I have 2 cats and a diabetic dog that is under the care of Dr. Goldstein and I have had excellent care for all my animals. The vet here is very thorough and very willing to work with a picky client like me in choosing what type of care to give my dog. Ive been bringing my puppy here since July 2017, when I got him at 8 weeks. I picked this animal hospital because it's extremely close to where I live. The reviews on Google were relatively good, so I took a chance and came here with my puppy. I can happily say, it was a great decision to come here! Due to several illnesses and lots of unknown digestive issues, we were at this animal hospital very often to say the least. Sometimes several times a week, once a week or every other. And usually a couple phone calls during the week. Huge appreciation for Dr. Goldstein and his team. I've confidently learned that Dr. Goldstein knows his stuff, has the right resources, genuinely cares for what he does and has a true passion for animals. He is excellent at advice for new dog owners - he's not pushy and has a positive attitude - always smiling. He's voluntarily called to check up on my puppy, which was impressive and a nice surprise. Prices are reasonable for a Vet - what I would expect to pay or a little less in some cases. I cannot say enough great things about the services i have experienced here and the care that has been provided. I highly recommend! Plenty of parking available. Debit, credit accepted. Dr ROBIN is an amazing doctor. I moved to Scarborough not too long ago and I was really worried to find a new vet for my old cat especially since I am new to the area. He is really good at what he does and very honest. It's obvious he is caring and not to mention very reasonable. I went here not too long ago. But even from when my dog was just months old the Dr was very gentle, caring and has an excellent way of effectively communicating with the pet owners. Had our first visit today. Staff was great, very calm and explained everything very plainly. Dropped my cat off at 10am, he was operated on within a couple hours and clear to come home by 4 at a very fair price. I've been bringing all my cats here their whole lives and I wouldn't want to take them anywhere else. Dr. Goldstein is kind, knowledgeable, experienced and generous with his time. His staff are wonderful too. They all know their stuff and they really care, and you don't always get the latter. They just love animals. Since I started cat rescue, I've brought a few fosters cats and some cats right off the street to them. Sometimes, when they weren't too busy, they didn't even charge for the quick exam for the rescues. Everyone is patient and happy to explain everything to you and answer questions. They really listen. I always feel reassured and confident that I know what's going on and that my fur babies are in safe hands. I've been using them since 2005, when I moved to Scarborough. I recently moved to Port Hope and shortly thereafter my 13.5 year old Mal/Lab cross had reached the end of his full and wonderful life. My wife and I have been fans of the Markham Road Animal Hospital well before Facebook. We now live in the west end of Toronto and travel over 30 km to have our pets cared for. I brought my cat in after he was sick all weekend. I called on Monday morning and was able to get him in that afternoon. Also a bonus that they're open until 7pm. Dr. Cowan and the technician were great with my cat. (I've been to vets before that didn't have or like cats) He let me know how much everything when he suggested it which was nice that there were no surprises. He was very genuine and didn't suggest any extra treatments. Vets are expensive, in general, I didn't find this hospital any more or less expensive that other vets I've been to. The Markham Road Animal Hospital has the best friendly service, the most knowledgeable staff and all at a very reasonable price. Dr. Goldstein, Dr.Cowan and the great team members have been fantastic over the many years for my 2 dogs (Male German Shep Mix and Female Small Husky) and kitty-cat (Female Tabby). The care and follow-up phone calls are wonderful and certainly make you feel reassured & comfortable (and even when you call post op, for whatever reason, you never feel that they are too busy for your concerns). I've brought my pets in for regular checks-ups, spaying and neutering, to emergency care (that could have potentially been very stressful had I gone somewhere else... I've had expensive, bad experiences with other clinics in the past, as many pet owners have). The Markham Road Animal Clinic staff are honest people, who truly go above and beyond to ensure your pet's recovery and care.
