I go here to buy urinary cat food for my cat who gets urinary blockages. They always have a case of the wet cat food available, but it's in high demand so I'm usually not able to get 2 cases in one visit. The ladies at the desk are friendly, and the resident cats are so cuddly and pleasant to be around!

2 weeks ago we had the difficult decision to put down our 14 year old dog. It was a very hard and emotional time for us. Doctor Griebel was an excellent example of a vet that was professional but compassionate. She even sent us a card in the mail with her heartfelt condolences. They even included in the card, paw prints as a special keepsake. I so appreciate the care that was given to our puppy and our family at this clinic.

We've always had amazing treatment and service for our little Angel here. We've stayed with them even though they're on the opposite side of the city from us now. Both vets are very caring and make the visits comfortable for our dog even when she's scared and being difficult. The techs are always helpful and caring.

Dr Griebel is excellent. I felt she was very patient, not rushed, very thorough, compassionate and caring. She made sure to explain everything she was doing or going to do. Made my pets, especially my scardie cat to be calm and reassured by her gentle handling of him. The office staff is very friendly and kind as well. I liked that they called a few days later to find out how my pet was doing. I wish I could be able to give the clinic a 5 star instead of a 4 but to be honest I did not feel as comfortable with Dr. Nelson. I felt he was rushed even though I didn't see any other patients waiting. Didn't think he was thorough or maybe thought he wasn't since he was doing it so quickly not explaining much. Felt my pets weren't very comfortable by his handling. But please don't give up on this clinic, maybe just a bad day with him. I just make sure when I take my pets, all three, to go with Dr Griebel since we felt more comfortable with her.

Pricing is pretty on par with other clinics around the city. But when it comes to my fur babies health and safety, that is a non issue. Remember people, this is health care! If you get a pet, take that into consideration first. My snoopy is a 14yr old basset and had to get all of his teeth pulled. This is the ONLY place I would trust with my babies lives. He is doing better than ever! The staff know their stuff here

I highly, HIGHLY recommend Lawson Heights Animal Hospital!! Both doctors are extremely knowledgable, very caring, and I trust them absolutely and wholeheartedly with the health of all my pets. (I've had 2 hamsters and 2 dogs.) I've been taking my pets to Dr.Griebel since 1990 and followed her to her new practice in Lawson. I've seen Dr. Nelson many times over the years and he's awesome too! Both my Golden Retrievers loved going to the vet because they were treated so well by them all! Not only did the Doctors and staff care about my cherished and much loved pets and understood how important they were to me, they also cared about me too. And as I faced many heartbreaking health problems with both dogs, with Dr. Griebel, Dr. Nelson and their wonderful staff at my side, I knew and trusted that my pets would get the very best care possible, and that everything that could be done, was done, and that they gave it their absolute all. So as I consider another pet (it's been MANY years), I was so happy and relieved that Dr. Griebel and Dr. Nelson are still practicing. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Wow! I don't usually do posts, but after looking at the overall rating listed on this site (while looking for the company's phone number) I had to add my two bits.
First off, I have never dealt with Dr. Nelson, so there is nothing I can say to that. However, I have trusted Dr. Elizabeth Griebel with the care of my animals for almost 20 years and as half of this company's business (and therefore it's rating) is attributed to her, I feel I need to say that she deserves a much better rating than 3 stars. She is the most sympathetic, understanding, and competent veterinarian you could ever wish for. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to entrust with the care of their furry loved ones.

I used to go to this clinic with my old dog. I was never really happy with the male vet. he seemed very rushed and it didn't feel like he really gave my sick puppy the attention and care he required. I'd give this clinic .5 of a star for his performance.
However, the female vet is fantastic. She is loving and sweet and recommends the best course of treatment and what is possible in my current income bracket. I highly recommend her over any other vet in the city! She's the best! 5 stars for that awesome vet!

We've always had amazing treatment and service for our little Angel here. We've stayed with them even though they're on the opposite side of the city from us now.
