We were very disappointed with our dealings with the dspca veterinary hospital vets, their approach and even more so their diagnosis. I felt like another reviewer that money and upselling seems a key part of their approach. Unhappy with their diagnosis we sought a second opinion and were thoroughly amazed at not only the contrast in approach but also the insight, knowledge and accuracy of the second vets view for what unfortunately has turned out to be a very serious issue. And while not the key point here the view was delivered at a fraction of the charges previously experienced arguably because they were incredibly knowledgable! My advice to anyone is to seriously consider your options before attending here. Read Less

I brought my dog to Dspca Hospital when my mastiff began to limp. They informed my they will need to do an xray and to bring back my dog the following day. I brought my dog back in the morning and was told they will sedate him and perform the xray. i arrived in the afternoon to collect my dog and was informed they couldn't do the xray as the sedative didnt work and they gave me back a dog that could barely walk and some drugs for him and said if he continues to limp bring him back. 2 weeks later i booked in as the dog made no progress and ask to fully sedate my dog and perform the xrays as felt there was a serious issue. later that day i came to collect my dog and find out the results. They brought greg out and informed us that he had cancer and that was it. we asked for more information and options very little help was supplied. We booked into UCD Vet Hospital for profession help and arrange a consoltation appointment ourselves ( UCD were very helpful and super professional and said themselve they could reach DSPCA for information) we were fully insured but only follow up we got from DSPCA was where was their money and nothing about how is your dog. i felt DSPCA really let themselves down and will never bring another animal to them again. They are more interested in money then helping your animal and the standard of service and communication shown is truly shocking. If you feel your dog is unwell bring it to a different vet and get refereed to UCD. Avoid DSPCA Read Less

Was so impressed with this hospital! I live in London where it's like you have to pay extra just to ask a question! Paula, the nurse there was so nice to my sister and her puppy. She got lots and lots of really practical useful advise not just about health issues, worming etc but how to get the new puppy settled into her home, how to reduce her stress levels, training tips, feeding tips, and really got my sister thinking of the dog she would become rather than just the cuddly puppy she is now. 10/10 for all your help!
