We are not happy with Lane Veterinary Services. On May 16, 2024, I emailed Dr. Lane's office and told them that my dog was dying: my dog needed a home euthanasia as soon as possible. Dr. Lane's office wrote in an email back that I needed to phone them. Why didn't his office take the initiative and phone me? They had my phone number on file. So I phoned Dr. Lane's office and told them that my dog was dying: I needed a home euthanasia as soon as possible. Many times I phoned and emailed Dr. Lane's office, from May 16, 2024 to May 17, 2024, asking for help, asking for a home euthanasia. Finally, an appointment was booked for a home euthanasia for the evening of May 17, 2024. Dr. Lane failed to show up. I desperately phoned and emailed Dr. Lane's office on the evening of May 17, 2024 when Dr. Lane failed to show up. I had watched my dog suffering in pain, struggling to breathe for hours. It was getting worse. I desperately phoned and emailed Dr. Lane's office on the morning of May 18, 2024: I needed a home euthanasia. I watched my dog die in extreme pain. After my dog was dead, Dr. Lane showed up unannounced at my house on May 18, 2024 after 9h15 a.m. Dr. Lane failed to examine my dog to ensure that she was dead. Dr. Lane failed to provide me with a death certificate for my dog. Dr. Lane didn't do anything. He just looked at my dog from a distance of about three feet away then he left. A couple of weeks later I received a bill in the mail for hundreds of dollars for the home visit. But Dr. Lane had done nothing: no examination, no administration of medication, no euthanasia, nothing. And Dr. Lane had failed to show up for our original appointment for euthanasia on May 17, 2024. Furthermore, Dr. Lane refused to answer my questions: why had Dr. Lane prescribed a drug that suppresses the immune system for my dog, after my had been diagnosed with an immunological disease? Why had Dr. Lane told me to stop administering the drug after having placed on dog on it for a few weeks? Why did my dog's breathing and heartbeat worsen after she was placed on this drug? Why did my dog die a couple of days after the drug was stopped? Was it possible that my dog should never have been placed on this medication? Was my dog used for experimental purposes? Why didn't Dr. Lane's office tell me on May 16, 2024 that Dr. Lane was too busy and that I should look elsewhere for a home euthanasia instead of stringing me along for a couple of days and making my dog suffer, only to die a natural, painful death? I do not recommend Lane Veterinary Services. Read Less
