However after going to her for a few years she recommended our 2 year old, health & active dog require X-rays & surgery on her knees & needed an answer by the end of the week..LOL. Coming from a medical background this didn't make sense so decided to get SEVERAL opinions. Carriage crossing animal hospital has provided my dog with excellent medical advice and care.  The veterinarian, Mara Gerriets Ashby is experienced and highly skilled.  She is very concerned about the long term health of my dog, and didn't just look at current issues.  I like her monthly payment system.  It takes the sting out of the cost of routine vaccinations etc.  Sometimes I put off getting flea treatment until I have a bit more cash, but this way it's all taken care of and I just make sure my pet's ok.  The unlimited nail clipping is great, too. My guy grows toe nails like they're going out of style and I can never keep up with them. They were helpful with training too.  My guy will take off after a cat, and I have to either let go or be pulled over by him.  They gave me a great new type of harness that keeps him from doing that.  You clip onto the front, and it pulls him sideways if he lunges.  They also gave me some tips on training and getting him to behave on walks -- but I think he has a hound brain and will always chase cats and racoons.  You should give them a try!!
