Regent Park Animal Hospital

Regina, Saskatchewan
General Info
Regent Park Animal Hospital, located in Regina, provides pet owners with a modern approach to their beloved animals’ healthcare. Regent Park Animal Hospital is a well-established name in the Regina community and a trusted resource for pet lovers who need a veterinarian’s services. Pet owners from neighboring towns can access consistent veterinary services because the clinic is located in Saskatchewan. Depending on the case, services may include routine checkups, pet vaccinations, early disease screenings and diagnostic consultations. Regent Park Animal Hospital is a facility that exudes calmness and order, which means that both the pet owners and the animals will not be stressed. The veterinary team, which is based in Regina, handles various medical needs the pets have including skin and coat problems, dental issues as well as mobility-related disorders. The clinic routinely hosts wellness visits and preventative plans but can also tackle urgent issues such as infections and digestive alterations. Regent Park Animal Hospital is a pillar of support for Saskatchewan families as they navigate challenging diagnoses and long-term management of their senior pets. They describe the way information is presented by the clinic as kind, simple, and clear. Pet owners benefit from the additional sense of assurance they derive regarding their choices for their animals. A lot of customers stay with the company for many years, which enhances service due to long-term cooperation. Thanks to this knowledge, the team can assist in planning for long-term care. The clinic's active participation in the local pet community promotes responsible pet ownership and dedicated animal care. The province of Saskatchewan continues to be a viable option for veterinarians with established practices that provide both standard and emergency animal care services. Regina residents and those living around the Saskatchewan region tend to appreciate the existence of Regent Park Animal Hospital as a nearby clinic. There is always a need to offer clear and compassionate veterinary services both for new pet owners who seek guidance, and long-term clients who have special needs to manage their pets’ conditions. The council needs to play this significant role for the better of society. Routine and advanced treatments like Emergency Care and Livestock/Farm Animal Care are dealt with in the facility. Whether it’s a young pup or an older pet experiencing chronic issues, Regent Park Animal Hospital continues to assist families all over Regina.

completely missed stitching the bottom paw when I brought my dog in after a brick fell onto her paw and crushed it completely. Switched the side finger, forgot to stitch the paw pad and just wrapped it up. Then when I brought her in after removing the bandage to clean and addressed my concerns I got escorted out and completely insulted and talked to very inappropriately and unprofessionally. Now my dog's paw pad is healed split and I have to go to a new vet for them to cut and restitch the bottom of her paw back together. He refused to correct it or to do anything or to remove the stitches in the future told me I have to go elsewhere because I questioned his professionalism and didn't make him happy. I was repeatedly insulted after the fact until I was walked out. I do not recommend going here if you have any serious injuries for your pets he will only half-assed do the work and charge you out the butthole. Read Less

Been going here for years, and last week my dog brutally injured her paw resulting in multiple stitch areas, fortunately no broken bones. After removing the bandaging to clean her paw I noticed her bottom paw pad was not stitched and opened...My main concern was if her pawpad would get ripped off during physical activity in the future so I reached out asking if it was something that was missed knowing last week as an emergency& we came right before close and it was a rushed procedure.Today I went in this morning, just to double check what the issue with her bottom paw pad was, after comparing photos with Dr Paul he said that the split happen from under the paw and that is why his picture did not have the split in it, which was fine not once did I insult him or say it was his fault I asked a question if it was a concern, or if it possibly been missed since I never saw these photos and I had to wait in the parking lot due to covid restrictions. I never once got to see what was done or what was stitched only took her home bandaged up and drugged up. Dr Paul aggressively insulted me for how I approached him which was not rude at all it was simply asking a question because I am concerned about my puppy and I know it was a rushed last minute procedure the day of. He continued to make jabs at me throughout my whole visit& when he grabbed her paw to show me the split and stitches area he aggressively grabbed it causing her to scream and as I got worried and tried to calm her down because he was hurting her he said that she will be in pain for a month anyways.. There was a lady assisting as well which was nice she said that the part open on her paw pad had to be clipped off, so she asked Dr Paul if he would clip it off before rebandaging her up since her stitches still don't need to come out for another week& he said no it's not his problem and to leave it.He was hurting her while bandaging her up very aggressively and the lady asked because she saw it was making me uncomfortable if I wanted to step outside the room and Dr Paul replied with "no have her stand here and watch since my first mistake was having her wait in the parking lot not actually watch us stitch the paw back together"He continued to say uncomfortable things to me, such as " I already stayed past close to fix her paw so I should be greatful he did so" I felt very emotional and insulted the whole visit, he kept saying how he no longer wanted to deal with me and he would happily transfer my files elsewhere. I asked if the stitches were dissolvable or if they needed to be removed he said they needed to be removed& I can find a different vet to do so. I felt very embarrassed of how I got yelled at in front of people for asking a simple question due to my dog's health.. I in no means try to insult or put blame on Dr Paul for the unstitched area or injury I was simply asking a question to ensure the well-being of her future walking, running &playing on her paw again. I have found a new vet this afternoon to stich the paw & take the stitches out. I will not be going back here considering how he insulted me said very rude things and made me stand there to watch him aggressively put on bandages on my dog while she was screaming and yelping. This was very unprofessional behavior and coming from a very professional workplace background I don't think anyone deserves to go through the same thing, everyone deserves to be concerned about their pet without backlash of the vet getting defensive and escorting them out of the clinic and told that they are no longer welcome &that he does not want to deal with them anymore. clear that he does not deal with conflict very well and his result is to kick them out and make them go elsewhere. so if you do not have an issue with your pet or question you should be fine here but if you ever question him be prepared to get screamed at and escorted out. A complaint has been made with higher up as well. & as I see from other current google reviews Dr Paul will reply back with something rude and defensive as he has on other complaints. Read Less

My baby Boston developed the nasty case of kennel cough that was going around. My regular vet, a popular one on the way to Regina Beach, informed me the earliest appointment would be 6 weeks away in mid November. Regent Park, recognizing that a case of kennel cough really shouldn't wait, was able to see my Boston that afternoon with very flexible appointment times. There was an exam required, of course, before any medication could be prescribed. His esophagus was getting inflamed with the coughing so antibiotics were prescribed to help prevent the chance of pneumonia setting in. Exam and 2 kinds of antibiotics...120$...that was awesome!!! Then I get a call 3 days later asking how he is. Awesome again!! Thanks for taking care of my little guy!! Read Less
