I went here​ several years ago but left because​ Dr H. suggested many unhealthy and invasive treatments for my 5-year-old​ dog. He was condescending​ when I offered new ideas or concepts to him. We recently moved to the area, and needed a vet for our 12 year old lab.  I was happy to have a veterinary practice so close to our home.  But, my experience was extremely uncomfortable.  Dr Heffernan was condescending and rude.  His unwelcoming greeting of a new patient was shocking, and I wish I had left immediately.  He then told me my 90 pound dog neede to be lifted onto a small table, I said I couldn't do it, and he told me that neither could he.  The assistants lifted him up and my dog was terrified on this narrow table, he was shaking and unsteady and I was concerned that he would fall.  But even more disturbing was the way this man talked to me.  I said I wasn't interested in using his services and asked for my dog to be put on the floor.I was charged $100 for taking my dog's temperature and looking at his teeth.  I left $100 lighter without an answer to the issue I went for and feeling very upset and angry for how both my dog and myself had been treated.  I cannot even give 1 star as a rating but was unable to post without giving a star, and would highly recommend avoiding this doctor, perhaps the other doctors on staff are different, but even still I would not put my dog through the stress of being made to balance on a wobbly narrow table meant for lapdogs and cats.
