If I could give this vet’s office 0 stars I would. If you love your pets, do not bring them here. First of all, they are not much cheaper than other places to begin with. You pay a lot of money for poor service and poor expertise. Last year we brought our cat here because she could not breathe. The vet took x-rays and told us she had water around her lungs. The vet drained her of the fluid and said that she would test the fluid to see if it is cancerous or any other sickness. Somehow, they found nothing. She did warn us that this could happen again. A year later, the cat filled up with water around her lungs again. We brought her to get drained, and another inexperienced vet took over my cat’s case. When she stuck the needle in her to drain the fluid, she stuck the needle in too deep. Air was released from the hole - she had punctured my cat’s lung. We did not know how serious this could be and the vet did not seem sure about what was wrong with the cat. After all, she is supposed to be the doctor and we as owners are supposed to rely on vets for their expertise. 5:30 a.m. the next day, my cat was coughing up water and suffocating. She died only moments later. Instead of telling us how in bad of a shape our kitty was, the vet took our money and sent us on our way with a very sick cat. It is not their fault the cat got sick, but I feel as if they did not handle my cat’s situation professionally. I am sure if we brought her somewhere else, she would be alive today. Read Less

I had brought my cat in to be cremated after she had died. First time I called the lady on the phone she had told me it will cost $250 plus taxes. Made sure not to forget to mention that there were taxes included. I'm very low in money so I agreed with my sister to bury my cat. Unfortunately as I was taping up the box, it hit me way too hard and it didn't feel right to bury her somewhere random. So, I spoke to my mother and sister and we decided to split the 250 plus taxes. This came out to a total of 287$! Fine. It's for my cat, a part of my family for 17 years. I brought her to the vet, thinking it was the right thing to do, comforting my younger sister who was crying, telling her this is the right choice. The secretary began to ask if I wanted an urn. I denied because god knows how much that would cost. She had also advised me that my cat will be ready in 10 days. That I can pick up her ashes in 10 days! I had called in 10 days and the lady apologized that it was gonna take a bit longer and she'll call ME. It has now been 20 DAYS! 20 DAYS! And now I'm doubting my choice and wondering more on what they are doing with my cat! Have they cremated her? Or are they fiddling with her body, for study purposes! This cat has been a part of my family. We saved her and she lived a great life! This is not fair! I don't even know at this point if I will recieve the ashes of my cat. Wow... I can't believe I almost didn't give this place a shot because of the other reviews. So pleasantly surprised and we have found our new vet clinic for Irie!! Will definitely be comin back here for all our pet needs. We called first. I asked questions regarding starting a new file fee (0$), consultation fee (65$ per visit), and how many vets they had (3...with a 4th on maternity leave until October). I explained we had heard bad things about the owner lady vet (as per other reviews) and preferred to have a different vet than her: no problem we were told and not the slightest hint of attitude or anything. That was impressive! And a good sign. After discussing and deciding we would take a chance with this place...we called back and got an appointment for within less than an hour with Dr. Teresa Sweet (it seemed like a pretty good omen). The place is close to us, so we had a nice walk over. Entered the super clean, well organized, tiny clinic and were greeted and sat to wait. There's help urself coffee and coloring books for the kiddos. The products are surprisingly decently priced for a vet's clinic. (Ex 63$ for a super quality hypoallergenic large bag of dog chow is totally reasonable!)We were called shortly after our arrival and the technician Isabelle was absolutely fantastic with Irie. She saw Irie was nervous so right away asked us if it was ok to give her a treat...that gained points with both Irie and us! She was friendly and helpful and explained so much to us, helping us feel better that we are not to blame for poor Irie's allergies n ear infection. She also patiently showed us how to clean her ears and made sure we felt comfortable doing it ourselves.Then we met with Dr. Sweet...Irie's new vet. She was just perfect! Young but knowledgeable and so super caring and thorough! She examined Irie with tenderness and was exactly as her name: sweet, the whole time. They had many, many, many opportunities to price gauge us ...but they didn't, not once. They even asked if we wanted to pay for