The Best Vet Office After reading some negative reviews, as a person with 4 dogs and a couple of litters in-between, Dr. Sam is by-far the best doctor I’ve visited. I’ve had negative experiences with many other veterinary hospitals, most notably Richmond Hill Emergency Vet Hospital, where long story short, he came in for a bladder-stone removal, by the end of it, he was released back into my care supposedly “healthy” with triple the original quote and they kept him in such bad condition sepsis developed on his leg without their knowledge which I had to bring to Dr. Sam to properly diagnose and get surgery on. Dr. Sam has never up-sold me on any procedure or product he felt was not necessary, so yes a urine-test or poop-test is not cheap, but neither is any part of owning a dog. If you decide it’s too much for it to be tested, Dr. Sam has never made me feel like a bad person for not going thru with a procedure I can’t currently afford, and will instead offer me free-of-charge what he thinks his best course of actions are to be. He removed a bladder stone for one of my older dogs, and went the extra step to have the stones examined at the University of Guelph so they can diagnose an exact diet to prevent his stone condition from returning, there is literally only 1 brand in the world that makes food to protect against this particular stone and he was also able to order it for me at a highly reasonable cost considering the science behind the food. His staff is also excellent, all the nurses are lovely and are genuine animal lovers. I felt so strongly about how excellent a doctor Dr. Sam is that I had to respond to some of the negative comments. The Dr. Sam I know will never purposely mis-diagnose your dog, and as far as I’m concerned, he saved one of my dogs life and saved my other dog from losing a limb due to the shoddy care of another office. And for anyone who really wants to complain about prices, please call 5 of your closest veterinary offices and I promise you they will all try to charge you way more for the same procedures Dr. Sam provides plus try to upsell you on a few more. My beloved dog whom I love her more than anything in life has gone under anesthesia with Sam Sadeghi twice for the oral pain she 's had. Under the first sedation he saw scars in her mouth, but he put her on antibiotics only because he THOUGHT it was stomatitis. On the second anesthesia although the scars were still there, he did simple cleaning of the teeth only , and he put her again on 2 more rounds of antibiotics because he still THOUGHT it was stomatitis. The scars never went away with the antibiotics. He never performed the biopsy of the scar tissue to see what the problem was even though I had asked him to do so for the second time anesthesia. 2 months later after unnecessary antibiotic treatments, I had to take my dog to a dentist for her oral pain, the first thing the dentist did was doing a biopsy and it turned out to be poorly differentiated cancer. I took my dog to the surgeon right away, but it was too late for the surgery because of the delayed diagnosis. The random unnecessary antibiotics Sam Sadeghi put my pet on made the cancer multi resistant to almost all antibiotics based on the culture we did with the surgeon. I have made the complaint to the College of Veterinarians of Ontario for his misdiagnosis for my beloved pet. My dog has been with me 14 years and she is my baby. I have to see her in pain everyday because of one mistake I made which was going to this clinic. I can never forgive myself for delaying her treatment because of bringing her to YOU. If you are reading this comment, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't take your beloved animal here for any dental/oral work. He doesn't have the tools and knowledge for this job although he runs adds on Google for dental cleaning because there is good money in it. It doesn't matter if your pet needs oral biopsy, extraction, or dental xray, what he offers you only is the simple cleaning and that's done by his technician not by himself. Instead of using the dental xray machine, he uses the lung xray machine for the mouth and charges you $450 which is more expensive than the dental xray itself. My dog also had a tooth fracture with pulp exposure and he left the tooth just like that because he has no dental tools. When I called him later on that my dog is still in pain, he said because my dog is 14 years old and that's normal for her to be in pain! There are so many things wrong about my experience with this clinic and I have mentioned the highlights only. So far we're very happy with this clinic, throughout the years we've tried many places with our pets.This place has nice and caring doctors, and staff! no it isn't cheap - but what place is? However we find that it is very reasonable compared to other places we've been and gotten terrible and un knowledgable advice and service where our pets had to be the treated and ended up costing us double in the long run!!Dr. Sam is very caring and friendly, he does a full examination, he always asks before doing any further testing, never insists or pushes, he makes certain recommendations and so on. I don't know how many people this guy paid to post these reviews but he is a total crook. Every time you go there he wants to perform a battery of tests on your dog for any symptom at all (i.e. sneeze). He over charges for all of his services and is about as authentic as NFL jerseys from China. Do you, your pet, and your wallet a favour and avoid this crook! P.S. It's actually a 0 star review. Terrible experience with Dr. Sadeghi. Performed emergency surgery on my dog and did not communicate anything to myself and my family in regards to what to expect and steps moving forward. Misdiagnosed my dog after the surgery and told us we needed to amputate his leg. Once we received a second opinion we found out none of that was true and he didn't run the sufficient tests to justify ampitation. Also put my dog on multiple pills and medication without any communication or explanation. I would never refer this veterinary clinic to anyone and if you are a customer of this establishment I urge you to get a second opinion before making any big decisions with your little family member's life! And my horror story is not the only one I have heard in the months after I found a new vet. Read Less

