Yesterday, I went to buy my dogs favorite treats. I was shocked at the price and thought there must have been an error. I bought the treats only two weeks ago from Timberlea Vet and paid $31. AccesVet wanted $45!!!! Beyond shocking. Then, out of curiousity, I asked how much my dogs medication would cost per month. Again, Timberlea charged me $280 wile AccesVet wanted $430. Nail clipping $24????? What is going on??? These prices are shockingly high. I called a few other vets and could not find a more expensive vet...anywhere on the Montreal island. How disappointing.

I visited their clinic few months back to havr my furbaby checked since he was not eating normally, and onr of their doctors, Dr. Tania Lefebvre didn't seem to know what she was doing and it felt that she was out of her mind. She prescribed an antibiotic to my dog which almost cost my dog's life. I will never ever again go to that clinic.

J'ai toutefois hésité entre 3 et 4 étoiles car lors des discussions avec les techniciens, nous sentons une certaine "vente à pression" de plusieurs services "extra". J'ai dû répéter à 3 occasions que je ne ferais pas micropucer mon chien pendant la sterilisation car elle était déjà micropucée... ... J'ai aussi dit non à la coupe de griffe car elle venait de se les faire couper et on m'a dit "d'accord je vais metre une note de voir au besoin".... NON... ses griffes ont été coupées il y a 3-4 jours. See More

Just had my dog sterilised. Service was courteous. Punctual. Cost was very reasonable and a followup appointment (due to my worrying for nothing) wasn't charged to me. Also received two calls at home to check how my Charlie was doing. Very very impressive. And he healed very quickly with no down time.

The staff is very nice and caring, but might not be the best choice for diagnosis. I went to see them about three times with a new kitten who has a few issues and they didn't realize he had rhino (they didn't check his eye and its discharge at first even though I said he had been keeping it closed and cleaning it often) until the third visit. I came back, seeing as my kitten's eyes were getting worse, and since I had just come by a few days before with the same symptoms, they didn't charge me for that last visit. Because the fault was their own, which happens, and I commend them for admitting that. They're good people and they offer kitten food that is way better than what I found in stores, but it's odd that it took them so long to diagnose what is essentially a common cat cold. Now, this is only with one vet, your experience might be different. However, If you feel like something is still wrong with your pet, you're probably right and should get a second opinion or come back until there is a conclusive answer.
The staff made sure to teach me how to do basic care (nail trimming and ear cleaning) and always applied medications for my kitten in front of me so that I could do it at home without any problem. As for the promotions, I didn't feel like they were trying hard to sell me anything as other reviews say. They had good coupons for new owners and people will probably buy the vet products that are already there out of convenience.

if your pet has a problem, i would definitely not recommend this place, unless you want them to die, that is. my dog was constantly wanting to pee, yet nothing was coming out. this vet gave us 400$ antibiotics that did absolutely nothing. so, we decided to go to bakers animal hospital (which i recommend) and immediately the vet did a urine test and turns out my dog had bladder stones. ->if we continued with this vet, my dog would have died.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! I paid for my dog to be hospitalised there for 4 nights to get IV fluids and they did not even inform me that one night they did not give her enough IV fluids for the night. I only found out later from a friend who read her file.
If it weren;t for my friend who happened to have studied in Vetenary I would not have known.
I gave my complete trust to the people who work there and gave them so much confidence thinking that was their job and they know what they are doing.... but I was deceived. HORRIBLE experience.
In the end, I never made a complaint only cause I did not want to add to the stress I already had with my dog passing away, BUT I thought I should write a review here to let people know what I've been through with them .

The environment was excessively nice, and when I saw my bill, I wondered how much of that went towards the nespresso machine and nice decor in the waiting room, as opposed to animal care. The vet was ok, nothing impressive, nothing that bothered me much. I decided to switch to a wonderful vet that does housecalls. When I called Acces Vet to send me a copy of the file, it was very difficult to reach someone. When I finally did, it was the day of my appointment with a new vet, and they wouldn't release the records without their vet's consent. Of course I only received the file the next morning, after my appointment with the new vet. In comparison, the vet that has the file for my 1st dog sent me the file during my phone call requesting it. Not impressed with the service or rates at Acces Vet!

