WOULD LEAVE ZERO STARTS IF I COULD
My dog Minnie was euthanized at this clinic back in 2012. It was a sudden and incredibly sad event for my family. I never received an invoice. I though naively that an invoice was never sent as they felt badly too - we all cried out eyes out. I always pay my bills but I never received it! Fast forward to May 2020 and my 6 year old toy poodle Ruby was bitten. My new vet had examined her and didn't see a puncture wound. Next day she formed what looked like an absess. My new vet was booked solid and wanted me to keep an eye on it for a few days. I was feeling a little panicky about it and tried to get her into Lawrence Vet Clinic for a quick look. They booked an appointment for the next day but then called back and said there was an outstanding bill for $88 for a euthanasia back in 2012 that would have to be paid before they would see her. What a disgusting, money hungry business!

Prior to CVA taking over this clinic I was very pleased with the care my pets had there over many years. Since CVA took over I am extremely unimpressed. Once went to get a travel certificate for our pet and receptionist at the front was dismissive and had no idea what I needed and refused to offer any help. After the vet called me to let me know I was rude to her staff. Couldn't believe my ears. Only comment to the receptionist was that I was just trying to get what I need so I don't have trouble at customs and perhaps she could be less dismissive. Went back a week later to get dog vitamins. Asked the front staff if they had nutritional supplements - answer was - you need toothpaste? No I need vitamin supplements for a puppy - oh you need food? At this point I said forget it and walked out.week later while at pet fair I mentioned to pet food supplier I take my pets a to this clinic. Their response was; oh my. My suggestion is to find another clinic. Since it was sold the new staff do not care properly for the animals. Without prompting this person said that the clinic staff is dismissive and often call customers rude if they question anything . I may lodge a complaint with vca head office, bottom line is I would not recommend this clinic at all!!!

In My opinion they are the best, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They really take their time with each visit and doesn’t make us feel rushed. They show that they really enjoy their jobs and seeing every pet that comes in the door and the vets take their time to make sure they don’t miss anything the first visit there. They also board pets if people to leave their pets in care when they are out of town with a charge of course. I’m so happy that I brought my cat here even they have a cat that looks identical to mine but still really cute. I highly recommended this place. The slight downfall is it’s kind of hard to get in and out of the parking lot because of the traffic but it has nothing to do about them but they are so conveniently located and overall easy to get to.

I am new to Toronto. Already heard not very flattering comments about this place from a neighbor at the apartment building. But, stopped by just to buy two cans of cat food. Big mistake! Never again I am buying anything here. Let along taking my cats to this place. Very strange experience. They managed to accuse me in all possible ill-intentions. First was male receptionist, then a very outspoken female vet (sorry, they refused to share the names, so not sure). Not recommending them to anyone. Unless you like to be insulted at your spare time.

Unfortunately since this business was sold to an American company,the quality of service took a big hit. Prices are through the roof, pushy tactics are in effect and sadly they are not afraid to lie. After an overcharge was noticed they quickly fixed the issue but our trust is now gone. Sad sad story .I would give no star but google won’t let me.
My advice is to yo you all : RUN !!!!
Sadly after 8 years we felt we had to find a new Vet for our pet.

Regrettably Lawrence Veterinary Clinic was sold by the best vet ever Dr. Greenwood to a large U.S. company VCA. I have been a client there for over 25 years. We had to take our dog in and we saw another vet Dr. Lee she was very nice and very good with our dog and with us. The reason I have them a 4 star rating is because I don't like the fact another big American company is overtaking Canadian business. Vets have never been a franchise business and shouldn't be in my opinion. They are family doctors for our pets.

We've seen a few different vet's for our dogs and we were happy to find Dr. Greenwood and her team at the LVC. Murphy was always happy to go a visit the vet clinic because he knew he would receive a ton of love and praise. As pet 'parents', we have really appreciated:
-The warm welcome: feeling like we were just walking into a family reunion or a friendly neighbour's home,
-The compassion: for the grief and fear that can come with pet ownership
-The mentorship: understanding that we can't be expected to know everything as soon as we adopt a pet, and taking the time to teach us about our pup's health.
-The integrity (helping us prioritize health care expenses so that we don't break the bank).
If we were still living in the city, there is no doubt that LVC would remain our clinic of choice! Thanks for everything!

