Do not take your reptile here! Their vet claimed to be a reptile expert yet gave me care information I knew to be incorrect. My lizard was making noises which I thought was a respiratory infection but turned out to be normal behavior. Either the vet knew it was normal and didn't say anything, or he wasn't as expert as he said he was. The vet sold me expensive medicine and nutritional supplements for no reason. I really felt like this place was just trying to make a sale without any proof my animal was sick. Read Less

I have been bringing my Bichapoo here for about a year after subpar service elsewhere. I finally convinced my mom to leave the same vet and bring her 12-year old Shih Tzu who is in need of some serious dentistry. We are both impressed with the thorough service and empathy of the staff. The staff is small but almost has a family feel. I've never felt pressured into services or products and they've always been super informative and patient with my many questions :-) They were even upfront about the dentistry not being as cheap as other places but, seeing the passion and caring of both vets, I trust that my mom's dog will receive the same quality care I've experienced for mine. I called Fruitland Veterinary Hospital after being told that they were the only vet in my area that would work with people who had low incomes. And my dog was in serious need of help. I wish I had never gone there. The vet has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. After I was told my dog's surgery would cost almost $900 (discount included) and they would not work with me on a payment plan (we offered them $400 up front), I began to cry and become frustrated. The vet then told me it was my own fault for not getting my dog fixed and gave major attitude. He was just being a plain jerk and adding insult to injury when he should have been more tactful. He gave me antibiotics for my dog and told me if I could come up with the money to bring her back. We ended up finding out the SPCA could do it for $300. He was also supposed to give us 14 days of antibiotics for my dog but instead gave us 10. We then had to call and ask for more. Later that day, the vet then proceeded to call me back. He asked how my dog was doing and said he had heard I was taking her to the SPCA for the surgery. He then began to use scare tactics telling me my dog was not eating because it had moved into her stomach and that I had to bring her into them right away. That the SPCA had no idea what they were doing. He then stated that he was telling me all of this so that I was prepared when I lose her. You cannot bleed blood from a stone. Long story short, they just care about the money, not your pet. The vet is rude, greedy and very unprofessional. Read Less

We recently brought our 15 year old sweet cat Chloe who was starting to struggle and began to show her age. The clinic worked hard at assessing and treating Chloe's needs while being honest and forthcoming in her condition. After almost a week and no improvements our family made the hardest decision to say goodbye to her. The staff were so empathetic and allowed us to all be with her to the very end without making us feel rushed but understood how difficult this was for all of us. In many years of Vet clinics and always feeling like they wanted your money, we never felt this was with Fruitland Veterinary Hospital. Took my dog with a watery eye. After $245 and outrageous priced medications still not healed three weeks later. I did  a week later follow up and the vet said it was looking good. I went and got another opinion somewhere else and found a place way less cost, and the vet took time to explain better what was going on. This place is okay but I will go to the other place as I like to pay less and have a doggy doctor that explains better to me and tells me prices up front before services are done. One vet here did tell me but the other time I went in the vet did not tell me and I was shocked with the bill. I would go somewhere else just because there are lots of vets in the area and pricing is much better at other clinics. Read Less

We met Dr. Gilbert at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic. He was very rude to us, continually asking us not to interrupt him or ask questions. He didn't seem to know what he was doing and was very panicky. We had no confidence that he knew what he was doing. His bedside manor made us extremely upset and worried. He had to call Poison Control to receive instructions on how to care for our cats and delayed their care by a significant amount of time. After he received instructions on the course of action he still refused to begin immediate treatment. We left without allowing him to treat our animals as we lost any confidence in him. We ended up having to take our cats to another vet clinic where they received prompt care. Read Less

My cat had an eye infection and they prescribed the proper treatment for her and not only that they called a few days later to see how she was doing. That's above and beyond what they should do. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone with pets. 5 stars for sure Read Less

Read Less

He saw our senior cat who had breathing problems on a Tuesday night when our own vet that we had been going to for over 10 years told us to just go to Emergency because they were too busy. Dr. Apollo and his associate (can’t remember his name) are amazing! They are attentive and caring, even when my cats are being jerks. Dr. Apollo helped figure out what was wrong with my cat after she started losing weight and refused to eat (dentistry) and helped me find the right food for her sensitive digestive system.

The staff were very loving to Chloe and treated her as if she was their own. Read Less

Read Less