Mon chat a eu un blocage urinaire à cause de cristaux coincés l'urètre... Nous sommes allé en urgence chez Accès Vet pour la première fois et je dois dire que l'équipe de Décarie en particulier est absolument excellente!! En gros notre petit minou était à environ une demi-journée de ne pas survivre, et tout a été fait à merveille pour le sauver. Après une petite intervention (radiographies, prise de sang, pose d'un cathéter, fluides intra-véneux) et 3 nuits d'hospitalisation (dans une belle grande cage avec ses fluides intra-véneux) nous l'avons récupéré, toujours un peu sous le choc mais vivant! Après quelques jours sous médications (antibiotiques, vaso-dilatateurs et anti-douleurs) il a retrouvé toute sa forme. Le suivi aussi a été excellent, les techniciens ainsi que le vet ont fait preuve d'un professionalisme, d'une compétence et d'une empathie sans pareils. DE VRAIS PASSIONNS!!! On tient à remercier mille fois, les réceptionnistes, les techniciennes (Jessica et Bao pour les nommer mais aussi toutes celles et ceux qui se sont occupés de notre chat) et Dr Vézina pour ses compétences, ses connaissances scientifiques et sa sympathie! Je recommande vivement cette clinique après en avoir expérimenté 2 autres à Montréal qui ne m'ont pas convaincues.

Acces Vet Ville Saint Laurent - My dog suffers from chronic ear infections and after having gone for a checkup I was given two bottles of medicine for his ear that was to expire within the month. When I called that same day to explain they kept tossing me around to different people avoiding the subject all together and I was told there was a note for me to be called back on my file and given a new bottle, but I work from home and had never received a call. I even went to the clinic myself yesterday with the unopened bottle requesting an exchange, not a discount on my next service or a discount on the bottle, I was told that whoever was responsible was not there. They even went so far as to say that I had misunderstood because I was an immigrant. So today, once again I called and was tossed around and promised a call back to discuss the simple exchange of an expired product. It's a little odd to see that a business would rather lose a customer than simply exchange an expired product, without even telling or showing me the expiry date in hopes that I would not notice. Bottom line, for all people looking for a vet I would not recommend them. My previous vet in another borough would never act in this manner for obvious reasons. I will definitely not be coming back here and would rather drive a half hour to see another doctor and staff. Also keep in mind that all 5 star reviews are from employees.

Just had my dog sterilised. Service was courteous. Punctual. Cost was very reasonable and a followup appointment (due to my worrying for nothing) wasn't charged to me. Also received two calls at home to check how my Charlie was doing. Very very impressive. And he healed very quickly with no down time.

The staff is very nice and caring, but might not be the best choice for diagnosis. I went to see them about three times with a new kitten who has a few issues and they didn't realize he had rhino (they didn't check his eye and its discharge at first even though I said he had been keeping it closed and cleaning it often) until the third visit. I came back, seeing as my kitten's eyes were getting worse, and since I had just come by a few days before with the same symptoms, they didn't charge me for that last visit. Because the fault was their own, which happens, and I commend them for admitting that. They're good people and they offer kitten food that is way better than what I found in stores, but it's odd that it took them so long to diagnose what is essentially a common cat cold. Now, this is only with one vet, your experience might be different. However, If you feel like something is still wrong with your pet, you're probably right and should get a second opinion or come back until there is a conclusive answer.
The staff made sure to teach me how to do basic care (nail trimming and ear cleaning) and always applied medications for my kitten in front of me so that I could do it at home without any problem. As for the promotions, I didn't feel like they were trying hard to sell me anything as other reviews say. They had good coupons for new owners and people will probably buy the vet products that are already there out of convenience.

