We LOVE Quinte Animal Hospital. Everyone at the office, from Dr Peck and Dr Runciman to the vet techs and assistants, has always been friendly, affectionate, and caring to our girls. We have been taking Marley there right from her first visit after adoption. We now have a second dog, Dixie, and all our visit have been completely positive. The genuine love of animals is evident in everyone working at QAH. Some of the vet techs know our girls by name and remember which is which, something a lot of our friends have trouble with as they look similar. Both Dr Peck and Dr Runciman, as well as the vet techs are incredibly knowledgable and are patient and thorough when explaining concerns and treatment options. In response to a previous comment about being pushy with pet food, I have never encountered this. We have purchased food from them on occasion when one or the other of our girls were having digestive issues. We were given the option to keep them on this food, if the digestive problems persisted, but it was never pushed on us. I took my dog to the Quinte Animal Hospital last Saturday, February 1st. I just went with no appointment, and they fit me in after it was explained to me that appointments came first. Which I totally understood. My dog had gained a vast amount of weight(my fault). I was very concerned with this and the Veterinarian , along with a staff member talked to me about choices of food and dietary needs. They took so much time I felt guilty, but I came out with more knowledge and a food sample bag to see if my dog could tolerate the choice of food. They ran information off for me and explained why and what these sheets of paper meant. I left the clinic feeling bad that I allowed my girl to get a little (ok alot) heavier but the Dr. and staff were very understanding and helpful. We don't think of our pets teeth the way we think of ours - but we should. Imagine not brushing or flossing ever. What would our teeth n gums look like after eight years? My light calico cat CoCo, had to have ALL her teeth removed February 2015, she was 8 years old at the time. There was nothing wrong with her teeth, the problem was her gums. Her gums were horribly inflamed and beat red. We tried medication but it didn't help. The only treatment for the gum disease in CoCo was dental surgery, her teeth had to go. The disease makes the gums have an allergic reaction to the saliva on the teeth. Her teeth took 3 hours to take out, they were meant to be there forever. It was worth getting them pulled as her quality of life and confidence greatly improved. A year and a have later she is a different cat. She is much happier and has enjoyed eating again. If you have a pet whose teeth need cleaing or need to be pulled it's worth the cost. Yes dental surgery is expensive, but what's a better way to spend your money than to make and keep your beloved pet happy!. Thank you Dr Peck and staff for giving CoCo her happiness back.Read Less

I honestly hate this place..I went here the other day by accident... (I went to this vet a couple of years ago and they were just as bad trying to push their vet cat food on me.) They make you feel worse leaving than you do going in. When I went there they were asking me questions about my cat and when they went into the back either with my cat or alone I could hear them talking about me and laughing...Very unprofessional.

A few short months ago I stared working at QAH, and couldn't be more grateful to work with such a thoughtful, caring team. Each individual employee puts in 110% everyday to ensure every single animal & human that walk through those doors is properly cared for. Iv had amazing experiences prior to working there, and continue to leave knowing what steps to take next for my pets health. Hands down, recommend QAH to anyone! Read Less

It has been our experience with the hospital that great care of our pets is top rate. We have three Bernese Mountain dogs and trust care to no one else. Dr. Peck has made sure that we know what is going on with them, how much it will cost and understanding the expected treatment.. Our dogs are as much as our family as our children. With that in mind I think 10 stars be better but can only do the 5 in the rating available. Great Job to all the Animal Hospital employee's as well. Read Less

My husband and I had to take our husky here Saturday because our trailer was close by and we were an hour away from home and I would go here before I ever go see my vet again which is 5 minutes down the road. They were amazing and were so informative and were all for the pets. I have no problem driving an hour away to come to this animal hospital, I would recommend them to all animal lovers! Read Less
