The Milverton Wellesley Veterinary Clinic has been offering veterinary care since 1941. We provide veterinary care to all breeds of dogs, cats, horses, cows, pigs, sheep, and goats. Located only 20 minutes from Kitchener, Waterloo, and Stratford, our Wellesley clinic is just a short drive for all the wellness needs of your pet. Our goal has always been to provide exceptional medicine with value-added, dependable service and to maintain an active role in the well-being of our communities. The Milverton Wellesley Veterinary Clinic strives to provide our patients with the best possible care by continually incorporating the latest technologies into our diagnostic procedures. Our current team of veterinarians and support staff work out of our two clinics, in Milverton and in Wellesley.

I have been pretty happy overall with bringing my dog here over the years but when my dog was diagnosed with Stage 2 kidney disease, things seem to change in how they treated me. They started to treat me differently. At the end, if I asked one question and they told me to make an appointment and that their staff will not answer any of my questions unless I come in for an appointment. So, I made an appointment. Then they insisted on my dog to get blood work done or if I didn't Dr. Huband would not refill my dogs prescriptions and not to mention blood work was done 6 weeks early. I was told my dog would not make it to the fall therefore, I didn't want to keep poking my dog with needles. I thought, "What is the point if my dog only has several months left?" They refused to understand where I was coming from. I was then told that Dr. Huband would not continue to treat my dog if I don't get blood work done. I also got pressured into getting a urine test, which I did. I was told blood work would be required every 6-12 weeks. I was told if I didn't like it to go to another vet and see what they would say. Guess what, I did go somewhere and they did not tell me the same thing. I questioned the way they were talking to me and the tone of the emails that were sent to me and Carrie's response was that they don't have time to discuss it. I always thought treatments are recommended and not mandatory. I guess it was different there. I decided to go to another vet in town rather than travel out of town to go there. The way I was treated at the end, I would not recommend going there. I still don't know why they started to treat me so poorly at the end. If you go there, make sure you know your prices before going in and I recommend you ask for your pets file for your records from time to time. Sometimes there are things put in there that were not discussed at the appointment or you find out how they really feel about you. I also noticed with my vet Dr. Huband was always concerned about something to try to elicit an emotional response from me to spend more money. For the most part, I didn't fall for it. Another drawback I found going there is that my vet only work two to three days a week so if you like to stick to one vet it is almost impossible to do. One last thing, my dog had a heart murmur and Dr. Huband said it was at stage 6. I had two different vets that said it was at stage 3. Why the huge discrepancy? Was my dog misdiagnosed? I hope this review helps someone to decide whether they want to go here or not.

Always receive amazing care from Wellesley Veterinary Clinic! Chose this vet because of a recommendation from a friend, and have been extremely pleased with the level of service. I have taken my 2 dogs and a cat to three different vet clinics in KW and have not been pleased with them.
I appreciate the way Wellesley treats my animals! They are very easy to get in contact with- using either the phone or email. They always reply promptly and are able to schedule me in no more than two weeks out. Regular check up emails after surgery and vet visits area always appreciated!

Dr. Bill Hazen, I have such high praise for. I , along with many others, who love a little island dog that is owned by no one, she is in trouble with what appears could be a poisoning. Dr. Hazen , also on vacation, has been helping her through this. Making house calls daily , giving her needed Meds to survive this. Consulting with other vets for us. His quick attention and guidance is so appreciated . Anyone that has him as a vet for their horses are truly fortunate.

Had our 1yr old puppy fixed almost two weeks ago as we had with our other 2 dogs over the years. Less than a week later it died due to their intestines hanging out of its body and a bloody scramble to an emergency vet... sounds normal so far right?! Tried to move on with our vet under the premiss 'It could happen to anyone, that's life' and booked one of our dogs and two cats for checkups and small procedures. Clinic set up appointment on Tuesday for Thursday. We get there today (Thursday) and they say they meant next Thursday. We know this was not the stated date as next Thursday we are not available and had our schedules in front of us during the call. Beyond words how torn up we already were about the graphically disturbing loss of our 1yr puppy, thousands spent over the years on pet care and no compassion to show for it other than an initial call to more or less assure us the procedure was not to blame. Several 5-Star visits over the years, but when your animals are all the family you have you don't let a 0-Star experience be forgotten. Our family can't endure more losses of this kind and when the front desk can't get their dates right you only fear for what else could be happening. You'll read this and think "it was only one persons bad experience"... maybe so. I hope you have never lost anything so precious to you as we have.

I love all the staff at the Wellesley Vet Clinic. They treated Taz and myself with the upmost respect and were very attentive to doing their very best to help my boy Taz. Although we weren't able to help Taz, they were very supportive and caring of the difficult decision I had to make. They are fabulous! Now, I have a sick dog, Geek. At only 6 months he is not doing so well, WVC have been wonderful so far and I'm confident they will do everything to diagnose his issues, and make him feel better! Thank you all for your kindness.

I absolutely love the WVC. I made the drive for a long time from Waterloo bypassing several closer vets. We now life a lot closer to Wellesley and own a few more animals who all see Dr. Kris. When i was doing my research before we got our first puppy, I called the Wellesley clinic and although i didn't have a dog at the time, they still treated me as if i had been a client of theirs forever! Cindy even put together a pricing package for me and walked me through everything we would have to do in the first year of getting a puppy. NO other clinic i looked into even took me serious unless I made an official appt (which they wanted me to pay for without even having a pet).
Now, 3 dogs later, we see Dr. Kris Huband and couldn't be happier with the service, pricing, and atmosphere that exist in the WVC.