if your pet has a problem, i would definitely not recommend this place, unless you want them to die, that is. my dog was constantly wanting to pee, yet nothing was coming out. this vet gave us 400$ antibiotics that did absolutely nothing. so, we decided to go to bakers animal hospital (which i recommend) and immediately the vet did a urine test and turns out my dog had bladder stones. ->if we continued with this vet, my dog would have died.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! I paid for my dog to be hospitalised there for 4 nights to get IV fluids and they did not even inform me that one night they did not give her enough IV fluids for the night. I only found out later from a friend who read her file.
If it weren;t for my friend who happened to have studied in Vetenary I would not have known.
I gave my complete trust to the people who work there and gave them so much confidence thinking that was their job and they know what they are doing.... but I was deceived. HORRIBLE experience.
In the end, I never made a complaint only cause I did not want to add to the stress I already had with my dog passing away, BUT I thought I should write a review here to let people know what I've been through with them .

The environment was excessively nice, and when I saw my bill, I wondered how much of that went towards the nespresso machine and nice decor in the waiting room, as opposed to animal care. The vet was ok, nothing impressive, nothing that bothered me much. I decided to switch to a wonderful vet that does housecalls. When I called Acces Vet to send me a copy of the file, it was very difficult to reach someone. When I finally did, it was the day of my appointment with a new vet, and they wouldn't release the records without their vet's consent. Of course I only received the file the next morning, after my appointment with the new vet. In comparison, the vet that has the file for my 1st dog sent me the file during my phone call requesting it. Not impressed with the service or rates at Acces Vet!

Mon chat a eu un blocage urinaire à cause de cristaux coincés l'urètre... Nous sommes allé en urgence chez Accès Vet pour la première fois et je dois dire que l'équipe de Décarie en particulier est absolument excellente!! En gros notre petit minou était à environ une demi-journée de ne pas survivre, et tout a été fait à merveille pour le sauver. Après une petite intervention (radiographies, prise de sang, pose d'un cathéter, fluides intra-véneux) et 3 nuits d'hospitalisation (dans une belle grande cage avec ses fluides intra-véneux) nous l'avons récupéré, toujours un peu sous le choc mais vivant! Après quelques jours sous médications (antibiotiques, vaso-dilatateurs et anti-douleurs) il a retrouvé toute sa forme. Le suivi aussi a été excellent, les techniciens ainsi que le vet ont fait preuve d'un professionalisme, d'une compétence et d'une empathie sans pareils. DE VRAIS PASSIONNS!!! On tient à remercier mille fois, les réceptionnistes, les techniciennes (Jessica et Bao pour les nommer mais aussi toutes celles et ceux qui se sont occupés de notre chat) et Dr Vézina pour ses compétences, ses connaissances scientifiques et sa sympathie! Je recommande vivement cette clinique après en avoir expérimenté 2 autres à Montréal qui ne m'ont pas convaincues.

Acces Vet Ville Saint Laurent - My dog suffers from chronic ear infections and after having gone for a checkup I was given two bottles of medicine for his ear that was to expire within the month. When I called that same day to explain they kept tossing me around to different people avoiding the subject all together and I was told there was a note for me to be called back on my file and given a new bottle, but I work from home and had never received a call. I even went to the clinic myself yesterday with the unopened bottle requesting an exchange, not a discount on my next service or a discount on the bottle, I was told that whoever was responsible was not there. They even went so far as to say that I had misunderstood because I was an immigrant. So today, once again I called and was tossed around and promised a call back to discuss the simple exchange of an expired product. It's a little odd to see that a business would rather lose a customer than simply exchange an expired product, without even telling or showing me the expiry date in hopes that I would not notice. Bottom line, for all people looking for a vet I would not recommend them. My previous vet in another borough would never act in this manner for obvious reasons. I will definitely not be coming back here and would rather drive a half hour to see another doctor and staff. Also keep in mind that all 5 star reviews are from employees.
