My girl is old now and having some issues, so my first reaction was to call Bracks to get her the best care. But Bracks was busy and unable to see her. My second reaction was to call the usual place, but there’s always a cloud of uncertainty of there. Best vet in all of windsor, well priced!!! When my dog passed away they didn't rush me out, made sure i was taken care of and had everything the way i wanted. When i got my puppy, he did the most detailed examination on her, and treated her like a absolute princess! We cannot recommend Pesic Animal Hospital enough! Dr. Srdjan Pesic and all of his staff are extremely compassionate. They treat their animal patients like they are their own pets. This past Saturday our dog got into some chocolate in the afternoon. We noticed just a few minutes before Pesic Animal Hospital was closing and called immediately. Dr. Pesic did not hesitate to tell us to bring him in right away. He kept his vet tech/assistant on duty and spent the next almost hour treating our dog and monitoring him. After he felt confident he had done everything possible to care for our dog he sent us home with thorough instructions of signs and symptoms to watch for and medication to continue. He instructed us to take our dog to the emergency vet if we needed further medical attention for him and to call him on Monday (today) to update Pesic Animal Hospital on how he was doing. To our surprise Dr. Pesic called us on the next morning, (Sunday his only day off each week) to inquire about how our dog was doing! Dr. Pesic is a truly caring veterinarian who invests all of himself in his patients. His prices are very reasonable and we are incredibly grateful to Dr. Pesic and his staff. My wife and I have been taking our dogs to the same vet at a very busy clinic for 23 years. We wanted a vet that was closer to our home. We also felt, after comparing notes with friends who have dogs, that the fee structure for the various expenses we incurred were at the very high end of what vets are charging today. Our first appt. with one of our dogs was this afternoon and start to finish it was impressive. Dr. Pesic was courteous, professional, unhurried and kind. He took time to explain necessary treatments. He answered all my questions thoroughly and my dog genuinely liked him and his staff who were equally kind and compassionate. He also took time to review charges in advance of treatments. My Great Dane ate a tennis ball at the dog park this Friday evening. My vet highly recommended I take him to the Emergency vet. The one on Walker Road was an hour wait with the vet going into surgery. The one on Lauzon had only one vet on who was in surgery. Waiting was not an option for us. Pesic Animal Hospital was open until 9 pm on Friday night so I called. They took us right away. Dr.Pesic was absolutely awesome and so was the vet tech. They were both so good with my dog who wasn't even a regular patient of their's. Dr. Pesic did everything in his power to avoid doing surgery as the cost would have been over $1000 for a dog that size. In just a short time the tennis ball was out. It was a very very sad day for me, having to send my sweet boy on his final journey. I'm so thankful for the understanding you had of what I was going through.
