I have had 3 cats that have seen Dr Bouchard. She is amazing. I’ve lived in different areas of GTA and gone to many different veterinarians in over 25 years.
Dr. Bouchard is by far the best vet I’ve ever gone to. Her love for our four legged friends is amazing. They are not just “customers” to her. She treats them as her own. She has such a gentle and kind manner that shines through.
When my cat was lost for 6 months and came back with a bite on her back that got infected I traipsed up to Summeridge Animal Clinic every few days to have her drain the infected lump until it went away. She was so great and my feral cat was always calmed by her presence.
Dr Bouchard is a vet who doesn’t push her agenda on you. She listens, provides recommendations but isn’t the typical vet who hard sells. As my cat was an indoor cat she didn’t push for her to get shots I didn’t feel she needed. She is also great at making sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.
March 2017 I took my cat Grace in to be out down. It was a hard decision but based on her behaviour it seemed the only thing to do. I didn’t want her to suffer. Dr Bouchard talked to me for some time and while we were talking all of a sudden Grace started walking around and being curious at everything. Dr Bouchard told me that in her experience Grace did not look like she needed to go. She was right. Grace somehow jumped into another cat life in front of our eyes.
I’m so very grateful that I went to Dr Bouchard instead of a vet 5 minutes away. Any other vet would have out Grace down. Somehow Grace became a renenewed cat in the appointment and I saw what Dr Bouchard saw. I had another happy 14 months with Grace. I’m so very very grateful.
I cannot say enough to thank her for helping me through one of the hardest things which is end of life of my beloved Grace. She walked us through every step and gave us time together. It’s always terribly sad to say goodbye but Dr Bouchard made it easier by her soft gentle manner.
If you have a four legged friend this is the vet to go to. You’ll be so very happy you did.
Thank you Dr Bouchard for everything you do that helps our four legged friends live a long happy good life with us. They are so very special and you always treat them that way🙏🏻

I brought my rabbit in a month ago because she had developed a white spot on the cornea of her right eye. I chose Summeridge Animal Clinic because their website stated that they take care of exotic pets like rabbits as well. Dr. Bouchard is a kind person and was very friendly and seemed to have knowledge about rabbits. After doing a check up on my rabbit, she told me the white spot on her eye was probably some sort of deposit, like a calcium deposit. She told me there is nothing to do since her eye looked “normal” and the lids had no redness. She did not perform any tests on her eye. At the moment, I was relieved to finally get some sort of answer for the white spot and paid a very high fee for her basic check up services (which I have gotten for much cheaper elsewhere). A few days passed and I could clearly see that her eye was not “normal”. There was definitely something wrong. I was very stressed, confused and worried about what to do to help my rabbit. This time I took her to an eye doctor. The eye doctor looked at her eye and immediately told me it was an ulcer and then performed a fluorescein eye stain test. Her white spot turned completely green from the stain, confirming that she had an eye infection and the white spot was in fact a very deep ulcer. It’s been over 2 weeks that I’ve been using prescribed eye drops on my rabbit’s infected eye, and not only is her eye looking healthy again, but her ulcer has significantly shrunk in size. If I had listened to Dr. Bouchard’s incorrect diagnosis, my rabbit would probably have lost her vision. I wasted my time and money for nothing. Although they are good people, it is clear they lack in any experience with exotic pets.

Dr Bouchard is professional and knowledgeable. We brought in our very sick hamster. She did a thorough check up and did not try to push any unnessary procedures/tests/medicine. She was very gentle with our tiny furry friend and we felt at ease with Humphrey in her care. She patiently answered all the questions my children and I had. Unfortunately, Humphrey passed a day later but we were prepared for that after the visit with Dr. Bouchard. It was tough for my family losing our first pet but felt comforted that Humphrey got the best medical care. Though I have not returned her call, Dr Bouchard’s follow up call was a surprise and shows how much she cares. This clinic is out of my area but I would definitely return just for Dr Bouchard.

