Dr. Kodsy was incredibly supportive when we found out our dog Max had cancer and helped us understand the treatment options. They gave him great treatment and helped keep him comfortable as his health deteriorated due to his age and illness. They were very supportive of us when we had to say goodbye to Max when he crossed the rainbow bridge. More recently Dr. Kodsy and his team have provided excellent care to our new puppy Cooper. They have also provided us great education for training tips to help him become a well rounded puppy. My pet died here, because of complications that could have been avoided!... not only did they dare to lie on the phone by claiming everything was okay earlier in the day when they at that time Knew it was grave but dr cozy's attitude turned into something so FOUL! We took our black lab to see Dr Kodsy for his annual physical and for some issues we were having with anxiety. It's easy to see why he and his team have a five star rating. All of the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. They offered us all the options without being pushy or trying to upsell. Prices were very comparable and competitive. Dr Kodsy was absolutely amazing. He spent well over 40 minutes with us addressing the anxiety issues in our dog and how we can best start to work on them. His physical exam was thorough and he has a real gift in the way he deals with animals. He listened to what we had to say and addressed each concern at length. I searched Google for a vet clinic in my area and found Dr. Kodsy and it was the best find I've ever made! My Boxer (Taizzer) has never liked any vet I've taken him to (which I realize most animals don't) but Dr. Kodsy had such a way with him he now has absolutely no problem going to see him. Dr. Kodsy was so knowledgeable treating him for his eye ulcer and never did any unnecessary tests or procedures. I've had numerous bad experiences with vets in the 9 yrs I've had Taizzer but for the first time I feel confident taking him to Dr. Kodsy. He truly believes in treating your pet, not his bottomline! If you can find a vet who follows up with the progress of your pet's health, personally calls in advance reminders for appointments, treats your pets like their own, teaches you as a pet parent about your pet's health condition so that you understand every step that is taken by the vet team to get your pet the best care and is sincerely to the core understanding and empathetic of the emotional and financial stress that comes with being the parent of an ill fur baby then maybe you have found Dr. Kodsy's equal. Morningstar Pet Hospital is without doubt the best! Dr. Kodsy is so genuinely caring it warms my heart. He truly cares for all his patients. Upon our first appointment our not so friendly dog was extremely comfortable with him. My dog has never liked the vet (she is in there quite often due to stomach issues), but now it takes nothing to get her in there. The team is very thorough and does not leave a stone unturned. Dr. Kodsy wanted to ensure that Lilly had the most holistic approach to her stomach issues, and we've been in to see him far less since us switching clinics & him modifying her meds. Dr. Kodsy is the best veterinarian I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, so when my beautiful dog Roo required immediate attention, I brought her to see him without hesitation. He performed emergency surgery, assisted by his brilliant RVT Amy, and literally saved her life and kept her heart from failing. How do you even begin to thank someone for this? I still have my sweet girl, and it is because of him. He never hesitates to answer questions and provide you with as much information as possible, he explains things and helps you understand a situation with ease, facilitating educated decision making. He is personable and makes you feel at ease when your pet is in his care, he is impeccably knowledgeable, provides strategies and suggestions to aid in your pets wellbeing. He handles an emergency with a calm demeanor that reassures even the most frantic pet owner(this being myself, of course). He never pressures you to spend money where it is not warranted, and will be honest and explanatory when you ask for his opinion or recommendations. He truly understands what it is to be a pet owner, and empathizes. Plus he is the veterinarian that my dog dislikes the least! We also went to Dr. Kodsy when our late Shih Tzu was ill, and he was phenomenal with his care and he was also there to support us when he passed.
