I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service provided by Castlevet. Sadly, we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved pet, and the experience was made even more distressing by the insensitivity exhibited by the vet. Firstly, our pet was misdiagnosed by Castlevet, and it was only discovered that he had cancer a mere 10 days before his passing. This misdiagnosis led to unnecessary suffering for our pet and significant emotional distress for our family. During the euthanasia procedure, the vet displayed a callous attitude and appeared annoyed by our sorrow. Instead of showing empathy and understanding during this difficult time, the vet made the experience even more painful for us. Losing a beloved pet is an incredibly challenging experience, and we expected better support and understanding from a veterinary professional. It is essential for veterinary professionals to recognize the emotional impact of their work and to provide support to families during times of loss. In addition, I recommend that the vets undergo social courses or training to improve their communication and empathy skills when dealing with clients. Read Less

While on a stay in Dublin last May, I was fortunate enough to come in contact with Castle Veterinary Clinic. My much loved dog, a 12 year old King Charles Cavalier with a heart murmur, had to be operated on to remove a tumour on her spleen. I was well aware of the degree of risk involved but, thanks to the experience and expertise of the staff in Clondalkin - not least Vet Aonghus, she not only survived the surgery but the speed of her recovery was nothing short of amazing! A big thankyou to all concerned. Best wishes, Mary. Read Less