the infectious material to be tested or just blindly give Irie a med which may or may not treat the infection (we obviously paid to have it tested being that Irie is so sensitive to meds!).We'll be back in two weeks for a follow up and are so appreciatively happy to have found these wonderful people to care for our pets!!! Brought my 6 month old Shi-Tzu for an examination because I found some blood in her urine. My first thought was she is in heat but after calling the vet they said it may be an infection because she is too young to be in heat. They told me they can tell right away if she is in heat. If she is not in heat it may be an infection. So obviously I brought her because I was afraid she had an infection. The vet examined her and wasn't sure if she was in heat so she offered a urine test. She took the fog to another room to do the test, we waited 20 min to find out there was no infection. So the vet asked me to get an urine sample at home and bring it to them to analyze the urine. Now am I sure that they did the analysis there when the took the dog to another room and now they will find out if she has an infection with the urine sample that I will bring from home. All this to say that I paid 165.00$ and still don't know if she is in heat or she has an infection. Worst vet ever, I will never go back. They take people for fools. Just a money making business. Tout d'abord mon chien qui avait attrapé les puces alors on est aller consulter et on est reparti avec une facture raisonnable vu les conditions de notre situation. Bref, elle a eu ses médicaments, son examen physique complet et consultation. Voilà qu'il fallait y retourner à peine 1 mois après pour un rappel d'un de ces vaccins qu'on ressort avec une facture de 96$ dont 21$ pour le vaccin et 63$ pour un examen physique complet NOUVEAU!!?? Je ne comprends pas. Tout d'abord je venais juste pour le rappel de vaccin PAS pour le reste et je ressort avec une facture triplement cher. C'est ridicule!! Pourtant on ne m'a jamais avisé qu'une consultation avec le vet devait se faire, il vient vous voir automatiquement donc déjà là c'est 63$. Moi qui croyait que a fesait parti de la routine. When i first took my dogs there 3 years ago, everything was perfect. But then Dr Gaudet "left" the building, then the technicians weren't the same and then the receptionist changed as well. The "old" team that we loved so much all left.I recently took an appointment for my dogs annual vaccine and also to get the Revolution. Come to know that they were only due next year! Why didn't the receptionist told me? I used to live in Verdun but now i have to drive about 20-30 min to get to them... I got there on time and had to wait 30 min before my dogs were seen by a technician. She kept on trying and insisting on having me get all these blood tests, stool samples and so on for me dogs. I was starting to get annoyed. Then the vet came in. Her name, Carine Bourellis. Condescending, judgemental and she made me feel like i was dumb. I told her that they have wasted my time trying to rip me off... Long story short. I've transferred all my dogs files to another vet. It USED to be such a good place. Took dog in for possible early ear infection. With swab and med fees very high. Then they tried to suggest that I have his tartar removed as he was in serious need and extractions if they saw the need would be another few hundred determined while he was under??? at minimum $800 Another opinion elsewhere...a bit of tartar clean them regularly. Imagine my 5 year old dog with tooth extractions (who knows where that would have gone) for the rest of his life. Well it appears that I prefer the other opinion. This place is a major rip off . They had me their for 2 hours to get a check up for my dog and they don't tell you before they charge your with something they tried to charge me 65$ for swobbing my dogs ears to see if she had something didn't tell me the price then they found out she had nothing wrong with her ears so they charged me 35$ when they never told me that it's 65$ charge . They've tried to put my dog on diet that was 170$ For big bag of food that I could ONLY get their , not to mention they attempted the same exact stunt on my friend they tried to put her cat on a medication she had to take constantly she payed over hundreds and in the end she didn't need to just like I don't need to put my dog on a 170$ type of dog food . Cependant, Véronique et son assistante (je suis vraiment désolée, je ne me souviens plus de son nom) ont été merveilleuses! Très gentilles et patientes avec notre chat qui a mauvais caractère, explications complètes et aucune pression en jouant sur notre amour envers nos chats afin de nous soutirer de l'argent! Dans cette clinique, les techniciennes ne semblent pas tre avares de mots. This lady Caroline made my day yesteday only by telling me how to do with my cat that gave me back hope.
