I've recently switched to here from another vet. The staff was much more friendly and knowledgeable than the two other clinics my pup has seen regularly and two others in out of town emergencies. The vet was able to explain things to make me comfortable and was proactive in finding the best approach and timing that was best for my dog but also worked for the family finances. I usually walk out of a vet upset over a large estimate, this time, I was confident and happy for the first time ever despite the price tag.

Friendly staff and knowledgeable doctors. They are willing to discuss a variety of treatments so you can find the right fit for your pet. The doctors don't push you into anything that makes you (or your pet) uncomfortable either. They aren't the cheapest in town but they are worth every penny.

When I first went I thought the prices were pretty high but then realized that you get what you pay for. They are great people and don't push unnecessary tests. I had to put down our cat and they took their time with it and were very comforting. I was a big cry baby. When I thought that was it we later received a sympathy card and then later we received a letter from a UofS saying how they received a donation from the clinic in honour of our cat.

Lakewood has been amazing, and Dr Sthamann had been the reason that I got to spend extra years with my little dog, chichi, who passed away of cancer last week (at 16, instead of 11 thanks to her). I couldn't thank this clinic enough for the gentle way that they handed my very very sad day, and for the sympathy they showed which was so clearly genuine. Highly recommend.

Would like to thank Dr. Powers for his exceptional care and sincere concern for Shelby. He just called and spoke to Tammy and I. He explained what to expect from her upcoming surgery and more importantly was able to assure us Shelby will respond well. It was something we needed to hear! He's called us a number of times to check in and see how she's doing over the last four weeks. He's a skilled doctor, who truly cares about his patients and their people. We would recommend him and Lakewood Animal Hospital to any friends with a pet in need.

I walked into this clinic with my puppy without making an appointment since I was from out of town and was concerned about her well-being. They made time for us, and were super friendly and informative. Every moment spent here was perfect for a stressed out, new "puppy-parent". Each employee here clearly loves animals and loves their jobs. The veterinarian that I saw was very calming, patient and helpful. The best part about this was that since I adopted my puppy from a shelter, the appointment fee was waived! I highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone in the Northern Regina area.

It was suggested by a friend I take my Tony in after his TPLO surgery. I wanted to be sure he didn't hurt his other knee in the process. Best decision I could have made for Tony! Everyone is extremely kind and helpfull. The rehab appointments are long and they spend so much time with your dog. I've learned so much and the staff makes sure to send you home with more than enough information! I will continue to bring Tony in for all his care in the future.

We had a scare and we're waiting to hear on the test results of our new puppy's Mama who died unexpectedly. With rabies being the main concern Naomi and a few other girls there made this whole nightmare more bearable. They were kind, supportive, and answered all my questions the best that they could. While visiting Regina we had to take our shorkie in late one evening. We have never experienced such kindness and complete care for one of our animals. We were also pleased when we received a follow up call several days after we returned home to see how his medication was working and how he was feeling. We loved the staff and care for Sam and would not hesitate to take the long drive to return to Lakewood for his follow up care and future care for all our animals.

The staff wholeheartedly care about the pets they treat! My Boston suffers from seizures and Dr.Cross discussed ALL of the treatment options with us so we could make an informed decision on the path we wanted to take. We decided to try acupuncture and the treatment has reduced her seizures from at least once per week to now only every 3-6 months. Since seizures happen at random it is difficult to just book an appointment for treatments but Dr. Cross always seems to find time in her schedule to treat Rockie when she has an episode.

Our now deceased dog, Bruiser, was really helped out by doctor Tara Hudye, Bsc, DVM, CCRP... She helped him with physio and the water treadmill. I think his quality of life was made much better in the last year of his life. They also assisted with his nutrition and advice. Most importantly, we felt the empathy and could see the concern and affection for our dog. Unfortunately our sweetie passed away from a rare disease called Degenerative Myelopathy. Thank you Tara, we will never forget the support you and your technicians/team provided. We also had digestive health issues with our Frenchie, Sasha. Both Dr. Don Powers and Dr. Jenny Skific helped us out with her. Dr. Skific tried many treatments, even experimental ones, and we were extremely happy and relieved that now Sasha is enjoying life again! Who knew that it all seemed to come down to the fact that our Frenchie can't eat ANY protein from the continent of North America! She is on a strict meal of Kangaroo meat. So thank you very much for helping us figure out what was going on with our poor pooch. I would totally recommend anyone and their dog(s) or other non-human family member(s) to go to Lakeview Animal Hospital. We have a new puppy and we're bringing him, too! Love you guys! <3

He explained what to expect from her upcoming surgery and more importantly was able to assure us Shelby will respond well. It was something we needed to hear! He's called us a number of times to check in and see how she's doing over the last four weeks. He's a skilled doctor, who truly cares about his patients and their people. We would recommend him and Lakewood Animal Hospital to any friends with a pet in need.

I walked into this clinic with my puppy without making an appointment since I was from out of town and was concerned about her well-being. They made time for us, and were super friendly and informative. Every moment spent here was perfect for a stressed out, new "puppy-parent". Each employee here clearly loves animals and loves their jobs. The veterinarian that I saw was very calming, patient and helpful. The best part about this was that since I adopted my puppy from a shelter, the appointment fee was waived! I highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone in the Northern Regina area.

It was suggested by a friend I take my Tony in after his TPLO surgery. I wanted to be sure he didn't hurt his other knee in the process. Best decision I could have made for Tony! Everyone is extremely kind and helpfull. The rehab appointments are long and they spend so much time with your dog. I've learned so much and the staff makes sure to send you home with more than enough information! I will continue to bring Tony in for all his care in the future.

We had a scare and we're waiting to hear on the test results of our new puppy's Mama who died unexpectedly. With rabies being the main concern Naomi and a few other girls there made this whole nightmare more bearable. They were kind, supportive, and answered all my questions the best that they could. While visiting Regina we had to take our shorkie in late one evening. We have never experienced such kindness and complete care for one of our animals. We were also pleased when we received a follow up call several days after we returned home to see how his medication was working and how he was feeling. We loved the staff and care for Sam and would not hesitate to take the long drive to return to Lakewood for his follow up care and future care for all our animals.

The staff wholeheartedly care about the pets they treat! My Boston suffers from seizures and Dr.Cross discussed ALL of the treatment options with us so we could make an informed decision on the path we wanted to take. We decided to try acupuncture and the treatment has reduced her seizures from at least once per week to now only every 3-6 months. Since seizures happen at random it is difficult to just book an appointment for treatments but Dr. Cross always seems to find time in her schedule to treat Rockie when she has an episode.

Our now deceased dog, Bruiser, was really helped out by doctor Tara Hudye, Bsc, DVM, CCRP... She helped him with physio and the water treadmill. I think his quality of life was made much better in the last year of his life. They also assisted with his nutrition and advice. Most importantly, we felt the empathy and could see the concern and affection for our dog. Unfortunately our sweetie passed away from a rare disease called Degenerative Myelopathy. Thank you Tara, we will never forget the support you and your technicians/team provided. We also had digestive health issues with our Frenchie, Sasha. Both Dr. Don Powers and Dr. Jenny Skific helped us out with her. Dr. Skific tried many treatments, even experimental ones, and we were extremely happy and relieved that now Sasha is enjoying life again! Who knew that it all seemed to come down to the fact that our Frenchie can't eat ANY protein from the continent of North America! She is on a strict meal of Kangaroo meat. So thank you very much for helping us figure out what was going on with our poor pooch. I would totally recommend anyone and their dog(s) or other non-human family member(s) to go to Lakeview Animal Hospital. We have a new puppy and we're bringing him, too! Love you guys! <3
