel very happy and blessed they are MY VET excellent work thank you from our hearts.

In 2016 I brought my cat to their facility. I was later transferred south (for my job). I was offered a permanent position and tried to sell my house here. The deal fell through. I returned in 2019. The doctors and staff are very caring and very good at their job looking after our animals my dog went in very sick they took her in right away and with in a few hours she was released with medication and food what she needed to get back on her feet within a few days she was on her way to recovering. I can not thank the doctors and staff enough for the caring loving treatment they gave my dog I was a wreck bringing her in when I picked her up what a wonderful feeling these doctors and staff made me and my dog feel very happy and blessed they are MY VET excellent work thank you from our hearts.

Dr. Shaw was amazing with my reptile, absolutely amazing! After being turned down from Dr Craig, Ablesons took us in with open arms! Amazing and so caring!
