I went to this Vet for my cat. She was diagnosed with diabetes and the only way to save her was to give her insulin. They refused to treat her because they said she was too grumpy. I said I would do it myself but they refused to show me how to do it for the same reason. I then came back home with my cat, not knowing what else I should do. But during the night, she got very sick and I thought she wouldn't be able to go through the night. In the morning, I rushed to UCD Emergency Vet and they kept her for 2 days and did an amazing job. She has been saved thanks to them. They immediately gave her a insulin shot because she was having a diabetic shock. It's been 5 months now, I give her insulin twice a day without any problem (against what this Fairview vet thought) and she is stabilized for the moment. I don't understand how you can become vet if you don't want to save animals and even worst, refuse to treat them.... A piece of advice? Never go at the Fairview Vet Hospital but instead you can go to Anicare. They are taking care of my cat since that happened and they are super nice and love pets! Read Less

Brought my dog to this Veterinary Hospital and he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. The vet placed him on heart, blood pressure and fluid tablets for life however he died 4 months later. After receiving my dog€s medical history I noticed his history had be tampered with, certain medications I had bought him had being removed from his history, I made a complaint to the Veterinary council of Ireland to request an investigating against the vet who diagnosed my dog but they did nothing; I would strongly advice any one attending this vet to video record all your visits and request a copy of your pets medical history on a regular basis and when paying for medication request a itemised bill instead Read Less

You can't beat the vets and nurses at this place. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my pets even if I moved further away. They make sure to take the time to speak with you and thoroughly look after the pet. We buy the dog food here too, very reasonable. Highly recommend! Read Less

Absolutely brilliant vet. As we just got our first puppy the vet spent an hour with me giving me lots of advice and reassuring us about any worries we had - from sleeping to eating to potty training. Excellent vet, this was my first trip to the vets as I'm a new pet owner. Although the wait was quite long (first thing on a Saturday morning) to recieve treatment, the service was fantastic. The price for a kitten vaccination was fair and the veterinarian did a full check up, discussed some behavioural techniques and feeding strategies. Definitely recommended. Read Less

I was looking for the closest vet to my work as my new dog will be coming to work with me everyday.I found this vet on yelp and after reading the reviews I called to register my details and get a form signed.Unfortunately when I called I informed the lady that I already had a vet near my house who was gone away for Paddy's weekend.When she heard this her attitude changed quite abruptly,was sharp and essentially informed me that if I wasn't going to attend the vet regularly there would be a problem with my form............It made me quite angry to feel that money was the priority over helping get  a fluffy friend from the kennels.......................... Im sure the vet is excellent but having my own business I know how important first impressions are and that attitude on the phone is not the way to make someone choose your service......................... Great vet had brought our last dog to ciaran  for approx 10 years she had collitis and needed treating on a regular basis but she was looked after so well that when we had to put her to sleep it was due to old age. We have always found the vets and staff very understanding caring and they obviously love animals treating a mongrel the same as a trough breed we now have two new dogs who we would not bring anywhere else. Very fond of this vet - no-one batted an eyelid when we brought a borrowed cat there, encased in two laundry baskets rather than the traditional cat carrier. It's a small place but you are rarely waiting long and the vet has a good catside manner. It also sells hard-to-find pet food, for those awkward animals with allergies/medical conditions. Read Less
