We contacted Stittsville Small Animal Clinc and we're able to make an appointment the same day. The staff and doctor were so accommodating, very friendly and professional. Our Labrador retriever was well taken of and it was obvious they were really caring. Our regular veterinary clinic had a two week waiting period which was not acceptable. We are now clients of this clinic and very happy we made the decision to change. Thank you for the excellent service. Read Less

Friendly, but always pushing procedures, vet looked at my cats teeth for less than a half second and somehow determined that she had stage 3 out of 4 gingivitis and gum redness. We did not go ahead with the 1500$ cleaning and possible extractions. We have since seen in her mouth and there is no way she is past a stage 1 or 2 on the scale, and this is a couple of years later, she is still happy and eating. Be careful when the vet gives you the ‘cats don’t show pain’ spiel . They may not show pain but you know your animal. Will try somewhere else. Read Less

We have brought our dog in because he has been vomiting and having diarrhea for a few days along with lethargy. Our dog walker told us he ate some deer poop in the dog park, so we thought it could be the reason that he got sick. Our dog is on a special diet (raw diet), and from the moment that was mentioned it became the sole focus of the visit, almost made out that we are irresponsible owners. We were told to get poop samples which would have cost us 200$ and were told won’t even prove anything, and then that it was a food allergy. They were so focused on the fact our dog eats raw food (which he has done for years now) that they didn’t even consider a stomach infection, it was mentioned but passed over because “most likely it’s the food”. Our boy came home and threw up twice that night, we decided we need a second opinion. We were heading to Montreal for the weekend and nearly cancelled our plans until we found that the vet we used to use was open on Good Friday, so we drove to Montreal and got a proper diagnosis and antibiotics for our poor pup and he was almost right as rain the next day. The vet in Montréal didn’t even ask about food or diet! He immediately realized that poop carries all sorts of nasties. It’s no secret that the veterinary practice does not support raw diets but they are so blinded by their prejudice that they ignored what the actual problem was. We didn’t appreciate the service, our dog didn’t even get treatment and we paid $100 for nothing. Read Less

Horrible- they are more concerned about protecting their staffs' relatives than the treatment of animals. They refuse to give me my dogs medical records because my ex who was convicted of assaulting me sometimes brought my dog there for his apppintments. He happens to be related to the receptionist. There are much better hospitals in ottawa and the surrounding area. And it's changed owners 3 times in the last 5 years or so - so that's says a lot about the reputation. Read Less

WARNING !!!!!!!! - We have been taking our dog to this Clinic for many years. My wife recently brought our dog for some regular procedures and The Doctor, was more concerned with UP SELLING, then performing the procedures we had made the appointment for. My wife was so put off from the HIGH PRESSURE SALES APPROACH, she called me crying on the phone. The Clinic ended up not performing all of the procedures we had booked the dog in for. To be fair to the Dr., I called back and asked to have the Dr. return my call, so I could get to the bottom of the issue, to my surprise, I got the same HIGH PRESSURE $ALE$ PITCH. The Dr. did apologize for missing the procedure, and offered to do the procedure at no charge. I asked the Dr. to walk me through everything, she jumped right back into the SALES PITCH. We have since taken our dog to the another local clinic, who performed to original procedure we had booked in for. LADY, you should have been a USED CAR SALESMAN. My advice to you..... Start listening to your customers.......Stop SELLING. Read Less
