Welcome to the Montague Vet Clinic and Animal Hospital. We are a located at 100 Queen's Road, Montague, Prince Edward Island where our motto is HELPING ANIMALS LIVE BETTER. We are a full service small and large veterinary practice. Our staff includes seven veterinarians, two registered animal health technician, one veterinarian assistant, three receptionists, a book keeper and a groomer. We have one affiliated clinic called the Souris Veterinary Clinic in Souris PEI. Our services include: laser therapy, acupuncture, small animal preventative medicine, surgery, dental, radiology and ultrasound. We also handle large animal preventative and herd health medicine, radiography, ultrasound, equine dental, and embryo transfer services to our farm animal clientele. Call us for 24 hour emergency service for companion and farm animals.

We are extremely grateful for the services of Dr Katherine Mitchell (who we wish as a breeder was still at the MVC...as do multiple other breeders) in addition to Dr Carolyn Runyon (and her awesome right hand Jessi) for their exceptional care of our pack.
I would note...it is misleading to say there is 24 hour care available at this clinic. There, to my understanding, is 24 hour care for LARGE animal issues. Not breeder support from MVC/SVC. You are still at the mercy of AVC after hours and in my multiple experiences has been traumatic (as it has been for many others...especially responsible breeders).
Having all the latest equipment in the world won’t help me if I have an emergency after hours.
As a retired veteran trauma nurse who served in Afghanistan, I do understand long hours, horrid conditions and extreme fatigue and burnout.
It is much appreciated that most of the staff are exceptional and extremely caring at MVC. Do watch you invoices, as mistakes have been made on mine and it’s easier to fix it at the time then after the fact with your pet insurance company.
Again...can NOT say enough good about Dr Mitchell and Dr Runyon (Jessi)...excellence in care hands down.