I have been going to see the lovely people at the Wellesley Veterinary Clinic since 2010, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I live in Waterloo and don't mind making the short drive to Wellesley simply because of how great Dr. Foster and the whole team are, as well as the wonderful atmosphere at the clinic. Everyone working here is friendly and knowledgeable, the clinic is always spotlessly clean and inviting. My 12 week old husky had her first visit yesterday and she didn't even mind her vaccines because of all the cuddles and liver treats she got! We love the Wellesley Veterinary Clinic

Love, love, love WVC!! All of the staff are so caring and considerate. They helped us care for our beloved cat, Oliver for many years and were there for our family as he left us for kitty-heaven at 19 years of age. Their support and guidance was so appreciated and made a difficult experience easier. We are picking up our new puppy on Friday and wouldn't think of putting our new baby into the hands of anyone else for veterinary care.

This is the best Vet Clinic out there. I've been going here for 28 years!! The Drs. And staff are right on the ball!! Honest, clean, friendly and very well educated. They take time to explain everything in a way we all can relate. If you have any questions ( because sometimes it's a little overwhelming ) you can call back and make sure you have your facts straight, they totally understand and will go through the treatment plan again. I would personally like to thank Dr Dieter for saving my horse -without his expertise and dedication she surely would not be with us! He has been amazing with her post suture care as well. The staff have been great in preparing my bandaging supplies.
I have been a client of Wellesley Vet Clinic for over 30 years and they have taken the worry out of my pet ownership. From saving my horses life to Dr Foster saving my aged poodles life and extending his time with his family...this is a fantastic all round solution to getting the best care for your pets!

Tried to move on with our vet under the premiss 'It could happen to anyone, that's life' and booked one of our dogs and two cats for checkups and small procedures. Clinic set up appointment on Tuesday for Thursday. We get there today (Thursday) and they say they meant next Thursday. We know this was not the stated date as next Thursday we are not available and had our schedules in front of us during the call. Beyond words how torn up we already were about the graphically disturbing loss of our 1yr puppy, thousands spent over the years on pet care and no compassion to show for it other than an initial call to more or less assure us the procedure was not to blame. Several 5-Star visits over the years, but when your animals are all the family you have you don't let a 0-Star experience be forgotten. Our family can't endure more losses of this kind and when the front desk can't get their dates right you only fear for what else could be happening. You'll read this and think "it was only one persons bad experience"... maybe so. I hope you have never lost anything so precious to you as we have.

The staff at the clinic are so friendly and informative! The environment is clean and always feels welcoming. My puppy Aspen really likes going to the vet I think! :)

I love all the staff at the Wellesley Vet Clinic. They treated Taz and myself with the upmost respect and were very attentive to doing their very best to help my boy Taz. Although we weren't able to help Taz, they were very supportive and caring of the difficult decision I had to make. They are fabulous! Now, I have a sick dog, Geek. At only 6 months he is not doing so well, WVC have been wonderful so far and I'm confident they will do everything to diagnose his issues, and make him feel better! Thank you all for your kindness.

I absolutely love the WVC. I made the drive for a long time from Waterloo bypassing several closer vets. We now life a lot closer to Wellesley and own a few more animals who all see Dr. Kris. When i was doing my research before we got our first puppy, I called the Wellesley clinic and although i didn't have a dog at the time, they still treated me as if i had been a client of theirs forever! Cindy even put together a pricing package for me and walked me through everything we would have to do in the first year of getting a puppy. NO other clinic i looked into even took me serious unless I made an official appt (which they wanted me to pay for without even having a pet).
Now, 3 dogs later, we see Dr. Kris Huband and couldn't be happier with the service, pricing, and atmosphere that exist in the WVC.

I have been going to see the lovely people at the Wellesley Veterinary Clinic since 2010, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I live in Waterloo and don't mind making the short drive to Wellesley simply because of how great Dr. Foster and the whole team are, as well as the wonderful atmosphere at the clinic. Everyone working here is friendly and knowledgeable, the clinic is always spotlessly clean and inviting. My 12 week old husky had her first visit yesterday and she didn't even mind her vaccines because of all the cuddles and liver treats she got! We love the Wellesley Veterinary Clinic

Love, love, love WVC!! All of the staff are so caring and considerate. They helped us care for our beloved cat, Oliver for many years and were there for our family as he left us for kitty-heaven at 19 years of age. Their support and guidance was so appreciated and made a difficult experience easier. We are picking up our new puppy on Friday and wouldn't think of putting our new baby into the hands of anyone else for veterinary care.

This is the best Vet Clinic out there. I've been going here for 28 years!! The Drs. And staff are right on the ball!! Honest, clean, friendly and very well educated. They take time to explain everything in a way we all can relate. If you have any questions ( because sometimes it's a little overwhelming ) you can call back and make sure you have your facts straight, they totally understand and will go through the treatment plan again. Totally understanding your pet is a family member!!!

By far the nicest staff my family and I have experienced. They give their honest opinion, knowledgeable suggestions and keep your budget in mind when trying to help all of our animals. I would personally like to thank Dr Dieter for saving my horse -without his expertise and dedication she surely would not be with us! He has been amazing with her post suture care as well. The staff have been great in preparing my bandaging supplies.
I have been a client of Wellesley Vet Clinic for over 30 years and they have taken the worry out of my pet ownership. From saving my horses life to Dr Foster saving my aged poodles life and extending his time with his family...this is a fantastic all round solution to getting the best care for your pets!
