I went in there with my dog who developed anemia they said no other options but to take him to Oakville emergency. 5 days and 6000$ later we got him home for 2 days and he got worse so I took him back to the pet vet to check his blood count and it dropped so my options were to go back to Oakville at $1000/day or he has to be put down. So we took him home for the day and he got worse so at 630 pm we went back and a different lady looked at him without his file or Any info and said he has to be put down now. I was so out of my mind I never realized till after that she did not even touch him or pull a file she just wanted to put him down and get her 250$ so she could go home. This happened 2 weeks ago and I’ll never forgive my self for what happened. All they want is money 89$ for a blood count it’s 25$ anywhere else. I’m giving everybody a heads up Do NOT TAKE YOUR FURRY FELLOWS HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT 7000$ and one week my dog was dead at 8 years old. Wait time was a little excessive but overall great staff who took amazing care of my cat. They really care about every animal that comes in. I truly appreciated that the vet gave me many options and steps to take to identify what was wrong with my cat Charlie and I'm pleased to say that the problem has greatly improved and really appreciated that she followed up personally on how the medication was working. Customers for 8yrs. 2018 Turned Away at the Door! Switching Vets due to Lack of Compassion...( Unacceptable visit the other day. Needed a Refill on Ear Drops for our dog Max. Small Infection starting, Red and Totally irritating my dogs ear. Was Not told until I got there about the New $96 Consultation fee (previously Pet Vet would honor 1 free visit a year), or at the least Refill a previous ear drop script for loyal customers. So after some whispering at the front after I asked about what happened to the free visit for 2018? Was not given an answer on what happened to our free Visit. Was simply told I would have to see the vet for the $96 first, then they would also have to run some tests, then the doctor would be able to Refill, Yes Refill a basic Antibiotic Ear drop he has already had before...... This Vet is All About $Money$ up front without caring for your animals. My dog is now better 3 days later. We cleaned the ear ourselves, applied Polysporin Antibiotic cream. Unfortunate We weren't told prior to bringing in our boy that Pet Vet won't see you unless they gouge you first. Unbelievable after 8 yrs. To he treated and turned away, By a Very Customer Friendly staff member in the front I do have to say. She was trying, And I understand the Vets/Doctors in the Back whom she Consulted with Told her No when she went to ask. shame on the Vets Here! Shame on the Doctors who should be looking out for our pets well-being. Not just who they can take with this new $96 to get your dog oast the reception area. Or even weighed now that I think about it. You guys always weigh Max, Except this trip? Was that also because I refused to pay the $96 to move to staging area 2? This place is overpriced. The only reason I continue to get my get services here is because I have been 29th Dr.Humble for years. Before the rebuild the prices were a lot more accommodating to those with lower income. This place is now overpriced and overcrowded.Read Less

Quiet and soothing environment, sophisticated staffs, easy and fast access to a vet most of the time you can just walk in without an appointment. As an elective service, the fees can be slightly expensive. Read Less

I have been taking my dog here since she was just a wee little pup, the staff here are excellent. They take excellent care of their patients and I have never had a problem here, I've gone to several other vets for emergency situations while this vet was closed and I was never as satisfied as I am with VCA Canada Eastside Hospital. Good service. For small things they are fine, have a nice facility. However they can be on the pricier side for things other than shots, flea treatments. I went in for a common uti and ended up paying over $1700 for all the work needed, including xray, ultrasound. They were extremely pushy in doing the same tests over and over again. After I decided to do a urine test again, they said I needed to do another special urine test for protein. Read Less

Very bad! Staff can handle small animals ( maybe) but not big "Alfa" dogs (vets are scared of them). Took my dog for annual check-up, just to have nothing done to him. Still had to pay the bill, but my dog did not receive any examination. On top of everything front desk staff is very rude, and temperamental. Read Less

Took my cat here from when she was a kitten and for a few years after that (Due to me moving often I had a few vets). Although the 1st time she did have fleas, after that she was still itchy and we were wondering what it could be . They gave us flea medication for years without even checking if she had fleas. I eventually met my amazing vet who said, "let me check it may not be fleas." And guess what!? It never was. She had an allergy. Also, they are very pricey. Read Less
