Last Monday I found a nest of 3 newborn kittens in a planter at my backyard. One already died, one looked very weak and the other one was striving for life, its umbilical cord was still attached to a placenta. My husband put a rain guard over the planter to give some shelter since it was windy and was going to rain. He then buried the one that never lived. It was raining that night, my husband went out around 2am to check the kittens and see if the mammy cat would return. Sadly, one more died and the last one was poorly cold and not responding much. We took the last survivor into our house and my husband embraced it in his hands to warm him up. After 30 mins, it was responding and crying. My husband tried to feed the kitten by dipping milk with little finger into its mouth. Since it’s so tiny, we’re not sure it was sufficiently fed. My husband stayed awake all night to mind the kitten and it liked to stay in his warmth. Next morning we googled to get more info on how to care newborn. We learned a lot and realised that newborn cat won’t pee or poo by itself without mammy cat licking its bottom. We tried to rub its bottom after feeding but not successful. Then we rang Just Cats and told them we found an abandoned newborn kitten that we couldn’t manage. So they gave us a quick appointment to see the newborn. A young man staff at reception was very friendly and took the kitten into to be kept warm until it was attended by the vet. The vet explained to me how to take care of it and said that the kitten was very weak and intensive care was needed. Eventually, I made a choice to let them keep it to give him the best care for more chance of survival. Being a mom of two, such a relief to me as I know that it’s not an easy job to feed every 2-3 hours round the clock. Thanks to all staff in Just Cats for caring the newborn kitten in critical conditons. Hope he’s getting better and growing stronger for a new home. Just Cats are Just Amazing! We wouldn’t go to any other vets having been with them since they opened. They cared for our two gorgeous girls for many years and when Lily and Pheobe were both diagnosed with cancer in 2016 they offered just the most amazing care and were amazing on the days that both girls had to head to the rainbow 🌈 bridge. We now have two boys, one of whom has had a dermatitis type skin condition for most of his young life. But thanks to the patience and persistence of Aoife and Roberta and about a year of treatment we are fingers crossed 🤞 looking as if it has been put under control. They're very caring and understanding towards the cats and really know their stuff too. The waiting area and the examination rooms are designed to be as comfortable as possible for the cats. I brought my eledery cat (nearly 15) to Just Cats to get her teeth removed. She had infections in her gums and it was the only thing that would make her better. The staff were so nice to me and my cat. It put my mind at ease that she was in great hands for a fairly major procedure. She has been back for checkups since then as well. As always, my experience was a very happy one because of the caring, calm and professional staff from the moment you phone until you leave. Both of my cats are always looked after so well. Everyone needs to take their cats here because you! (aswell as them) leave feeling do much better....that everything is taken care of and i order. 3 years ago .. I neutured my small sphinx cat, they kept him there for a few days. I came to check up on him. There was an infection where they did the operation. When they gave him back to me, I had to care for him myself because there was still puss in the area. I never wanted to go there again. A month ago, I brought in my old cat that I have been caring for 16 years (Devon rex). I made an appointment to put him down because I saw that he was in pain and couldn't walk properly. They checked him out. They told me that he was very healthy and that if I didn't like that he was going to the toilet all over the house . . That they would find him a new home. They took 40 euro off of me for the appoint... The next day he was vomiting everywhere and saw that he was unwell. I turned to the Dublin spca, there a week later.. they took a blood sample and told me that he had cancer. We had to put him down. They had much better service than just cats. When I came back to just cats to tell them about the cancer. They didn't even give me back my money or apologise!!! I am very disappointed with this clinic .. beware Read Less

Brought my kitten here for the first time late last night, In a panic when I found my kitten unwell when I got in from work at 6:45. I googled the only vet I could think of near by. We rang just for cats and they stayed open until we arrived even though they close at 7. To do this for a new customer who has never attended the surgery before was outstanding service. My kitten was looked after by a lovely vet and is thankfully already looking better. We will be definitely be attending again. The team at Just Cats have been simply amazing. In June our lovely lady Lily was diagnosed with cancer. She's been having chemo since at UCD which hasn't fully worked and she's not in remission so starts another protocol next week. But we've had precious extra months. In September we got the horrendous news that Lady Pheobe also had cancer and it wasn't treatable. She stayed with us for nearly ten weeks but we had to say goodbye earlier this month and we can only thank Roberta and Roisin and Rachel for the most respectful and dignified way that she left us. Brilliant cat centred vet practice with amazing staff. Jonah and Milky always get the best experience, whether visiting for a vet appointment or the cattery. Aoife and the team have shown great care, patience and persistence with Milky and all her "quirks". The emergency eye operation was such a success and she has had no issues since.
