At the end of last year we paid a visit to Dundrum Veterinary Clinic after the health indicator sand that we use indicated an imbalance in his urine. He also had a reduced appetite which we informed the vet of at the time. We presented this information to the vet and were told that this type of litter is a sales pitch and does not work or indicate anything of concern. They sent him home with some antibiotics and said that he was fine without doing any tests.
We moved to Naas at the end of January. The sand (litter) kept changing colour showing a pH imbalance in his urine however, we were not concerned as Dundrum Veterinary Clinic told us it had nothing to do with his health. He was always a chonky cat and lost 1kg of weight over the past 1.5 months. We took him to the vet in Naas as this was concerning. They immediately booked him in for blood tests which confirmed he has stage 4 kidney failure.
Turns out that the health indicator litter DOES work and had they listened to me and did blood tests sooner when we brought him in we might have caught his kidney failure at an earlier stage! This would have prolonged his life expectancy. He is my ENTIRE WORLD and they took valuable years with him from me!

Dundrum veterinary clinic is without doubt in my opinion the best vets adrian and alison are the most compassionate caring and competent vets I have ever come across I would not bring my cats anywhere else my cat torres who unfortunately now has passed away would think staying over night in the clinic was like his 2nd home he loved all the staff I highly recommend this veterinary clinic

Fantastic, incredibly kind , gentle, understanding, patient and professional.
Our dog has been given such fantastic care every time we have been so much so that when we walk past the vets he wants to go in even scratches at the door i let him in for a quick hi , he thinks they are his friends. Can't get a better recommendation than that. They really care we want the best for our dog and this is only where we ever will go.☺🐶

I use their services in Dundrum and Terenure for couple of years for my beloved cat Grantas 18 years old. And would say that every time I came to the vets with no hope I leave with a smile on my face. Sadly my love one pass away with some very serious diseases. I would like to thank dr. Mark Heffernan for his best help at that hard time for me and my little boy. He had been given me advices after hours and answer all my questions with a care of me and my Kitty. Thank you

I can't thank every one at South Dublin Vet's enough for all the help they've given us over the years. They always take such wonderful care of our 5 bunnies and 2 cats. You've seen us through dental problems, broken limbs, cat fights, neutering and more. When our eldest bun fell ill and there was nothing to be done, the team cared for her so well in her final hours and made her passing so much easier on her and us. Thank you all, I'm sure I'll be seeing you again soon when the next mishap strikes! I wouldn't trust my fur babies with anyone else but this fantastic team.

I brought my dog to the Whitehall Road South Dublin vet 4 years ago and found the practice to be incompetent, dishonest and unprofessional. They diagnosed my dog incorrectly with a terminal illness and never admitted or investigated their mistake. I would recommend them to no-one. I never brought him back there. Instead he was fortunate enough to be under the superb care of The Animal Hospital in Tallaght since 2011. Pet owners should always get a second opinion. I will always remain disgusted by the Whitehall Road branch's behaviour and attitude towards my family and I.

Our cat Bowie was in for his vaccination on Saturday morning (our first visit to South Dublin Vets.) Mark was great: extremely thorough, caring and helpful. I told him my cat developed nasty lumps from vaccination injections before so Mark massaged the cat's shoulder area after injection to distribute the vaccine and Bowie has had no reaction :-) Everyone was so friendly there. We've found the vets for us.

At the end of last year we paid a visit to Dundrum Veterinary Clinic after the health indicator sand that we use indicated an imbalance in his urine. He also had a reduced appetite which we informed the vet of at the time. Our dog has been given such fantastic care every time we have been so much so that when we walk past the vets he wants to go in even scratches at the door i let him in for a quick hi , he thinks they are his friends. I can't thank every one at South Dublin Vet's enough for all the help they've given us over the years. They always take such wonderful care of our 5 bunnies and 2 cats. You've seen us through dental problems, broken limbs, cat fights, neutering and more. I brought my dog to the Whitehall Road South Dublin vet 4 years ago and found the practice to be incompetent, dishonest and unprofessional. They diagnosed my dog incorrectly with a terminal illness and never admitted or investigated their mistake. I would recommend them to no-one. I never brought him back there. Instead he was fortunate enough to be under the superb care of The Animal Hospital in Tallaght since 2011. Pet owners should always get a second opinion. I will always remain disgusted by the Whitehall Road branch's behaviour and attitude towards my family and I.

Our cat Bowie was in for his vaccination on Saturday morning (our first visit to South Dublin Vets.) Mark was great: extremely thorough, caring and helpful. I told him my cat developed nasty lumps from vaccination injections before so Mark massaged the cat's shoulder area after injection to distribute the vaccine and Bowie has had no reaction :-) Everyone was so friendly there. We've found the vets for us.
