I wouldn't usually post but feel people should be warned how your business operates- this place deserves 0 for stars On Wednesday march 14/2018 I got home from work at approx. 6:30pm to find my 4 year old cat mini in total pain with a fluid leaking from her . Now because I live in sturgeon falls I immediately called the Springer hospital . I then reached the call center because of after hours and was advised The vet would call me back with in 10 minutes- now in these 10 minutes the fluid started leaking worst I went through 3 towels and at this point my cats breathing was starting to slow down and she wasn't moving so I started to prepare for the drive to the office because I knew whatever was going on was killing her ......then finally my phone rang and after explaining everything that was happening to the Vet I was expecting to be told to immediately bring her in . I was choked and shocked by this vets response and it did not go this way at all . after answering the questions she asked about mini I then informed her she previously got vaccinated at a north bay Vets office . Now that CHANGED everything - I was told that because mini wasn't her patient she was REFUSING to see her . To me this is FLAT OUT UNACCEPTABLE . it should not matter where the animals vet is located or whom worked on the animal last if there is an emergency its an EMERGENCY and the closest vet should be the option a person should be able to call the office and then able to bring the pet in and it should be treated on how severe the emergency is .............. so I had no choice but to call around more I finally got ahold of the north bay office 30 mins later and had to RACE and I mean RACE to get my poor sweet little cat to that office which was 40 minutes away where she immediately had to go in for surgery . I was told 5 mins more her uterus would of ruptured inside of her . she basically died in my arms on the drive up aswell . it was a nightmare all together Your office basically shoved me to the side and LACKS serious Compassion towards people and animals. and also has false advertisement you should include " refusing animals after hours that are not your patient's - on THE phones answering machine so people don't waste time to find out you wont see the pet . .. TO BE CLEAR AS A perfect example people that travel with pets an accident can happen at ANYTIME how is person expected to get the animal back home to see the animals specific vet??? you should include the way you work on your answering system. I will be posting this on EVERY PUBLIC PAGE FACE BOOK , KIjiji , buy and sell groups I will do everything in power to get this out in the open so people are fully made aware of you guys operate and so no one ever has to go through what I did. my cat is not alive thanks to your office and would be dead if I hadn't had a car to have been able to drive her to the next city . If possible I would give a zero star rating. My dog was hit by a car. Called the only 24hr I was aware of, which was Blue Sky in North Bay, was advised that my dog would be fine to see a vet in the am. At this time our dog was not showing any signs he had been in an accident. He was behaving absolutely normal, just abrasions. When we woke up the next morning, he suddenly was not able to walk. So I called the nearest vet, Springer's. Now we almost never take our animals to the vet, except for needles. I do not do yearly check ups, because we are on a budget. Since our dog had not received his needles from Springer, Jennifer who answered the phone advised me that they did have emergency appointments and they did have room but only for their regular patients. Even when I questioned their compassion, she continued saying they needed to keep their emergency spots open for their "regularly paying patients". At one point she advised me that I could always bring my pets in for future yearly appointments if I did not want this situation to re occure. Needless to say I was able to get in with another vet, who is not my dogs regular vet. I may have had a long wait time but the staff was understanding that this was an accident and I was very concerned for my dog. He ended up having a hairline pelvic fracture and head trauma. The other vet was even kind enough to follow up over the weekend and 3 days after. Definetly will refommend the other vet to anyone!!! Even if i continue to go to my regular vet. Bottom line the staff at Springer Animal hospital lacks any compassion or caring. More concerned about getting you in for repeat visits then the well being of animals. Will never recommend this vet to anyone with pets. Read Less

Called to get my cat fixed and was told I had to get my INDOOR cat all his needles first before they would fix him. JUST A MONEY SCAM and I was not very impressed with the service as they were rude and just wanted to transfer my call instead of helping me, I would not recommend this place to anyone. To North Bay we go to Cassells way more reasonable, friendly, and affordable.! Read Less

The vets & staff are very knowledgeable, caring & sympathetic. We bring both our dogs here & would recommend them highly. They saved our Am. Bulldog, Rezza, after emergency surgery was needed. They stayed late & came early ... above & beyond. Read Less

I think Springer Animal Hospital is VERY expensive. I ordered a product from Springer and when they called they told me the price it was absolutely outrageous so I contacted North Bay and the same product was $100.00 cheaper. Even with the price of gas going both ways it is still cheaper in North Bay. I also think they overcharged me when I had my cat in for treatment. Very expensive place. Read Less

Made an appointment here because it was the closest to home. I was seen about a half hour after my scheduled appointment but I've never seen a vet clinic run on time so that was normal. Tech was great and gentle with my little guy, and so was the vet. I called because my barn cat had a typical case of ear mites and wanted meds for him so I think a $200 bill was a bit excessive. Overall, very professional employees and clean facility but not a fan of being up sold on tests and things when the problem is obvious. Read Less

Springer Animal Hospital is the only place I will bring any of my animals. Today, I drove 45 minutes farther then I needed to to have my 15 year old dog euthanized because i would rather deal with them then anyone else.Read Less

I have to say these people are amazing , caring, compasionate and understanding.. brought 3 dogs here , on whome unfortunately had to be put down for old age :( . and they were great at dealing with us ,, then brought my lab mix in for parvo and Dr Amy Gaw did an excellent job and was very helpful and understanding and saved my puppy :) , and recently brought in my older lab/massiff mix in whome had pyometra and Dr. Olivia Stone did a fantabulous job at explaining the procedures our fur baby would have to go through and she saved her also ... These people here are super awesome and they are a great team ..... I would recomment them to anyone !!!!!!!!!! :) Read Less
