I do not recommend this veterinary practice . My dog, who was diabetic (he recently passed away), was a patient there for three years. I boarded him there for a little over a week in 2012. I wouldn't normally board a dog at a vet, but he was insulin dependent and no one else would do injections. I left him with typed instructions for his feeding and insulin schedule and labeled food, insulin and syringes. It should have been very clear. When I returned to pick him up, he was totally emaciated and had a painful looking rash on his legs. I was told that he had "freaked out" and bumped into a table, which caused something caustic to spill on his legs. The vet wasn't specific about what that substance might have been. It looked to me like an allergic reaction, however. Rather than argue with the vet, I took him home - the technician had indicated he had already received his evening injection - at 3pm - three hours too early - and I wanted to checked his blood sugar. As I suspected, it was dangerously low. Getting his weight back to where it had been and his health in order took weeks. Then there was the bill. For one week, I was charged over $1,000. More than $100 a day to keep my dog in a cage (apparent from the smell of him and his matted hair), starve him and fail to medicate him properly, despite clear written instructions, and cause some kind of rash, in all likelihood either from giving him the wrong food (he had food allergies, which is why I brought his own) or some other error. The bill also included $80 for an unauthorized urinalysis, which I was told was prompted by his desire to go outside at every opportunity (He's a dog. In a cage. Of course he wanted to go outside!) which, as I could have told them, turned out to be unnecessary, and $50 for an ointment to treat the rash on his legs that he acquired in their care. Up to that point, I had found them expensive, but competent. They're probably fine for routine check-ups, but I would advise against boarding. Read Less
