I called this afternoon, concerned that my cat of 22yrs. had problems voiding her bowels.I mentioned that she was swollen, was throwing up occasionally. Asked if there was a laxative I could buy, she told me only by prescription by a vet, by consultation from a vet.Since I couldn't come today, as I had to work until 10pm., I asked her if there was anything I could do until I could make an appointement. She told me that, no, had to consult and see a vet.She didn't tell me about the other options, such as Vaseline, Hairball Paste.When I asked if there was a high -fiber food for cats, she told me ,"no, only by prescription from a vet".I know that this is false, that you don't need a prescription from a vet to buy a high-fiber cat food.I repeatedly asked her if there was anything I can do for my cat until I brought her in for a consultation.She told me ,"no,", have to see the Doctor.Not impressed by the uncaring and unhelpful person who answered the phone today, when I called at 3:00pm.March 13,2016, who, by the way, didn't answer the phone until I was put on hold, by an answering machine, for ten minutes.Will take my cat elsewhere.
IT WAS NOT A WEEK AGO, IT WAS A YEAR AGO, AND MY CAT HAS SEEN DIED UNDER THEIR CARE.Had no other choice but to go to them, since no other vet was open later.
They made me sign a waiver for $800 , I left my cat overnight, as they told me she was too dehydrated, they couldn't draw blood, she would be giving fluids intravenously overnight, and they would draw blood for tests the next day.I called them the next day, they told me that nothing had been done, they had tried to call me and were waiting for me to tell them what to do.What? The plan was to draw blood from her the next day, take blood tests.Over $100.00 per day, and they hadn't done anything yet?
In the end, my cat died, needlessly. Was given wrong medication, had to wait almost a week for the right meds, was charged for 3 cases of cat food, instead of 3 cans, was given a painkiller that is toxic for cats with renal failure, (which my cat had).My beautiful Moka DIED because of this clinic.
I'm still receiving bills in the mail from this clinic, stating that I owe them $300 .I paid them $1,100. and they will not receive one penny more.Come on, unnecessary tests, like cancer tests, for a cat who is 23yrs?
They pray on you when you're vulnerable.
