For Sable . I got Sable 9 years ago. She was a German Shepherd with an attitude, a little on the grumpy side . Sable didn't take long to fit in, going to riding lessons when Danielle (my daughter) would go. Sable would always follow. Sable had this habit of running around Renos (the horse) legs, why Reno never kicked her I don't know . Sable went everywhere with Danielle and I ,never complaining . Fall fair parades,Santa Claus parades and 4 H events . Always barking at the horses but never bothering them. She thought I will bark at them, but never hurt them. Sable never had problems putting on any kind of costume. Christmas lights to sun glasses and a hat. Always very easy going . Sometimes the car would be so packed going to a 4 H event, but we would always made a spot for Sable. Just push and close the door, making sure she had her spot . Sable would go to work at the shop with me greeting customers. ( getting lots of treats from customers) making the day go bye resting in the sun . When Paysley came into the picture the 2 of them hit it off . Paysley was a 8 week old puppy. We tied the 2 of them together with a leash, it was a little bit of a learning curve but they adjusted to it fine. (They learned together) Paysley became like Sable. They went everywhere with us, never leaving them behind; from working on the farm to riding lessons . Sable was a good friend watching out, being your protector 24 hours a day. A good judge of character. This dog would go anywhere, just give her a water dish and food and she would be happy . Sable is not with us anymore. She is on the other side now, probably barking at horses and laying in the sun . Sable you were a good friend and your going to be deeply missed. Paysley has a big spot to fill, you set the bar high for her . Hope your water always full and food dish over flowing. Take care old friend, never forgotten.