What a wonderful clinic! Everyone is so nice and so sweet towards the animals. From the receptionist, to the assistants and Doctors. The Doctors are so gentle when handeling my cat. They speak to her as if she were a little person, always praising her at how good she is doing. My concerns are never overlooked and i never feel rushed when i have a million questions for them. My cat is part of my family, and i couldn't imagine my life without her so it is a comfort to know that when we go to the clinic for a simple yearly check up or an urgent matter that she will be well taken care of. After a year 1/2 of treating my beautiful Golden at another hospital for yeast ear infections and "allergies" I found Dr. Sam. My dog had already developed a tumor due to severe infection on the right ear and was probably going to lose his ear canal entirely which he did after the surgery. His left ear was saved and with the medication and treatment he gave us! I can not believe that the left ear is healthy !! within 2 weeks of treatment. Unfortunately he found another tumor that is now malignant. After having him treated at another Vet Hospital and I can say that Dr. Sam its very professional and he saved his left ear. With my past two dogs I had many problems with this vet. With my old dog (Blaze) we went to this vet as its close by, this vet gave the dog his shots and my dog wouldn't move from his bed and would not even come near me from the amount of pain it caused. Although they show emotion of how your dog is and what is going on they refused to give me the paper work when i had to give away my dog. With my current dog (Diesel) it started with the same thing, the shots were so bad that he hid from all of us and would not leave his bed/house. He is a small dog compared to my old dog (old: husky/ New: Chihuahua). Sam (vet) decided to tell me i should get another need (i don't remember the name) to counter act the "reaction". I didn't think twice because i did not want my dog to be in pain. He then told me he took blood from him when he was sick and then i never got results. After a while my dog somehow got into something and needed to get his tummy pumped and I was told by them that even though they have an emergency number and is a "HOSPITAL" they would not open early and would not be in to treat him. So i went somewhere else where they shaved my dog to get blood and to give an IV, Sam (vet) did not do anything but say he took blood. When i contacted vellore village vet I asked for the results, they said they did not have them. After getting this response i asked for diesel's file and his history, they refused. I went in and asked faced to faced and they said they will prepare the file and to come back in a day or so. I went back and still nothing. When I adopted my newest family member a few years back, he came with an issue that would require surgery. His inner eyelid had detached (dogs have 2 per eye) and the only way to reattach it was surgically. After reading about his condition (called red eye), I took him to see Dr. Sam. Surgery was booked and I dropped my dog off at the scheduled time. Since that initial visit, I have taken my other pets to him as well. He is very calm with the animals and immediately puts that at ease. When it was diagnosed that my other dog may have cancer, we discussed treatment options. Thankfully, the biopsy came back negative, but I was informed as to next steps should the diagnosis came back different. His staff, both in the back and out front, are warm, caring and have great senses of humor.The only fault I can find is that he is more expensive than others. EG - a friend adopted a kitten and wanted to get it neutered. The cat had a heart murmur which made the rescue centre nervous about putting him under. I popped in to talk surgery costs with the pet hospital (not with Dr. Sam but with one of the other staff members) and was quoted around $450. Another vet (newly opened at Vellore Woods/Rutherford) came in at $600 and another clinic across from Vaughan Mills came in at $300. My friend ultimately took her cat to a place in Brampton (near where she lives) and the surgery was just over $200. Based on these prices, he seems on the higher end. Read Less

Took my dog recenly for two much needed appointments!!! The staff there took care of her with no problems which was a relief as in the past she would act too aggressive in which a muzzle had to be put on when the vet examined her.I found the staff to be helpful, kind & patient.I like that it's only a 15mins drive & that it's a small place.I gave it 4stars cause I find their prices to be a bit pricey well, for some vaccinations and examination's but I love & care about the general health & wellbeing of my dog that I want her to stay being healthy, happy & loved! After all, isn't that what matters most? Luv her to bits! I think everyone should own a pet! They give you unconditional love & just add something special to your ordinary life:) Read Less

Dr. Sam is excellent. He is very clinical but really good with my dogs. He is excellent at hearing my concerns and respecting my decisions on vaccinations (or rather not to vacinate) and he has recently dealt with one of my dogs who has bone cancer. Dr. Sam called in a Specialist to do the biopsy and he arranged for this, and the Oncologist visit very quickly. I believe my dog is still with us today due to his fast actions and great advice.
