Picked this vet since they have great hours (open til 8pm on weekdays, open Sat), easy to get an appointment, and near downtown (cat used to be in the suburbs, with family). Nice website too (that's how I found them...google) Brought my cat there since he was newly-diagnosed with diabetes but previous vet was too far away to bring to frequent apptmts. Reception staff & vet assistant seemed professional and helpful. Dr. Folosea was thorough (good physical exam of the cat), informative, and pretty abreast of current vet literature on feline diabetes (I am a physician, so I understand the importance of staying current). Much more so than my cat's previous vet. Also, UNLIKE previous vet, this vet didn't push unnecessary expensive tests, push expensive prescription-brand food (just mentioned it was an option...but not pushy), nor unnecessarily-frequent followup visits. Overall, I didn't feel rushed at all...and vet explained all aspects of feline diabetes well (eg. diet changes, advantages of certain insulin over others, diabetes complications and their presentation in cats, etc). Vet tech also helpful in showing how to easily check cat sugars myself (since I told them I preferred to check blood glucose at home, instead of bringing cat in each time we wanted to titrate insulin dose).I think this office demonstrated good rapport, knowledge, empathetic staff, modern waiting room, and free street parking (as long as not during rush hour..even then, there's Green P parking close by across the street). I don't do that many reviews, but figured it was worthwhile to spend a few minutes to write this (since pets are often important to their owners, and hard to find thorough vets that don't charge unnecessarily).I plan to bring my cat back here.
