Love this place. Bringing my pet here I always come across other friendly people and their adorable animals big and small. Water and snacks are provided for animals which I feel it's adorable and great to help ease nerves for you and pet. Staff are very friendly and clear. Fantastic place and my dog had to have surgery on her ears the way she was looked after was second to none. The staff could not do enough to reassure me following her surgery. The vet who preformed the surgery phoned me just after the surgery to let me know how things went, this was such a personal touch.Read Less

Appalling. I rang their out of hours service last night. The man that answered was rude and abrupt and after hissing some questions he eventually asked who my normal vet was. I said the vet in Cobh just because that was where my dog had been to most recently and he snapped "we can't be getting involved in that!". The vet in Cobh was being covered for by a vet in Blarney and as he had just gone out and I had been to Midleton vet before I rang them. But the man that answered was horrible and had absolutely no desire to help my dog who was howling in pain. Read Less

We found a poor dog who was knocked down sat night 4th Feb 2017 in Cork city and Midleton vets clinic was the only clinic who responded to our call (despite some claiming they were 24 hour opening!!). I cannot praise enough the vet who came along at 2am - I can't recall his name unfortunately - and basically saved the dogs life!. Owners were found on the Sunday so happy outcome thankfully. I have brought all our pets to the Knockgriffin Veterinary Clinic for probably at least 12 years and up until recently would have been among those leaving a five star review. I waited a while before writing this as I didn't want to do it in anger. On the Sunday before Christmas our 7 month old kitten Smokey broke her leg badly ( we don't know how ). Her leg was completely distorted and the skin was broken. After no response to the emergency number, in desperation I drove to the clinic and was grateful to find someone there. The vet gave her an injection for pain and said she'd admit her and phone me that night or first thing in the morning. I got no phonecall that night or in the morning and as I had to go to Cork decided to pop in on my way to see how she was doing. I was taken into a room and told "sorry your cat died during the night". To say I was shocked is putting it mildly. Smokey was brought in to me and was as we had left her. She still felt warm. I was told she had not been x-rayed. She had no IV line in despite being obviously shocked when we left her. I was given a bill for €100 which I paid and left with my dead cat. I got mad when I went home and rang them back. I spoke with the vet who had treated her. She said she didn't put her on an IV as she would have had to sedate her and didn't feel it was in her best interests which is rubbish. She said she gave her morphine and an antibiotic. They do not have anyone in the practice at night so our cat died alone in a cage with no one to care for her. I was told they do not have the staff to be in the practice at night. The vet apologised but that was of no benefit to me. I will never forget my children's screams when I told them Smokey was dead. I told them the Vet did everything they could to save her but I know that to be totally untrue. This practice advertises that they provide a 24 hour emergency service, however if you have an emergency out of business hours I would highly recommend you go elsewhere. I will not be bringing our other cat or any future pets to this practice.Read Less

I truly don't know where to start, the most amazing caring people, I have been attending here for the last 7years with my two furbabies , unfortunately I lost my handsome boy Bruce to leukaemia nearly 2 weeks ago, the care and support he got was truly remarkable. We are utterly delighted to have found Eadaoin (Rebel Dog Training)! Within only hours, our 10month old puppy meg had mastered sit and I can honestly say, is calmer already! Eadaoin had a fantastic rapport with meg and was able to work really well with Emma our 11yr old daughter (megs owner) so that Emma can train Meg herself. I brought my 8 week old puppy who was so unwell to see Liam at the surgery yesterday. The kindness he showed to Rocco and to me (a very upset mammy) was just what I needed. Thanks to Barb the Vet at this Clinic my dog avoided an anesthetic/sedation as she has seen good results coming through with Fine Needle Asp. so meant my golden boy did not have to go through Sedation/Anesthetic because he ain't good with that !!
