Always welcoming and friendly! Bailey and I have always been able to rely on the vets and staff for exceptional care, support and guidance. In the 13 years as our primary care provider, vets and staff have cried with us, laughed with us, and almost always fit us in (same day) in an urgent situation. Bailey is always super anxious at the vet but seems to fare well, probably because every person I've met here seems to adore animals and work really well with them. Also the ONLY place Bailey will allow nail care. Never had any concern and always felt well taken care of in a timely and empathetic manner. Stay away from this place. Three things ... 1.) The first warning should be the high turnover rate with staff!! It used to be a great place until all of the staff started leaving. Why do the vets keep leaving? This place is going downhill. 2.) My parents brought in their cat for vaccines, mentioned to the vet (who was new) that she had been vomiting. The vet still went ahead and vaccinated the cat. The cat started to rapidly decline after the vaccines and within 2 months the... cat was dead. I’m not a veterinarian but I know enough that you are NOT suppose to vaccinate a sick cat. Vaccinating a cat who is sick puts stress on the immune system. This vet clinic was negligent and I advise you to stay away. Please DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PETS CARE. 3.) The lady at the front desk (one of the rare ones who has been there a long time) verbally berated my parents in the waiting room while discussing care for one of their other cats. I’m appalled at the way she treated them. Someone in her position needs to have compassion, restraint and kindness even at the most difficult of times and she failed at this miserably. Shame on her. I recommended my parents to this clinic after having a couple great experiences with one of the vets who has since left. I brought my dog in to be assessed as he is getting older and a bit slower. I was very impressed with his care. The veterinarian took her time and thoroughly examined him. We put him on some food for older dogs and also some daily supplements. They suggested that we send out some blood to the lab and I am happy I did. He has early kidney disease and I am able to help this because they saw it early. That is great! Duke is so important to us and we want to keep him in our family for a long time! Read Less

The staff are amazing here! So polite and nice! The price of the food I order for my dog is a better price than where I have always gone before so I've switched and now come here. If I forget to ask them to reorder, they always remember to call me and ask if I'd like them to order it. I have only been here once so far as I had a little worry regarding my pup's temperature.. Everyone in the facility was very nice and helpful. They did not push me seeing the Dr. and Nancy, who checked over my dog did her best to reassure me he was fine. Today I received a follow up phone call which was completely unexpected. They clearly care for our pets well being here.. it's making me consider making them my home vet. Read Less

This vet clinic is very good at encouraging you to enrol in the annual optimum care plan which costs $ 776.71 (including a non refundable enrolment fee and taxes) for a puppy..mine already had his first shots and deworming at the breeder's vet and McLean clinic did not discount this from their plan. My puppy only had initial vet visit at McLean for a vet check and fecal test the day after I got him from the breeder then visits for 2nd and 3rd puppy vaccines and a couple of dewormings and nail clipping twice and I got charged $484.65 when I cancelled the plan. Unbelievable!! You get charged full price for all services and the enrolment fee is not refunded when you cancel the plan. I asked for itemized charges to explain the $484.65 charges and apparently I have to wait for a week for that info!! Very disappointed! I would definitely not recommend this clinic. Read Less

My dog was taken to this clinic when he suffered an injury while he was at a boarding facility. My dog needed surgery to repair a pretty bad laceration. I was originally told that he would ready to go home around 4 or 4:30 (surgery was around 1:30 pm) after they made sure he recovered from the sedation and could handle eating. They called me at 2:30 pm and said he was ready to go home. When I picked him up he was still suffering effects of the sedation, could not walk properly and fell multiple times. I expressed concerns about this and they said he was crying in the crate so that is why they were sending him home. Frankly I do not think that an animal should be sent home while still suffering suchbstrong effects of the sedation. I know I am not a regular client of this clinic but I feel a greater level of care for my animal's well being should have been shown. They expect me to bring him back in 10 days for a recheck and to have the stitches removed.......no thanks I will go to my regular vet. Read Less

Love this place. Took my new fur baby for his 16 week visit and I will never go anywhere else. Dr Ana and the staff were so kind to Geordi and to me, a nervous mom. They have monthly plans that cover all your pets regular health check up, vaccines and even spay/nutuer. One monthly fee covers everything and eases the cost of pet ownership! Read Less

I have switched vets 3x within the 7 years of being a pet parent. My dogs used to fight me when walking into the vet but when we go to Mclean Animal Hospital they walk in, sit and are calm. As corny as it sounds, when I found Mclean Animal Hospital I just knew it was the right place. The best part of it all is all the members of their staff are so genuinely caring. They take the time to understand your pets needs and to fully explain things to us, pet parents. I wish I found this place first so I wouldn't have had to switch so many times. I would highly recommend anyone searching for a vet to go to Mclean Animal Hospital!!! As a person that relies on reviews when picking a place - this is my genuine review. I LOVE this animal hospital!! I recommend it 100%!! The vets are amazing, their vet techs are amazing! Everyone who works there is amazing and so understanding. It's fast and easy to make an appointment or move it to a different time! They have an amazing insurance plan available and it is SO WORTH IT!!! I have saved so much money through the plan(which covers most vaccine and visits). I moved to Mississauga and I refuse to change vets because I love this one!! We are new to the neighbourhood, did a fair bit of research before visiting MacLean Animal Hospital for the first time. Out two kitties are seniors, with rather unique, complicated health issues. The kind, knowledgeable care provided by all staff at this clinic, from our initial visit through numerous follow-up telephone calls to inquire about treatment results, as well as time spent with the vet techs for routine blood and diagnostic testing, have convinced us we have made the best choice. The ataff at the front desk provide a warm welcome and expert processing of food requests, payment, etc. When visiting our previous clinic, our kitties needed to be poured out of their carriers...when we visited yesterday, Juliet willingly came out on her own and remained calm throughout the examination. Thinking that our pets agree with our assessment....that is the best!!! Read Less

I brought my puppy here this afternoon for his first shots. He's a nervous boy and a little skittish of people. The staff couldn't have been more fabulous! They took extra time to let him warm up to them and the doctor herself was incredible - I don't even think he felt the shot! We will be bringing all of our dogs here from now on! I just moved to the area and I took my dog to get an exam with Dr. Cutler. The staff was very welcoming and courteous. They had already phoned his previous vet and obtained his records by the time we had arrived. Nancy, the nurse, brought us in. She was very gentle with my dog and he felt at ease in no time. We saw Dr. Cutler and she was excellent. She listened to all of my concerns and answered each one of my questions. She did mention his dental health but she did not corner me into booking an expensive dental procedure right off the bat, like other vets we have seen. I understand he may need it, but Dr. Cutler recommended some products first, without pressuring me. Wouldn't you know, he loves the food she recommended, so we will be returning to pick up a supply!
