Rosedale-Moore Park Veterinary Clinic

General Info
I was born in Scotland and later immigrated to South Africa where I completed my education and qualified from Onderstepoort, University of Pretoria. I spent many years working in small animal practice and completing my post graduate honours degree, before joining the Johannesburg SPCA in 1990 as Assistant Chief Veterinarian. As a team of five vets we also gave veterinary care to the African township of Soweto. Here I spent two fascinating years and gained a huge amount of experience covering a range of medical and surgical problems, many not frequently seen in normal private practice. I then decided to open my own clinic in Sandton, north of Johannesburg, where I spent the next ten years running a smaller, very personal practice, getting to know the clients well, their pets and often their extended families - two and four legged. While awaiting our Canadian immigration application approval, I spent a glorious year working in private practice in Aberdeen, Scotland. Despite the beautiful countryside, wonderfully friendly people and colleagues, as I was unable to find a Scottish castle to fit my budget, I continued on to Canada as originally planned

Our female black and white cat became a nuisance when she began peeing everywhere. Our vet couldn’t find the problem and we were considering euthanasia when a friend recommended Dr. Paterson. Right away she put bladder stones down as a remote possibility but did the necessary work to try and rule that out. It turns out that was it. After an operation and quick recovery, our cat was completely back to her cuddly, litter-trained ways.
Dr Paterson is a skilled surgeon and her experience made the difference for h see us.

I have owned dogs all my life and this is by far the best vet clinic I have ever been too! And Dr. Lindsay Patterson is absolutely the best vet we have ever had!!!! My dog, Millie (age 4 years) abso...
I have owned dogs all my life and this is by far the best vet clinic I have ever been too! And Dr. Lindsay Patterson is absolutely the best vet we have ever had!!!! My dog, Millie (age 4 years) absolutely loves Dr. Lindsay Patterson and her staff! So do we!!! Today my dog had an appointment at 9:00. We were early and waited for them to open. Millie pulled me to the steps and we waited. She started crying and whining. When they opened the door she almost pulled me off my feet to get inside. I have also seen other dogs waiting and excited to visit the office. This is just one example of the multitude of the positive and wonderful experiences we have had with the Rosedale - Moore Park Vet Clinic. They are caring, responsible, knowledgable and skilled at what they do.
Millie was critically ill two years ago and through Dr Paterson’s capable hands, diagnosed her problem and recommended her treatment which saved her life!
This is not our first dog with Dr Paterson and her clinic. Pongo our first Hungarian Vizsla (Millie is our second) also went to Dr. Paterson. Before we went to Dr. P. Pongo was petrified about going to the vet. I had to carry her (all 45 pounds) backwards into the vet’s office and she shivered and shaked uncontrollably. Once we started going to Dr. Paterson things changed. I could walk Pongo into the office. Dr P. was patient and caring and helped her through many crises.
We cannot thank Dr Paterson and her staff enough for the fantastic care my dogs have received over the last 10 years.