The staff at Lawrence Veterinary Clinic are real pros who care so much about the wellbeing of the animals they care for. The staff are compassionate, caring, give you the time of day and always accessible. Whenever possible, they have given me advice over the phone, called for follow up and we've never had to wait for an appointment. I always thought the care was great but didn't realize just how good they were until I had to take my dog to a different vet while out of town- the service and level of competency did not compare. I am really grateful to have an amazing vet and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I brought my cat here after years of going to another vet. It was like night and day. My cat was noticeably more relaxed here, they were thorough and straight forward, I was not upsold unnecessary tests or interventions and it was markedly less expensive than what I had paid per visit at my previous vet. The staff are lovely and helpful and the clinic feels comfortable and stress free. I strongly recommend and only wish I had started coming here sooner!

These fine folks looked after our Westie, Gamma, from when we first brought him home. Wonderful clinic. Wonderful doctors. Open and communicative. Helpful and friendly. Routine check-up visits were a great, almost fun experience.
Difficult intervention treatments were made easier by the professional approach.
When we had Gamma's records transferred to a new clinic because we moved, they were very helpful and friendly. We were sorry to have to move clinics.

I'm impressed with a vet which is a super rare occurrence...My regular vet is in Mississauga and I've moved to North York so the commute has become a bit cumbersome. I've decided to try this new vet out yesterday. A few things that made this vet stellar...-I was worried about my French Bulldog and got an appointment the same day. I arrived a bit earlier and they were super polite and actually saw us a few minutes earlier.-We saw Dr. Spinks who I really liked. He really took his time and gave my dog a thorough exam (over 30 minutes long). He discussed food options and both him and the vet tech seemed genuinely interested and compassionate. They cleaned his ears. Put drops in as he has a bit of an infection. Gave him a needle for his severely inflamed bum (he had diarrhea :( ). This cost was $105. This is affordable compared to many vets I've seen over the years.-Everyone pet my dog. I know this may sound stupid but i've been to vets that didn't even acknowledge that I had a dog...My french bulldog was at ease and actually excited to be there.-My dog had a bit of an ear infection and I told my vet I still had drops left over from last time he had one. He got out 10 different bottles of drops for me to identify which ones I had (couldn't remember the name off hand). Then he told me "I don't want to sell you something you already have..." Once I identified which drops I had he told me "yeah that will definitely be fine, you don't need to buy more.." A vet just told me I didn't need to spend more money which is pretty groundbreaking...I LOVE my vet out in Mississauga (Dr Mann - Animal Hospital of Port Credit). But due to my move to North York and great experience at Lawrence Veterinary Clinic I will be switching both my dogs over here.

I have a dog and a cat and have been going to this clinic for the past 10 years. I find their service friendly, caring and knowledgeable. The vets always make recommendations but dont try to push vaccinations which is something important to me. They always are there for advise, readily available to give pet histories when needed or fill up any necessary forms and the yearly pet check up full report print out that some of the vets hand out is absolutely invaluable to me to keep track of my pets' health and progress.

I really like this vet, switched to this one when I found that my last vet was not being thorough enough with my dog and slipping with the mass amount of animals going through there all the time. The first check up I did with them for my dog, I found out immediately that my babe had luxating patella in his back right leg, as well the reason for the visit was because he had been coughing and they suggested a chest xray and I found out he has a collapsing trachea. Same time last year I went to my previous vet with the same problem and they gave me medication for him - something he didn't need medication for, it's just something some little dogs have! When I checked out they gave me a brochure on collapsing trachea and ways to "deal with it" (although there are no real suitable options without putting him on an anti-cough medication which I didn't want - and they respected). While they do cost more than my previous vet and I do wait longer, I do like how much more thorough they are, I've had a few emergencies and they have been quick to accept my boy. I feel at ease taking him there and knowing they will give him the best treatment possible.

I am new to Toronto. Already heard not very flattering comments about this place from a neighbor at the apartment building. But, stopped by just to buy two cans of cat food. Big mistake! Never again I am buying anything here. Let along taking my cats to this place. Very strange experience. They managed to accuse me in all possible ill-intentions. First was male receptionist, then a very outspoken female vet (sorry, they refused to share the names, so not sure). Not recommending them to anyone. Unless you like to be insulted at your spare time.

Unfortunately since this business was sold to an American company,the quality of service took a big hit. Prices are through the roof, pushy tactics are in effect and sadly they are not afraid to lie. After an overcharge was noticed they quickly fixed the issue but our trust is now gone. Sad sad story .I would give no star but google won’t let me.
My advice is to yo you all : RUN !!!!
Sadly after 8 years we felt we had to find a new Vet for our pet.

Regrettably Lawrence Veterinary Clinic was sold by the best vet ever Dr. Greenwood to a large U.S. company VCA. I have been a client there for over 25 years. We had to take our dog in and we saw another vet Dr. Lee she was very nice and very good with our dog and with us. The reason I have them a 4 star rating is because I don't like the fact another big American company is overtaking Canadian business. Vets have never been a franchise business and shouldn't be in my opinion. They are family doctors for our pets.

