called this clinic, they gave us an appointment for the next day, 18 hours later. The appointment was on a Friday, of a long weekend, during the start up of covid. We brought our cat in, who was near non responsive at this point. It was confirmed that he had a blockage and needed to be treated immediately. They were unable to treat him due to no staff and the long weekend. They referred me to the DMV emergency vet.
DMV told us our cat could have died if he went any longer untreated. His bladder was near exploding. They had nothing good to say about Cote saint luc vet. And they indicated that our cat should have been referred to emergency right away on our first call.
It took 8 days and 4000$ to bring our cat back. Would it have been less time and money if I didnt wait 18 hours after the cat started showing signs of discomfort!?! Yes. Cote saint luc vet even tried to send me a bill of 90$. Stating over the phone that I had to pay their vet for the assessment. I had to pay 170$ for the assessment at emergency, even though this clinic did it already.
Stay away from these scam artists. This is a perfect example of a vet clinic out to take you for every dollar they can. They don't show care for animals. Not professional. Read Less

This place is the epitome of everything racist in Quebec. If you are a white person they will serve and treat you like a royalty. We went here today and had an appointment for 11 am. We arrived at 11 and call the reception and was told to wait outside while they are opening a file for one of our dogs. We were at the door when we were asked to step aside because a white customer arrived and needed to picked up medicine which is fine that she gets to be served first since she was only picking up medication.
We ended up waiting for an hour outside so we called again and was told we are late (the lady never mention that they will not see us anymore and let us wait outside for few more minutes) and then something distasteful happened, a white couple arrived in their fancy car and they did not only get to be served first the employee actually went outside to assist them ( a courtesy that was not able give us) and bring the couple’s dog inside first. I would have tolerated it if it was only me waiting but we had our two dogs with us and they were getting overheated waiting outside.
This place is utterly repugnant. It treated as a a second class citizen so If you are a person of colour avoid this place at all cost for the sake of both your dignity and your pets well-being but if you are white by all means go to this place because you will be treated like royal and they will cater to your every whims. Côte-Saint-Luc Hospital for animals did not offer any solutions for care when I had an emergency with my cat. I called and came into the store with my cat and the receptionist refused to even look at the cat or call a doctor or a technician to help. Charged me $40 for nail clipping on my tiny tea cup dog and missed the thumbs on top of that! $5 PER NAILS!! would of been cheaper to take her at a high-end human nail salon for that price!!!!! ALL of them started with corn meal or meat meal, NEVER with actual real ingredients such as 'chicken', how is that 'better' for my dog??!!. I've been to this clinic before with my cat and felt that I was being screwed financially, even if you mention that you don't have the funds they don't care! My elderly cat has had to be put down and I called our vet which is an awesome vet that I've been going to for a few years now...the NDG animal hospital on Sherbrooke. I have 4 rescue animals and they don't try to screw you. So I made an appointment at my vet for my baby to be put down, they could give me an appointment in 2 hrs...my son insisted I should try the cote st luc hospital because it was closer and my baby gets terrified in the car. What a big mistake, I explained he has kidney problems and he hasn't eaten, drank or peed in 24 hrs. Has no movement and I actually had to check if he was breathing when I woke up. I knew it was time They told me that my cat hasn't been there in about 5 yrs (yes because I switched vets after they screwed me out of money) and that first they would do an examination of my baby which would cost me $62 and then see what test could be ran...seriously he is on deaths door and you think I've made this decision lightly.... So all they wanted was money...I can't believe it...I should've not even called, considering I had been crying for 2 hours and they are concerned want money!I will never ever recommend this vet, go to the ndg animal hospital!
