We drove 1.5 hour from Montreal and back on several occassions for our cocker spaniel mix dog Otis Redding "Oats" to have his operations for his cherry eye, neutering and his micro-chipping.
For Oat's cherry eye, we had received an estimate of $1000 for 1 eye (but they recommended doing both eyes at the same time even though the second eye didn't have anything) from a Brossard vet. He's 2.5 years old now, and his other eye never had a problem so we would have wasted our money having had surgery for his 2nd healthy eye if we had listened to the this vet. We were in shock when we received the estimate because the national average from online research was so much lower. Therefore, we asked Ormstown for a quote. For about HALF the price, we were able to do his cherry eye surgery at Ormstown and they didn't recommend surgery on both eyes.
I felt that Ormstown's recommendations were honest, prices were reasonable, and doctors & staff cared about the well-being of my pet.
I wouldn't even think twice about doing it again and recommending others to go there. It is absolutely worth the drive. I chose to have every major surgery there rather than vets in Montreal because the quality of service that we received. Read Less
