I have been taking my pets to Dr. Wong-Pack at Scarborough Animal hospital for over a decade. I am always pleased with the level of care & professionalism. This vet takes his time & provides helpful recommendations. I also like the fact that he is not too quick to recommend surgery, procedures or medications that may be unnecessary. Read Less

I have known Dr. Robert Wong Pak for over 30 yrs. He is a superb, careful and considerate vet.He is much more interested in WHY your pet is unwell as opposed to some vets who cannot wait to prescribe expensive tests, drugs or "special" foods. He takes as long as is needed todetermine the problem before making recommendations. I have never had a cause for complaint. Read Less

I placed a call to the Scarborough Animal Hospital to get some information regarding putting my cat down, who had been ill for quite some time.  Expecting to get helpful, compassionate advice, I proceeded to explain the situation only to have the individual pass judgement.  Since I was not a client of theirs, this person decided it would be a good idea to tell me - without knowing anything more than what I had said moments prior - our cat wasn't "old, he's middle aged", that we shouldn't own pets if we weren't willing to pay for the treatment, that the vet wouldn't perform the procedure but she would give me the quote anyway, and to top it off - we should drop him off at the Humane Society and have them assume ownership.I was stunned.  The phone call ended with me in tears.  Coming to the decision to have our pet put down was difficult enough, the last thing anyone needs is to have someone lecture them without all of the facts.Needless to say I would never go to this Animal Hospital, nor will I ever recommend anyone to take their pets there.  Unless, of course they enjoy being judged and having some condescending stranger speak to them. I've been a client of this clinic for over 30 years and have been very happy with the service provided for my pets. The only reason I switched to another clinic, is the fact that my pets became very ill and needed a lot of hospitalization where there were doctors available, watching the animals even at nighttime.  Unfortunately, this clinic didn't offer this service but that is typical of most clinics that don't have an emergency service. The doctors are wonderful, the staff are the best and I have no qualms about giving this clinic praise.  The one star rating missing is only because it doesn't have the overnight doctor attending.