We've seen a few different vet's for our dogs and we were happy to find Dr. Greenwood and her team at the LVC. Murphy was always happy to go a visit the vet clinic because he knew he would receive a ton of love and praise. As pet 'parents', we have really appreciated:
-The warm welcome: feeling like we were just walking into a family reunion or a friendly neighbour's home,
-The compassion: for the grief and fear that can come with pet ownership
-The mentorship: understanding that we can't be expected to know everything as soon as we adopt a pet, and taking the time to teach us about our pup's health.
-The integrity (helping us prioritize health care expenses so that we don't break the bank).
If we were still living in the city, there is no doubt that LVC would remain our clinic of choice! Thanks for everything!

The staff at Lawrence Veterinary Clinic are real pros who care so much about the wellbeing of the animals they care for. The staff are compassionate, caring, give you the time of day and always accessible. Whenever possible, they have given me advice over the phone, called for follow up and we've never had to wait for an appointment. I always thought the care was great but didn't realize just how good they were until I had to take my dog to a different vet while out of town- the service and level of competency did not compare. I am really grateful to have an amazing vet and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I brought my cat here after years of going to another vet. It was like night and day. My cat was noticeably more relaxed here, they were thorough and straight forward, I was not upsold unnecessary tests or interventions and it was markedly less expensive than what I had paid per visit at my previous vet. The staff are lovely and helpful and the clinic feels comfortable and stress free. I strongly recommend and only wish I had started coming here sooner!

These fine folks looked after our Westie, Gamma, from when we first brought him home. Wonderful clinic. Wonderful doctors. Open and communicative. Helpful and friendly. Routine check-up visits were a great, almost fun experience.
Difficult intervention treatments were made easier by the professional approach.
When we had Gamma's records transferred to a new clinic because we moved, they were very helpful and friendly. We were sorry to have to move clinics.

I'm impressed with a vet which is a super rare occurrence...My regular vet is in Mississauga and I've moved to North York so the commute has become a bit cumbersome. I've decided to try this new vet out yesterday. A few things that made this vet stellar...-I was worried about my French Bulldog and got an appointment the same day. I arrived a bit earlier and they were super polite and actually saw us a few minutes earlier.-We saw Dr. Spinks who I really liked. He really took his time and gave my dog a thorough exam (over 30 minutes long). He discussed food options and both him and the vet tech seemed genuinely interested and compassionate. They cleaned his ears. Put drops in as he has a bit of an infection. Gave him a needle for his severely inflamed bum (he had diarrhea :( ). This cost was $105. This is affordable compared to many vets I've seen over the years.-Everyone pet my dog. I know this may sound stupid but i've been to vets that didn't even acknowledge that I had a dog...My french bulldog was at ease and actually excited to be there.-My dog had a bit of an ear infection and I told my vet I still had drops left over from last time he had one. He got out 10 different bottles of drops for me to identify which ones I had (couldn't remember the name off hand). Then he told me "I don't want to sell you something you already have..." Once I identified which drops I had he told me "yeah that will definitely be fine, you don't need to buy more.." A vet just told me I didn't need to spend more money which is pretty groundbreaking...I LOVE my vet out in Mississauga (Dr Mann - Animal Hospital of Port Credit). But due to my move to North York and great experience at Lawrence Veterinary Clinic I will be switching both my dogs over here.

I have a dog and a cat and have been going to this clinic for the past 10 years. I find their service friendly, caring and knowledgeable. The vets always make recommendations but dont try to push vaccinations which is something important to me. They always are there for advise, readily available to give pet histories when needed or fill up any necessary forms and the yearly pet check up full report print out that some of the vets hand out is absolutely invaluable to me to keep track of my pets' health and progress.

I really like this vet, switched to this one when I found that my last vet was not being thorough enough with my dog and slipping with the mass amount of animals going through there all the time. The first check up I did with them for my dog, I found out immediately that my babe had luxating patella in his back right leg, as well the reason for the visit was because he had been coughing and they suggested a chest xray and I found out he has a collapsing trachea. Same time last year I went to my previous vet with the same problem and they gave me medication for him - something he didn't need medication for, it's just something some little dogs have! When I checked out they gave me a brochure on collapsing trachea and ways to "deal with it" (although there are no real suitable options without putting him on an anti-cough medication which I didn't want - and they respected). While they do cost more than my previous vet and I do wait longer, I do like how much more thorough they are, I've had a few emergencies and they have been quick to accept my boy. I feel at ease taking him there and knowing they will give him the best treatment possible.
