I just took my dog Razor to see Dr. Boa for the first time and what a pleasant experience. He knew what we already assumed and didn’t put us through a bunch of unnecessary expensive X-rays. Front office staff was very friendly and patient! Don't ever see Dr Anderson. She argued with me and killed my dog. Than she double charged me. I was just there to get antibiotics. She is a bad vet and shouldn't be allowed to practice. She should compensate me for my pain :( Read Less

Been taking my cats and my new pup here after a negative experience at my former vet. My first visit was a rather traumatic one as it was discovered that my cat was suffering from the late stages of lung cancer and we decided it was best to end her pain as soon as possible. The staff at Beechmount were so considerate to the shock our family was going through and pushed back other appointments for the procedure. I love how clean Beechmount Animal Hospital is. The staff are very friendly and make it a priority to get your pet in as soon as possible. The veterinarians have a wonderful demeanor and make my pup feel comfortable. She loves coming back for visits. I won't give this a full 5 stars as I don't care for the 2 cats on premise who have the run of the office. My dog was spooked by one the first time we were there. We took our little mixed terrier, Walden, to see Dr. Anderson after he was diagnosed with IVDD at our hometown vet. We are glad beyond words that we took him to her for a second professional opinion. Before we saw Dr. Anderson, Walden's prognosis was grim. He was paralyzed in his back end and unable to walk. At only 4, we weren't ready to say goodbye, but could not afford the $7000 surgery our original vet had recommended. We were told he wouldn't walk again. Enter Dr. Anderson. Dr. Anderson gave Walden laser therapy and acupuncture, and also provided us with a comprehensive guide to helpful exercises for Walden's recovery. After just one visit, Walden had feeling in his feet again. Only two weeks and a couple of visits have passed - and we have our happy little dog back. He has not only regained feeling in his back end - but he is even able to walk! And we owe it all to Dr. Kirsten Anderson. We are true believers in the success of alternative therapies. We would DEFINITELY recommend Dr. Anderson and the Beechmount Animal Hospital.Read Less

I'm pretty disappointed that they didn't catch my cat's tooth decay. I brought him in last June when he had a drooling problem. The vet told me he had allergies and didn't offer to do a check up meanwhile they charged me for the first time of a check-up. I don't know what the symptoms of tooth decay are, but I mistakenly trusted they would notice indicators of any real problem. His bad breath, drooling, and obvious tartar build-up (later pointed out by a different vet) should have been signs. I brought my other cat here before, and felt comfortable with this clinic's honest and sincere attitude, but I need to recheck my other cat at a different clinic because I no longer trust Beechmount to be reliable and proactive with my animals screenings.Read Less

I have been taking my pets here for 12 years. Today they lost my business permantently. I called in to discuss the failing health of my cat and the woman (tanya) at the front desk had absolutely no empthy despite me being in tears and describing how this cat has been my best friend for the past 12 years. Never have i been treated with such clinical coldness. I have moved to another city and STILL keep driving my animals back to waterloo when they need treatment to see these people. Never again. It is not too hard to be a good vet when the animals are healthy, but when they get sick, how you respond is the measure of whether or not you are a great vet/hospital.
