Owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Dr. Gary Palmer and Dr. Robin Lewis-Palmer since 1992, our goal is to provide personalized, consistent, high quality preventive, medical and surgical care for your pets. We confidently combine years of clinical experience with state of the art technologies and the latest advances in veterinary medicine to meet all of your pets’ health care needs.

Just moved to the area a short while ago and have brought our dog utah to be a patient. Dr. Palmer is extremely gentle with our dog and utah doesnt get nearly as stressed as any other vet he’s been to. Hats off to this place and they also don’t try to upsell you at every corner which is nice just focus on the well being of your animal. 🙌

Doctor Palmer is an incredible human being. He fit us in, without a scheduled appointment because our Frenchie frequired immediate medical attention. He was easy to talk to and was able to take exceptional care of our pup. It's doctors and staff like that, that make the tough times less stressful. We couldn't thank you enough.

We had our first experience with Dr. Palmer when we took our 11 week old duck toller to him on an emergency call. He was so fantastic with Lando and called us first thing the next morning to see how our puppy was doing. At this time they were not our regular vet, but that didn't matter. After this we went to our then current vet for his 12 weeks shots and had such a terrible experience that we immediately switched to Dr. Palmer. The assistant working was fantastic and when we went in for our 16 week shots we had the best experience. They took the time to answer all questions and cared so much for our puppy that he didn't even realize he got shots! This clinc is amazing and cares for every animal that comes in. Thank you so much for everything that you do!

Our animals are treated as we would treat them. From routine care to complex surgery to end of life care we have always been 100% satisfied.

Very compassionate and professional veterinary care at the Sault Ste. Marie Animal Clinic. Extremely quick access to services. Clean and up-to-date facility.
I was afraid my newly adopted kitten Lyla was going to be hyper and terrified of the vet's clinic, but she certainly loves showing off for the veterinary staff -- especially Dr. Palmer. She can be quite the adventurous little acrobat, climbing counters and such, and I am very appreciative that Dr. Palmer just laughs and assures me "it's normal kitten behaviour."

Our girls are regular patients of Dr. Palmers. When one of them got so sick that we had to make the hardest decision of our lives. Dr. Palmer and his staff were there to help us through the tough time. They made sure that we were in the office by ourselves with our dog. They had the room all set up when we got there. She had her favourite blanket and pillow. Dr. Palmer gave us all the time that we needed and we even brought our other girl in with us so she could say goodbye to her sister. I would not take my pets to any other vet. Dr. Palmer and his staff are the best.

Dr. Palmer and his staff have been looking after my golden retrievers for 25 years now and I could not ask for better care. I began going to them when my first dog got hit by a car. She was very seriously injured and even though they were not our vets at the time, they immediately took her in and saved her life! I have been going there ever since! They continue to take amazing care of my current dog and I continue to be happy with their service. I was especially appreciative of Dr. Palmer's compassion when we have had to say a permanent goodbye to our beloved dogs. Cashew, Pecan, Hazel & Almond thank you from the bottom of their hearts!!

Dr. Palmer and his staff have treated "our boy" Montgomery with the utmost care. He doesn't enjoy his trips to the clinic for his yearly check up only because he is an indoor cat and hates the car!! Dr. Palmer's recommendations on food, feeding times/quantity etc... have been appreciated and Montgomery is losing weight and getting back to his old self again. When we call with questions the clinic staff are very friendly and if they can't answer our questions at the time they do get back to us after consulting with Dr. Palmer. We would and have recommended Dr. Palmer and the Sault Ste. Marie Animal Clinic to all our friends and family.

I wouldn't trust my 4 legged family to anyone else! Dr. Palmer treats my dogs with the utmost care and kindness and takes his time explaining everything to us while we are there. I've gone in for emergency visits and Kelly always got us in right away.
Recently we've taken one of our dogs that went elsewhere and within 3 weeks of treatment he's better than he's been in years.

Dr. Palmer saw our darling Ella for an emergency after hours on call visit. He called me quickly after being paged and met us at his clinic within 40 mins. His care was top notch and he explained everything including pricing along the way. Even after Ella was discharged he returned our calls promptly to answer any questions or concerns. We are so pleased with our experience and Ella is also very grateful!!

Dr. Palmer is extremely gentle with our dog and utah doesnt get nearly as stressed as any other vet he’s been to. Hats off to this place and they also don’t try to upsell you at every corner which is nice just focus on the well being of your animal. 🙌

We had our first experience with Dr. Palmer when we took our 11 week old duck toller to him on an emergency call. He was so fantastic with Lando and called us first thing the next morning to see how our puppy was doing. At this time they were not our regular vet, but that didn't matter. Dr. Palmer and his staff have been looking after my golden retrievers for 25 years now and I could not ask for better care. I began going to them when my first dog got hit by a car. I wouldn't trust my 4 legged family to anyone else! Dr. Palmer treats my dogs with the utmost care and kindness and takes his time explaining everything to us while we are there. I've gone in for emergency visits and Kelly always got us in right away.
