All 3 of my bearded dragons have come from bad situations. When I rescued my 2nd one, they did a free exam for me because I was helping an animal out. And today after my appointment with my 3rd rescue, they did another free exam. I’ve been really low on money and I was going to spend my last bit to get him checked out. You guys really helped me out!! We need more vets like you guys.

I have had 2 bad experiences with this hospital. The first was with the unexpected extra charges on a bills for shots and a check up, changed from 150 to 280$. The second situation when I was quoted for a minor surgery (600-800$) that ended up being 1150$! I called for a quote both before I purchased the dog and again when I booked the operation, only to be sent an email right before the operation straighting there would be an extra charge they "forgot" to mention (2 times). I booked time off work for the operation and used the pricing they quote in the determining factor if I could afford a dog who need the surgery. Along with this i explained funds would be limited. The hospital is not straight forward with you, and rude when trying to discuss the problem. It feels as if they care more about the money then the animals / people Be prepared for surprises.

our beautiful boy Dolce went in for cherry eye surgery. There was a slight scare with him waking and eating the tube. They fixed the problem right away and told us what was happening. Not waiting for us to pick him up and tell us. They went above and beyond for him. he doesn’t like being locked up and they accommodated that. he hung out with the staff all morning and aft. Dolce made new friends that day. Thankyou for caring for him like we do and keeping him safe. we couldn’t thankyou enough.

I have brought all three of my little guys to WWAH. All have been extremely positive experiences. Yesterday, I had to bring my dog in due to an allergic reaction to his medication. They were absolutely fantastic with him, and kept him calm and happy throughout the day. I highly recommend bringing your pets here!

I am extremely heartbroken because of this vet. Absolutely unacceptable. They over charge and are extremely rude. They are the only small animal hospital but next time I get a pet, I am going to Guelph. I wish I could give 0 stars. Absolutely terrible experience. Do not come here if you love your pet.

Their grooming services are amazing, and their 'express cut' service is invaluable as my dog isn't the best in cages/crates. Out of all the veterinarians we've been to, they are far and away the best.

Our cat was sick this past week so we took him in and they were very gentle and would never handle him without asking first. When they wanted to do some blood work, they always asked and gave us the quote first for us to look over and okay it. I did find, at times, it was a bit difficult to understand the vets due to their strong accent but all in all, I wouldn't let that deter my decision to take my pet to them. And although the cost of the visits, the tests and the meds can be expensive, you can't put a price on your pet, they are family.

My experience with the Waterloo West Animal Hospital has been nothing but phenomenal.
I first came here in November of 2016 with my bearded dragon in an emergency situation. I called first to ensure they were well equipped to handle reptiles and sure enough they were. Although my bearded dragon did not make it; the team was exceptionally kind, empathetic, comforting and did not rush me out once she passed.
I have been here on other occasions since with both my cat and puppy. The service continues to be exceptional with calls from staff to check in after visits and reminders about upcoming treatments/vaccines.
I would recommend the Waterloo West Animal Hospital to anyone who is a new pet parent, needing a second opinion, or simply wishing to change veterinarians.

We started to bring our little Savannah there. She is a liver shunt dog. Right away he knew what to do and gave us the perfect diet and meds to keep her alive. We also brought our Zoe there she has severe allergy and was already on the Hypoallergenic food. She gets flair ups twice a year.. We where previously taking our pets to another vet. Now that Dr Mahboob is looking after them we will never go back to our previous vet. The staff is wonderful and compassionate Love love them so much.

