Best vets ever. Knowledgeable, friendly compassionate and they know each of our dogs by name. Have been great with our 3 dogs. If you're looking for a vet you will not get a more gushing and glowing recommendation and for good reason.
We were recommended Carey and Keane by one day while we were walking our dogs by an elderly lady whose own dog and recently been put to sleep (a very old dog and a close companion that she missed dearly).
She spoke of the practice's vets and nurses, their understanding, their knowledge, their focus on cats and dogs and finally their compassion at the end of her own dogs life.
On her recommendation and as a result of frustration with the vets in a previous practice we brought our two dogs down to Carey and Keane. They solved a gastric issue that one of dogs had be suffering through (he was 6 months old and nothing we did seem to rectify the situation, he had diarrhea for 6 months and our previous practice treated us as fussy parents) they approached it with an open mind and solved a long term issue permanently inside a week or two.
We now have 3 dogs they have seen us through regular jabs, a pup being knocked down, new dogs, sick dogs, and snips and such couldn't ever go anywhere else even when we moved.
Stop reading this long winded post and sign your dog or cat up so that they can be taken care of by John, JP, Caitríona and their wonderful support staff (with a special mention for Gabriello).

I have never ever been to this veterinary before because I have my own veterinary in Charlemont.
Anyway, here are these photos of the mural in this veterinary. I've seen it about loads of times and it features two dogs carrying an injured cat on the stretcher and there is the other one featuring a cat who waves goodbye to two dogs and thanks them for taking care of him. I remembered I saw it for the first time after going to the dentist when I was a child.
That black-eared dog resembles Snoopy, a famous beagle from the popular American comic strip, Peanuts! (Laughs)

Myself and my daughter found everyone we delt with just great, really friendly; caring and professional. These lovely people saved the lives of our pups Ali and Bobby. Love Carey and Keane - always very helpful, very knowledgeable, very understanding and our two dogs actually get excited when they realise that we're going there which is unexpected considering some of the reasons we've had to visit (removing broken nails, neutering, setting a broken foot, etc).
Can't recommend them enough tbh.

I want to thank everyone at Carey and Keane for looking after Juno over the last while. Going in on Tuesday to have to get our little doggy put to sleep was incredibly tough but we got a lot of comfort over the fact that everyone in there was very good to her and treated her so well. By the last couple of days, she actually seemed to enjoy going in to see everyone! I strongly recommend Carey and Keane Vets to anyone living around the area who wants to have their pets looked after in a compassionate and caring way. Thanks again, Jonny and Lorraine.