An absolute wonderful animal clinic! Words can not express the kindness and genuine love for animals Dr. Bouchard and her receptionist, Joel, display. Dr. Bouchard clearly and thoroughly went through the procedures and options I had for my miniature dachshund, Snoopy's, ear surgery with no unexpected costs or issues that were not detailed from the very beginning of our visit. Snoopy is an anxious dog, by nature, and Dr. Bouchard has the magic, calming touch and experience to care for him very well. Her follow up call after surgery was extremely thoughtful and nice. Very professional clinic, where you can see why they are voted as a top notch veterinarian clinic in Vaughan!

I took Winter home 4 months ago at the age of 3 1/2 months. From day two we had some health issues with him and the veterinarian we use to take him to took advantage of this and continued to keep him sick. I knew this because when he was at home he would be fine but as soon as we took him home from this clinic, he was sick for days. We knew something wasn't right and could tell by Winter's body language he wasn't comfortable with them. They basically told me that my baby was dying from one of the two deceases (FIV / Leukemia) they said he may have contracted and had probable given them to my other two fur babies I had at home (Lucas and Bella).
That is when we asked a friend who introduce me to Dr. Bouchard and her team. From the day I brought Winter in for a second opinion Dr. Bouchard made us feel we were now safe and would get an honest and truthful answer of what was going on with Winter. She made me feel at ease as well by the amount of answers she provided which I did not get from the first veterinarian. We decided to retest him on everything that was already done to get a truthful answer. Not once did I see Winter uncomfortable with Dr. Bouchard or her staff. I took comfort in seeing him feeling comfort. Long story short, all his test came back negative of all that was told to me. My baby Winter was no longer sick nor did he come home sick after visiting Dr. Bouchard the plenty of times since that day.
Dr. Bouchard and Winter has this very special relationship. Winter trusts Dr. Bouchard and her staff...it makes me smile and laugh when I see the two of them together and how they interact. Dr. Bouchard did his surgery for nurturing two weeks ago, which was a sensitive case due to his white cell counts being low. She basically closed down her office all morning to focus on his needs and every time we took him in for his visits to complete all his testing, she would always call my home at night to see how he was doing. Dr. Bouchard makes me feel like she truly cares and is family to our fur babies. She truly gives her heart to all the fur babies that walk into her clinic. She's an amazing doctor who does it for the love of animals and not for the money like most clinics do; most importantly, she's a remarkable human being. I would highly recommend her to anyone...our fur babies are family to us and we want them to have that kind of care and attention that they get from Dr. Bouchard. They don't have a voice but their body language speaks very clearly and my Winter's body language convinced me that Dr. Bouchard was the right and perfect fit for him. I will continue to use Dr. Bouchard and her team and that goes for my Bella and Lucas too. All fur babies that walk into her clinic are considered her fur babies too...her love and attention for them is priceless. Dr. Bouchard thank you for all you have done and all that you will do for my Winter and his brother and sister.

Dr. Bouchard and her staff are caring, skilled and have always given my dogs the best care possible for over 7 years. Dr. Bouchard has performed regular check ups, teeth cleaning and illness diagnosis for both dogs.When one of dogs needed some specialized dental care, she referred me to the University of Guelph rather than trying the procedure herself. She cared more about my dog getting the right care than collecting a large fee for treatment.She does follow ups (she has even called on statutory holidays) to make sure everyone is recovering well. She loves animals and it shows in her all her interactions with both clients and pets. I know my pets have always gotten the best care possible with her.

Dr Bouchard and Britney are wonderful, we adopted Mookie and they've taken such great care of him. 2 days after we adopted Mookie he started to have some issues with his walking- it took Dr Bouchard and Britney no time at all to figure out what the issue was and less than 24 hours later he was walking and loving life again. Bring your pets to Summeridge for the best quality of care.

I lost my special boy because he was mistakenly brought to this clinic. The vet acted as god deciding Vegas needs to be put to sleep discarding any respect to his life, his story and his history.

About a month ago, our 13.5 year old Jack Russell Terrier suddenly and mysteriously fell ill. One moment she was fine, the next moment she had fallen to the ground, was sick, in distress and unable to regain her balance. As we were new to the area, we had to find a veterinarian quickly and found Dr. Bouchard€s clinic was close by and had decent reviews. When we took our pup to see her, we found both her and her staff to be caring and diligent professionals who took an active approach to the care of our Jack. Dr. Bouchard was thorough with her assessment and diagnosis, and gave us options for care without pressuring us to do certain tests or take certain medications. She called us almost every day over the next week, just to check in. Now, thanks to their dedicated efforts, our silly puppy is back to her old rambunctious self and promises to have many more happy years. We had a most positive experience at the Summeridge Animal Clinic and would recommend it to all fellow pet owners.

