I was referred to Hwy 401 Warden Pet Hospital by my friends, I was little hesitant to try a new vet. I took my 14 year old cat Charlie there, was seen by Dr. P Kauldhar, he was very kind, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional. He listened to all my concerns about his increased drinking of water and urinating a lot. He explained to me the significance of running blood and urine test, my poor fur baby was diagnosed with diabetes. Sad for Charlie as he is going to get needles, but very happy with the services, staff is amazing. I would highly recommend this place to others. Forgot to mention , very affordable as well. After years of searching for a good vet I can happily say we have found the right one. We have been visiting the 401 & Warden Pet Hospital for a year now and we cannot be any more pleased. The staff is friendly and extremely informative. Most recently our little one underwent a terrifying operation, which with the help of Dr. Chaudhary, Dr. Mensinkai & all of the awesome vet techs went so smoothly. The staff is caring and makes sure not to "oversell" you with band aids, letting you know all of the options you have while still remaining affordable. After procedures they call you to check in periodically to make sure your little one(s) are doing fine. I was in the exact same situation of trying to find the best hospital to bring my Pomeranian to and I am beyond grateful that I found Warden Pet Hospital even though it was in a state of emergency. It is because of the wonderful, kind, talented and caring staff here that my 15 year old Pomeranian Ginger is back to her normal, energetic, happy self. After going through a horrible night of her shifting from shivering to panting, we knew we had to get her seen. I had called to about 4 different hospitals, each with the same response of varying high prices JUST to have her seen and not much else to say. After finding them on google and reading all the amazing reviews, I decided to call. Just the phone call here was enough to let me know that we should take her here. They were so so kind and reassuring and right away they asked what was wrong and told me to take her in that day, I was so happy to hear that the examination price was much more affordable. The office itself is very clean and every single person working here is so welcoming. We ended up finding out that she had a urinary infection and a tumor that needed to be removed as soon as possible. They explained all the costs and risks that were included in the surgery and even told us that the doctor was willing to come in early the next day to perform the surgery because of the urgency of the situation. After surgery, they were beyond helpful in terms of recovery and how to go about caring for her during. The doctors did an amazing job and Ginger is back to her playful, happy self. Thank you so so much to all the kind ladies working in the front who talked to me in each appointment, gave attention to Ginger and who called just to know how Ginger was doing, and thank you so so much to the doctors who did an incredible surgery assuring everything went smoothly. No words can explain how grateful I am of the staff and doctors at Hwy 401 Warden Pet Hospital!!! Coming from another vet (my cats former clinic), which was a nightmare, and feeling so helpless watching my very sick 2year old cat, I am so thankful I found them. I called around to several vets, each not taking a moment to find out what the situation was, and just out right giving me a price that they would charge, or not having any appointments available. I called Hwy 401 Warden Pet Hospital, and the receptionist listened and understood the situation and told me that my first step was just to bring my cat in and at least get him checked out. She booked me in for an appointment that afternoon. The vet was able to explain to me what was wrong with my cat, what options I had and even printed out a very detailed list of the costs that I would expect to pay. There was no way that I could afford the service, but the receptionist was able to walk me through the process of applying for Pet care financing. My cat was very dehydrated (since the previous vet knew and did not treat him), the doctor at Hwy 401 Warden gave him fluids under his skin before we left for the evening, since they had to wait for the next day to continue any treatments. The next morning, I brought my cat back and they were able to get him in right away. Every single service that was provided to my cat was explained to me and they even called me during the day to give me updates on his progress. The staff were very caring, patient and honest. Living in Scarborough now, we (my cat Minerva and I) were looking for a new vet nearby.  After reading the great reviews on Yelp about 401-Warden Pet Hospital, I decided to make an appointment there although it would be farther from our home than I had hoped.But it was well worth the trip!!We have made a few visits there now, and I am thoroughly satisfied with both the service and the results.  We have had most of our appointments with one doctor, but we had the initial consult with another, and I have spoken on the phone to the 3rd; they seem to work well as a team.  The support staff are friendly (to both of us), and we have always been able to get an appointment when we need, even the first time when there was an opening later that day.  Minerva also enjoys our little visits to the grassy patches of the parking lot after each appointment for a walk and nap before heading home.Minerva seems to be doing better after only a  few weeks, and her treatment was very affordable - the normal exam fee is definitely less than I have paid elsewhere. And it is located right near a Warden bus stop.Overall, a great decision to go there; I would definitely recommend to anyone needing a new vet. Read Less

