Let me first start off by saying the most simple thing. People are entitled to their own opinion. If you want to talk about just the bad experience then that’s up to you guys.. But for me this vet as been nothing but taking good care of my two cats and two dogs for the past ten years.. not once as he over charged me for anything... and him and his partner have been nothing but friendly and always said the truth with out running around the bush... People need to understand that all animal are a living thing just like us humain and guess what even the simple surgery on us can have complications, same thing can happen on animals... you guys want to complain about the prices and get charge for this and that and then get mad well it’s costing to much funny thing is ... and I will quote what’s the vet told me “ it always up to us to get the blood work done or testing of the stools.. he does recommend it but not mandatory “ The past 10 years he’s been telling me the same thing I don’t thing some of the reviews on here are 100% true.. If you are still hesitant about going to the vet of Touraine here’s my advice don’t keep reading all the reviews... make and appointment and go see for yourself if your gut gives you a bad vibe then just walk away there are plenty of other vets around.. I have to give a 1 star only, had my cat declawed and had to go back twice as it wasn't done properly. I felt soooo bad for my cat. The 3rd time, I decided to go somewhere else and they got it right, instantly. So, my 1st mistake was to get it declawed, if possible, avoid this operation. My 2nd mistake, go to that clinic because it was cheaper. The good news is there are other clinics near buy that will take the necessary steps in order to get it done, properly the 1st time. Brought my sick dog there. She hadn't been eating for days and was always sleeping. First appointment cost me 270$. The vet didn't know what she had. I had explained to him that she seemed to have a cold, but that she was not spayed and had recently had a heat. He gave her a shot and took her blood to do test. He asked me to come back the day after to have the results. It cost me another 175$ just to hear him says that the blood test was fine and that he didn't know what she had and needed to do more tests. He said my dog could have lots of things (ulcer, blocked intestine) and wanted me to do a 450$ test to check her intestinal track. I was fed up to hear him say ''I don't know, I need to do more test''... and have him rip me off so I went to see another vet. The second vet was anima plus. When I explained my dog's situation, they gave me an appointment right away and they asked me to get the first vet to transfer my dog's file to them by fax or e-mail. I called the first vet and he refused to do so by fax or e-mail; it was paper only and for a 35$ fee. So, I brought my dog to anima plus and the vet's TECHNICIAN, upon hearing the symptoms immediately said that my dog probably had closed pyometra, but that the veterinarian would check to make sure it was really that. The veterinarian examined my dog, said that my dog probably had pyometra. She did an X-ray, and it really was closed pyometra. Moreover, the veterinarian had the blood test from the first vet and said that there was an indication on it that showed a small infection. They did surgery on my dog right away because she could have died from it (her uterus could have ruptured). The surgery cost me 600$, consultation + X ray 175, all medication 75$). It was WAY WAY cheaper than vétérinaire de touraine, they didn't do any USELESS AND PRICY tests and they had an IMMEDIATE diagnosis. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH VÃTÃRINAIRE DE TOURAINE. Right now, my dog is doing great. Ne perdez pas de temps et d'argent avec ce vétérinaire. Very accommodating for urgencies. The vet is very calm even in stressful situations. He did surgery on my cat's tail and it was flawless. Even check-ups afterward were free of charge. I would recommand him if you are looking for a good vet; people skills are lacking, but then again, he specializes and makes a living on animals :) The point is: he keeps my animals healthy and that's all I'm asking for :) Read Less