I have dealt with veterinarian clinics before, for cats, mind you. Summeridge is a caring, welcoming clinic who welcomes my dog in a very personal way. How many dogs love going to the vet's? Mine does. The appointments seldom overlap so you don't have to contain your pet with a bunch of others, waiting. Dr Helene Bouchard obviously loves animals and my dog loves her. Caring technicians are a second pair of hands for her and very helpful. My German Shepherd has gone there since she was a puppy. She is always greeted with smiling faces and affection. If there's a problem, you can use this site to email the clinic and you will promptly receive a answer. No need to phone. Diane McGuire

Dr Bouchard told me that in her experience Grace did not look like she needed to go. She was right. Grace somehow jumped into another cat life in front of our eyes.
I’m so very grateful that I went to Dr Bouchard instead of a vet 5 minutes away. Any other vet would have out Grace down. Somehow Grace became a renenewed cat in the appointment and I saw what Dr Bouchard saw. I had another happy 14 months with Grace. I’m so very very grateful.
I cannot say enough to thank her for helping me through one of the hardest things which is end of life of my beloved Grace. She walked us through every step and gave us time together. It’s always terribly sad to say goodbye but Dr Bouchard made it easier by her soft gentle manner.
If you have a four legged friend this is the vet to go to. You’ll be so very happy you did.

I brought my rabbit in a month ago because she had developed a white spot on the cornea of her right eye. I chose Summeridge Animal Clinic because their website stated that they take care of exotic pets like rabbits as well. Dr. Bouchard is a kind person and was very friendly and seemed to have knowledge about rabbits. After doing a check up on my rabbit, she told me the white spot on her eye was probably some sort of deposit, like a calcium deposit. She told me there is nothing to do since her eye looked “normal” and the lids had no redness. She did not perform any tests on her eye. At the moment, I was relieved to finally get some sort of answer for the white spot and paid a very high fee for her basic check up services (which I have gotten for much cheaper elsewhere). A few days passed and I could clearly see that her eye was not “normal”. There was definitely something wrong. I was very stressed, confused and worried about what to do to help my rabbit. This time I took her to an eye doctor. The eye doctor looked at her eye and immediately told me it was an ulcer and then performed a fluorescein eye stain test. Her white spot turned completely green from the stain, confirming that she had an eye infection and the white spot was in fact a very deep ulcer. It’s been over 2 weeks that I’ve been using prescribed eye drops on my rabbit’s infected eye, and not only is her eye looking healthy again, but her ulcer has significantly shrunk in size. If I had listened to Dr. Bouchard’s incorrect diagnosis, my rabbit would probably have lost her vision. I wasted my time and money for nothing. Although they are good people, it is clear they lack in any experience with exotic pets.

Dr Bouchard is professional and knowledgeable. We brought in our very sick hamster. She did a thorough check up and did not try to push any unnessary procedures/tests/medicine. She was very gentle with our tiny furry friend and we felt at ease with Humphrey in her care. She patiently answered all the questions my children and I had. Unfortunately, Humphrey passed a day later but we were prepared for that after the visit with Dr. Bouchard. It was tough for my family losing our first pet but felt comforted that Humphrey got the best medical care. Though I have not returned her call, Dr Bouchard’s follow up call was a surprise and shows how much she cares. This clinic is out of my area but I would definitely return just for Dr Bouchard.

An absolute wonderful animal clinic! Words can not express the kindness and genuine love for animals Dr. Bouchard and her receptionist, Joel, display. Dr. Bouchard clearly and thoroughly went through the procedures and options I had for my miniature dachshund, Snoopy's, ear surgery with no unexpected costs or issues that were not detailed from the very beginning of our visit. Snoopy is an anxious dog, by nature, and Dr. Bouchard has the magic, calming touch and experience to care for him very well. Her follow up call after surgery was extremely thoughtful and nice. Very professional clinic, where you can see why they are voted as a top notch veterinarian clinic in Vaughan!