I wasted $80 bucks here for NOTHING. My dog got a stick caught in her mouth or throat and I wasn't sure so I brought her in to be looked at of course. He examined her mouth and said that there was nothing in there and that it likely went back into her throat/ esophagus and that her mouth itself had nothing visible. He did NOT even take her temperature!! Well, going to my regular vet showed that there was in fact a puncture wound at the bottom left side of her tongue and that she definitely had a fever! I declined the Xrays he tried to get me to do here because I wanted a second, thorough opinion and was happy that she could get into the regular place we take the pets to. The only thing he did for my dog that was helpful was provide anti-inflammatory pain meds which relieved my babies fever that he didnt even tell us she had! I am glad that the second vet we went to was able to properly examine her mouth and had absolutely no issue with moving her tongue around, poking around at her teeth, etc. I declined all the Xrays at this vet clinic and am having my regular vet carry through with the rest of the procedures that she needs to have done including X-rays and surgery since I trust them a lot more. $80 to pay to not even have her temperature taken is ridiculous, she had to suffer all that night and then he got annoyed with us when we declined all the different antibiotics he recommended because we did not feel that she was very well looked at or that the staff really cared at all what happened to her. The only reason I am not giving a 1 star rating is because the anti-inflammatory pain meds has helped with the swelling a little, so at least that was not a waste of my money. I wish I could get my exam fee reimbursed since it was not a proper exam, and put that towards the thousands of dollars her surgery is going to cost, but I really doubt that will happen.

I went there with an emergency after another vet had mistakenly told me nothing was wrong. They knew the problem immediately after a physical exam and gave him treatment right away. There were severe complications afterwards but they were patient and fair. They always kept me informed. To solve the case, they brought in a specialist.
What I really appreciate is that they really seem to care about your pet. They welcome you and listen to your concerns whole-heartedly. The vet techs are also supportive and you can tell everyone is hardworking.

About 2 weeks ago i had to bring my cat in who needed emergency surgery to drain an abscess on her head. I have been extremely happy with the service I have received from the vets and staff from this hospital. They did a great job with my kitty who just got her cone off this past Tuesday and is once again a happy kitty. I would definitely recommend them, and plan on using them in the future for all my veterinary needs.

All 3 of my bearded dragons have come from bad situations. When I rescued my 2nd one, they did a free exam for me because I was helping an animal out. And today after my appointment with my 3rd rescue, they did another free exam. I’ve been really low on money and I was going to spend my last bit to get him checked out. You guys really helped me out!! We need more vets like you guys.

I have had 2 bad experiences with this hospital. The first was with the unexpected extra charges on a bills for shots and a check up, changed from 150 to 280$. The second situation when I was quoted for a minor surgery (600-800$) that ended up being 1150$! I called for a quote both before I purchased the dog and again when I booked the operation, only to be sent an email right before the operation straighting there would be an extra charge they "forgot" to mention (2 times). I booked time off work for the operation and used the pricing they quote in the determining factor if I could afford a dog who need the surgery. Along with this i explained funds would be limited. The hospital is not straight forward with you, and rude when trying to discuss the problem. It feels as if they care more about the money then the animals / people Be prepared for surprises.

our beautiful boy Dolce went in for cherry eye surgery. There was a slight scare with him waking and eating the tube. They fixed the problem right away and told us what was happening. Not waiting for us to pick him up and tell us. They went above and beyond for him. he doesn’t like being locked up and they accommodated that. he hung out with the staff all morning and aft. Dolce made new friends that day. Thankyou for caring for him like we do and keeping him safe. we couldn’t thankyou enough.

I have brought all three of my little guys to WWAH. All have been extremely positive experiences. Yesterday, I had to bring my dog in due to an allergic reaction to his medication. They were absolutely fantastic with him, and kept him calm and happy throughout the day. I highly recommend bringing your pets here!

They prescribed my hedgehog the wrong medications and diagnosed with her with something that she did not have and my hedgehog ended up passing away because of it. I am extremely heartbroken because of this vet. Absolutely unacceptable. They over charge and are extremely rude. They are the only small animal hospital but next time I get a pet, I am going to Guelph. I wish I could give 0 stars. Absolutely terrible experience. Do not come here if you love your pet.

These lovely folks always treat me and my dog with the utmost respect and professionalism. All the vets and technicians are wonderful and treat my dog with a gentle touch. Their grooming services are amazing, and their 'express cut' service is invaluable as my dog isn't the best in cages/crates. Out of all the veterinarians we've been to, they are far and away the best.