I've been to atleast 4 other vet offices in the area before settling on this one. Aside from the fact that their exam fee is only $28.99 (which is AMAZING compared to the 75 bucks charged at other locations), their vets, all 3 of them, are amazing. Their reception staff is super sweet. I experienced quality care at each visit and all the vets took the time to explain and treat my cat....they made me feel like I was in good hands and that they truly wanted what's best for my pet. I didn't feel rushed like I did at other places...the same places that claim higher exam fee is indicative of their quality of care. This is definitely not the case here. Usually I am weary of super low prices...but this office delivers to your pet, compassion, and your pocket. I love my pet and I wouldn't trust anyone else with his care. Thank you 401 pet hospital! This hospital has taken care of our cats since we adopted them. I called around the city looking for a vet with great hours, pricing and a positive attitude towards animals. This clinic is it! The reception is fantastic. They follow up to see how our pets are doing after any procedure. They are courteous and don't rush you when asking questions. The vets are thorough and don't push unnecessary procedures. All the staff here are very friendly and you can tell they adore and love the animals that come for their visit. I brought my dog in twice : for a general check up to catch up on her vaccinations and teeth scaling surgical procedure. Both times we were welcomed with kindness and patience. Regarding the teeth cleaning session- dog's teeth was so clean after the procedure and I am very impressed and grateful. They also called me a few days later to follow up. I really appreciate the professionalism and the customer service. This is definitely my go-to place for any of health related care for my dog from now on. I had dogs and cats my whole life and this is one of the best Veterinary Clinics I have ever been too. They just saved my Bulldog Lola's life that came down with a life threatening bacterial infection called Pyrometra. They operated on her for over one hour and intubated her for a longer period of time ton ensure she would have an easier time time coming out of the anesthesia. The entire Staff was so loving and comforting to my Furbaby and I. They called me and emailed me a few times making sure dog was okay. I cannot speak highly enough about this Clinic. They go above and beyond. The prices are fantastic and after phoning around the best in Town. You get incredible service for less money. I went there today with my cat who's sick. Hasn't been eating, throwing up, lethargic, fever, etc. They were able to give me a same day appointment. When I went the staff were very nice and pleasant. The vet was very nice and pleasant as well. They all took their time and didn't rush me to talk and explain her symptoms or to exam my kitty. I explained to them that I am, unfortunately, strapped for cash and they gave me various options to treat her. I've been to other vets before and I've been rushed, cut off while talking, my cats weren't handled with care and I've even been given incorrect quotes then shocked when I received the bill. One of the more money gouging pet hospitals out there.  The heart for the animal is just not there as it is to money squeeze everything, even though they do provide care.  They care more about making money than helping the animal.  Behind close doors they indeed lack professionalism as well.  A former employee indicated to me that she walked in on one of them watching adult films.They aren't complete garbage that's why I gave them 2 stars but there is way better vet hospitals around.Forest brook pet hospital is by far the best pet hospital I have ever experienced for animal care.  The vet is a genuine man who cares more for the animals than making money from the people. i took my cat to this "vet" and he didn't anything. he wanted me to pay $36.00 plus tax. i took my cat to our vet who we take our cats too. today i called here and asked if they clean they shaver but guess what they don't. because my cat has something on her belly arpa and she was perfectly healthy befofe i took her here. pink shaver they don't clean don't take your animal here please don't take them. I am so pleased to have discovered the kind and caring team at 401 Warden Pet Hospital.  We rescued a dog from a home in our neighbourhood and had a very interested potential adopter for her, however we didn't feel comfortable letting her leave our home without being fixed.  I asked for a recommendation from the wonderful folks at Speaking of Dogs Rescue (speakingofdogs.blogspot.…) whom we got our dog from, and they recommended 401 Warden.   It's the vet they take the dogs in their care to.  401 Warden also extends a generous discount to the rescue - which I thought was a good sign.Kara, the receptionist, is very lovely and helpful.  The pace is not rushed and she had time to talk with us and answer our questions regarding our little rescue's spay.  We dropped her off at 8:45 and she was ready to go at 5:00 pm.  One thing that some people have told me is that they would prefer the dogs are kept overnight, but I think that adds to their stress and unnecessarily to the cost.  The vet who saw to her was very kind and was there to speak with us when we picked her up.  (I forget his name, but if anyone wants I can look at my file and find it.)  I was very impressed by the cost - which included the spay, vaccines, rabies and cutting her nails - it was much less than I paid a couple of years ago for another dog's spay only!  Also - the scar was impeccable.  They had used stitches on the inside layers and adhesive on the outside.  It wasn't even red or swollen and she didn't need a cone at all.  She never licked the wound as I think it's usually the stitches that make it itchy - and there were none!All in all, it was well worth the drive from Davenport to Scarborough.  They seemed genuinely concerned about our pup and were very kind to us.  I would make this my regular vet if they were local.  ** An added bonus is there is an A&W across the road that serves a great breakfast.( I want to extend my condolences to the first person to write a review for this clinic.  It's very hard to lose a pet, and I do sympathize.  However, I think the review was written in a moment of grief and does not accurately reflect the experience one might have at this business.) My husband and I take our 3 pets there (2 dogs and a cat) I have been treated with nothing but great service and great medical knowledge, I have had appointments with all 4 doctors at varying times some have used text books when explaining issues with my pets but personally I like that. Do you have any idea how much stuff vets have to remember? I would much rather my vet or even my family doctor look something up and be 100% then not be totally sure. I have read the other reviews and think those two people are childish, if you have a problem go to the source and discuss it like adults. We used the mobile service to put our cat to sleep and it was one injection into the neck and then the cat was put into a garbage bag.Everywhere I have read and the people I have talked to said it should be two injections.  One to sedate them and one to put them to sleep.  I'm not sure why it was only one needle but would love to find out. This vet is very reasonably priced. He is very courteous and takes good care of the pets. The receptionist may seem a bit cold at first but she is very good at her job. They do send spay and neutered kittens home the same day but you should be able to pay a boarding fee to have them monitored overnight. Read Less