I took Winter home 4 months ago at the age of 3 1/2 months. From day two we had some health issues with him and the veterinarian we use to take him to took advantage of this and continued to keep him sick. I knew this because when he was at home he would be fine but as soon as we took him home from this clinic, he was sick for days. We knew something wasn't right and could tell by Winter's body language he wasn't comfortable with them. They basically told me that my baby was dying from one of the two deceases (FIV / Leukemia) they said he may have contracted and had probable given them to my other two fur babies I had at home (Lucas and Bella).
That is when we asked a friend who introduce me to Dr. Bouchard and her team. From the day I brought Winter in for a second opinion Dr. Bouchard made us feel we were now safe and would get an honest and truthful answer of what was going on with Winter. She made me feel at ease as well by the amount of answers she provided which I did not get from the first veterinarian. We decided to retest him on everything that was already done to get a truthful answer. Not once did I see Winter uncomfortable with Dr. Bouchard or her staff. I took comfort in seeing him feeling comfort. Long story short, all his test came back negative of all that was told to me. My baby Winter was no longer sick nor did he come home sick after visiting Dr. Bouchard the plenty of times since that day.
Dr. Bouchard and Winter has this very special relationship. Winter trusts Dr. Bouchard and her staff...it makes me smile and laugh when I see the two of them together and how they interact. Dr. Bouchard did his surgery for nurturing two weeks ago, which was a sensitive case due to his white cell counts being low. She basically closed down her office all morning to focus on his needs and every time we took him in for his visits to complete all his testing, she would always call my home at night to see how he was doing. Dr. Bouchard makes me feel like she truly cares and is family to our fur babies. She truly gives her heart to all the fur babies that walk into her clinic. She's an amazing doctor who does it for the love of animals and not for the money like most clinics do; most importantly, she's a remarkable human being. I would highly recommend her to anyone...our fur babies are family to us and we want them to have that kind of care and attention that they get from Dr. Bouchard. They don't have a voice but their body language speaks very clearly and my Winter's body language convinced me that Dr. Bouchard was the right and perfect fit for him. I will continue to use Dr. Bouchard and her team and that goes for my Bella and Lucas too. All fur babies that walk into her clinic are considered her fur babies too...her love and attention for them is priceless. Dr. Bouchard thank you for all you have done and all that you will do for my Winter and his brother and sister.

Dr. Bouchard and her staff are caring, skilled and have always given my dogs the best care possible for over 7 years. Dr. Bouchard has performed regular check ups, teeth cleaning and illness diagnosis for both dogs.When one of dogs needed some specialized dental care, she referred me to the University of Guelph rather than trying the procedure herself. She cared more about my dog getting the right care than collecting a large fee for treatment.She does follow ups (she has even called on statutory holidays) to make sure everyone is recovering well. She loves animals and it shows in her all her interactions with both clients and pets. I know my pets have always gotten the best care possible with her.

About a month ago, our 13.5 year old Jack Russell Terrier suddenly and mysteriously fell ill. One moment she was fine, the next moment she had fallen to the ground, was sick, in distress and unable to regain her balance. As we were new to the area, we had to find a veterinarian quickly and found Dr. Bouchard€s clinic was close by and had decent reviews. When we took our pup to see her, we found both her and her staff to be caring and diligent professionals who took an active approach to the care of our Jack. Dr. Bouchard was thorough with her assessment and diagnosis, and gave us options for care without pressuring us to do certain tests or take certain medications. She called us almost every day over the next week, just to check in. Now, thanks to their dedicated efforts, our silly puppy is back to her old rambunctious self and promises to have many more happy years. We had a most positive experience at the Summeridge Animal Clinic and would recommend it to all fellow pet owners.

I have dealt with veterinarian clinics before, for cats, mind you. Summeridge is a caring, welcoming clinic who welcomes my dog in a very personal way. How many dogs love going to the vet's? Mine does. The appointments seldom overlap so you don't have to contain your pet with a bunch of others, waiting. Dr Helene Bouchard obviously loves animals and my dog loves her. Caring technicians are a second pair of hands for her and very helpful. My German Shepherd has gone there since she was a puppy. She is always greeted with smiling faces and affection. If there's a problem, you can use this site to email the clinic and you will promptly receive a answer. No need to phone. Diane McGuire
