I had to use this vet once off because my regular vet is closed on the particular day I needed to visit with my cat. I've never see a vet be so un hygienic in my life. He didn't clean his instruments before sticking them in my cats ear and my cat had dog hair on him from this instrument. There was also cotton wool everywhere in stands. I never seen a vet be so rough with an animal, he has the cheek to say "he doesn't like people does he" where my response was a very honest "it's just you, no body else makes him act like that". Every other vet including the blue cross always praise my cat for his calm temperament. The vet that seen my animal should be fired until retained he has no place in a modern vet practice. He is probably to "set in his ways". The reception staff were only lovely it's is just this vet which is disgrace. The rumours were true. Read Less

When you see that the girls working there get excited seeing your pet and your pet feels pretty calm around them (and she is not into strangers really), when your pet gets help needed and you can see how much better she gets after a visit... yep, that's the place to go! Many thanks to all the vets (sorry I don’t remember everyone’s names ) from Botanic clinic and also their santry branch. Una who operated on benji for bladder stones and rang me several times during his stay to keep me posted (I was the nervous nelly) Sarah who helped my Daisy with her allergic reaction to possible bee sting and Michael for helping Laddy, for the great care on His leg as well as dougie eating all sorts and needing an overnight stay. Had my puppie in the blanchardstown vet a couple of weeks ago after she hurt her knee and needed surgery absolutly brilliant vets staff were amazing with kali she was well looked after and she loved the attention from all the lovely staff, she is recovering great. Vet was wonderful with Gizmo! However I rang and asked first how much it cost to have him microchipped and was told €15. Appointment was for 5.30 and waited an hour. Then was asked to pay €35! I was also never informed to bring proof of address! #BlanchardstownAnicare Changed this to 5 star as I've always felt it was 5 star until this one off incident which was addressed quickly and professionally. I really cannot recommend the wonderful staff at Anicare in Blanchardstown enough. Our gorgeous boy, Rosco, is a troubled Rottweiler that we adopted from Dogs Trust 3 years ago. He is extremely vet phobic so we were very worried when he needed to have surgery to remove a growth from his snout. He is a big, strong dog so we needed a good strategy for getting him sedated with the least amount of stress. Fintan and the amazing staff worked with us to come up with a plan that wou...ld get Rosco in and out with the minimum anxiety for him, them and us! They listened to our concerns and worries and worked with us to manage what was a pretty stressful situation. I am so grateful to have such a fantastic team in our corner. Rosco was recovering at home within two hours of us arriving at the surgery. He is not a good candidate for a cone so they applied a double layer of stitches to avoid that additional anxiety. Really kindhearted and caring people work here. We had an injured male house sparrow in our care for few days that kildare animal foundation asked us to drop to this veterinary place for exam before they pick him up. They were kind enough to X-Ray the poor fellah and look after him untill the animal foundation picked him up. They even let us know following morning how he got on after his check up. Truly am gratefull you looked after our little visitor and were soo caring towards such vulnerable small wild bird it's definitelly admirable trait in a veterinary place. Read Less

Botanic Veterinary Hospital have looked after so many of our pets over the years, starting with saving my Cat who was hit by a car almost 20 years ago, going on to remove a tumor succesfully from our Gerbils belly 2 years back and now looking after the annual vaccinations as well as spaying our kitty.