Our cat was sick this past week so we took him in and they were very gentle and would never handle him without asking first. When they wanted to do some blood work, they always asked and gave us the quote first for us to look over and okay it. I did find, at times, it was a bit difficult to understand the vets due to their strong accent but all in all, I wouldn't let that deter my decision to take my pet to them. And although the cost of the visits, the tests and the meds can be expensive, you can't put a price on your pet, they are family.

My experience with the Waterloo West Animal Hospital has been nothing but phenomenal.
I first came here in November of 2016 with my bearded dragon in an emergency situation. I called first to ensure they were well equipped to handle reptiles and sure enough they were. Although my bearded dragon did not make it; the team was exceptionally kind, empathetic, comforting and did not rush me out once she passed.
I have been here on other occasions since with both my cat and puppy. The service continues to be exceptional with calls from staff to check in after visits and reminders about upcoming treatments/vaccines.
I would recommend the Waterloo West Animal Hospital to anyone who is a new pet parent, needing a second opinion, or simply wishing to change veterinarians.

We started to bring our little Savannah there. She is a liver shunt dog. Right away he knew what to do and gave us the perfect diet and meds to keep her alive. We also brought our Zoe there she has severe allergy and was already on the Hypoallergenic food. She gets flair ups twice a year.. We where previously taking our pets to another vet. Now that Dr Mahboob is looking after them we will never go back to our previous vet. The staff is wonderful and compassionate Love love them so much.

I wasted $80 bucks here for NOTHING. My dog got a stick caught in her mouth or throat and I wasn't sure so I brought her in to be looked at of course. He examined her mouth and said that there was nothing in there and that it likely went back into her throat/ esophagus and that her mouth itself had nothing visible. He did NOT even take her temperature!! Well, going to my regular vet showed that there was in fact a puncture wound at the bottom left side of her tongue and that she definitely had a fever! I declined the Xrays he tried to get me to do here because I wanted a second, thorough opinion and was happy that she could get into the regular place we take the pets to. The only thing he did for my dog that was helpful was provide anti-inflammatory pain meds which relieved my babies fever that he didnt even tell us she had! I am glad that the second vet we went to was able to properly examine her mouth and had absolutely no issue with moving her tongue around, poking around at her teeth, etc. I declined all the Xrays at this vet clinic and am having my regular vet carry through with the rest of the procedures that she needs to have done including X-rays and surgery since I trust them a lot more. $80 to pay to not even have her temperature taken is ridiculous, she had to suffer all that night and then he got annoyed with us when we declined all the different antibiotics he recommended because we did not feel that she was very well looked at or that the staff really cared at all what happened to her. The only reason I am not giving a 1 star rating is because the anti-inflammatory pain meds has helped with the swelling a little, so at least that was not a waste of my money. I wish I could get my exam fee reimbursed since it was not a proper exam, and put that towards the thousands of dollars her surgery is going to cost, but I really doubt that will happen.

I went there with an emergency after another vet had mistakenly told me nothing was wrong. They knew the problem immediately after a physical exam and gave him treatment right away. There were severe complications afterwards but they were patient and fair. They always kept me informed. To solve the case, they brought in a specialist.
What I really appreciate is that they really seem to care about your pet. They welcome you and listen to your concerns whole-heartedly. The vet techs are also supportive and you can tell everyone is hardworking.

About 2 weeks ago i had to bring my cat in who needed emergency surgery to drain an abscess on her head. I have been extremely happy with the service I have received from the vets and staff from this hospital. They did a great job with my kitty who just got her cone off this past Tuesday and is once again a happy kitty. I would definitely recommend them, and plan on using them in the future for all my veterinary needs.

They are open later at night han any other vet I've seen, which works with my schedule. They are willing and able to help you. We asked for help giving our cat pills. They told us to come in, and showed us how to properly pill a cat, no cost to us.
